Recently renovated, tasteful decor & spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed & pillows. Quiet aircon & fridge. Quiet room - at the rear of the property, so well away from traffic noise Free Netflix & WiFi. Great kitchenette. Excellent reception staff who went above & beyond expectations eg helped us reschedule our ongoing flight after it was cancelled. Within walking distance of the Botanical Gardens, a nice coffee shop, bottle shop & shopping mall with supermarket. Good value for $’s

I saw someone review the Milano Motor Lodge as 12 out of 10 and I completely agree. Everything was perfect from getting an extra night at short notice, to being showed around the rooms, help with laundry and helping us decide where to explore Christchurch. Nothing was too much trouble and the customer service 5 star. The rooms were equipped with everything you could need, they were clean, comfortable and immaculately decorated. Will definitely stay again when we return next year. Shops, restaurants and city were all within walking distance. We were in the units closest to the road and did not hear any road noise at all. The cafe just down the road Truffles had the best coffee.

If I could give a 12/10 I would. This place was stunning. The little personal touches in the decor, the soup and cheese and crackers, the comfort - the whole thing was amazing. Staff were lovely and super helpful. Hubby was fascinated by the light in the bathroom mirror, the funky shower layout and the mini ironing board. Event though we were on Papanui Rd we did not hear any traffic at all. Plenty of parking too!! We wish we had spent our whole holiday here!!

My only minor suggestion would be curtains in the bedroom as the light came through quite early. Otherwise nothing!

We had a great and comfortable stay at the Milano. We were kindly upgraded to the queen studio which was great! All the things that we would need are available and heaps of free parking for guest.

Nothing at all. Just a suggestion, would be nice if there was a safe in the rooms to store important documents and such. But not a deal breaker. :)

The property managers were very hospitable and kind. The room was everything we hoped and was the cleanest we have ever stayed in, I just wish we had been able to stay longer. The location was beautiful, close to shops,cafes and restaurants. It’s close to the Airport and was a wonderful base to stay whilst in Christchurch. Highly recommend to even the most discerning guest. You will not be disappointed.

Motel is well located to restaurants, supermarket and provides off street parking. Hosts were delightful and happy to assist with out of the ordinary requirements. This was our first stay here and as we travel to Christchurch each 12-18 months it won't be our last. We had a King Studio which was well appointed very comfortable and scrupulously clean.

Of a minor nature but mentioned to the host the fan in the bathroom was very noisy and ran automatically when the main bathroom light was in use.

The room was very recently renovated and extremely comfortable. The bed was the best and most comfortable of our holiday in New Zealand. The laundry service was great for a very reasonable amount of $. The parking was on the premises and free and there were plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Highly recommended. The Milano Motor Lodge is excellent value for money.

Milano has rapidly become our favourite Christchurch accommodation. Handy to where we need to go, comfortable, plenty of room, thoughtful preparation. We really appreciated the extra touches like snacks and great disability access, without the room becoming in any way clinical.

Honestly I feel bad putting anything here, but we would have preferred a firmer bed (though I appreciate others will have different preference, so hard to get right), would have preferred paper tea bags (rather than the Nespresso plastic ones) and the Nespresso coffee capsules needed more actual coffee (3 of the 4 were cocoa)

This is a fantastic motel. The rooms were greatly appointed and the bed was SO comfy. The owners are so lovely and they went the extra mile. Loved the crackers and cheese in fridge and plenty of tea, milk and lovely nespresso coffee machine and capsules available. We will be booking back in here again, as location also fantastic. Walked to Aikmans bar one way then back up street to Carlton Steak House - both fantastic.

The comfort, cleanliness and stylishness of my room far exceeded my expectations. Little extra touches like the mirror light made the room feel luxurious, and it had all the amenities you needed and more. All the furnishing felt new and well cared for, the whole room was extremely fresh and well designed.

There were no blackout curtains on the window facing the inner courtyard where lights stayed on all night.
