The room was fantastic and no road noise. The kids and adults loved the pool. The room was spacious and clean even had an air fryer. We moved the two single beds into the lounge each night as having them in the main room was a bit too much. But all worked well. No air con but able to leave the doors and windows open heaps of air flow.

People in room next to us vaping right outside our open window. Check in was ok, although a how was your day? Or welcome would have been nice. Pretty much here is the key and that was it.

Location was fantastic and easy to gain access to main roads and shoppingcentres, set up and service from the room service team was amazing and we arrived at 2am and the heat was left on for us and a light which I felt was extremely considerate, Easy use of laundry, didn't use pool/bbq but area looked welcoming and generally was welcoming, quite apart from the trucks driving past through the night was a bit loud so took a couple nights to get use to it! Expected for being so close to city though.

Beds were just a bit uncomfortable, and there was an ant issue which I know couldn't be helped just annoying

Excellent location, close to everything we needed, room had plenty of space, parking was great, have stayed before and always have a comfortable stay. Receptionist was incredibly helpful.

Disappointed that the servicing of our unit hadn't been completed, I know it's a busy time of year for Chch motels but I shouldn't have to wipe down the table, put pillowcases on pillows, find TV remotes under the couch and bedside tables. Top of fridge hadn't been dusted for some time. Just little things.

Pretty much everything. Requested late check-in and replied with yes within a few minutes. Instructions were clear. Best communication we ever received. Unit was clean and everything we needed for our stay. The beds were super comfy, and even the sofa bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. Staff were very friendly even when they were super busy. 👌 Thank you, Shelly. We will be back with you guys for our next CHCH adventure. ❤️

Nothing at all. Everything was excellent. Found our fav place to stay in CHCH.

Our ferry crossing from wellington was delayed making our arrival at ashford lodge much later than expected. I rang them to notify them and was given good, clear instructions re where the key to our unit would be etc. The heating in the unit had been turned on for us and on a chilly chch night it was lovely to have a nice warm room. The bathroom and shower were good with good towels, heating etc. We were travelling with our dog. There is an excellent fenced toilet area for her to use. This was well kept and clean and as our dog hates to toilet on-lead was good that she had a secure area to use. We had our own toilet bags but there was amenities there and a bin. Our bed and pillows were not the most comfortable but the sheets were fresh and crisp. The unit itself was clean and fresh. Plenty of space. We would definitely use this motel again and recommend it to friends and family with or without a dog. Thank you for having us

The only thing we could fault was the bed and pillows as above. Both were quite hard but some people prefer that.

Everything was fresh and newish, with lovely carpet and colours. Our room was on the back row, away from the road, with good soundproofing from the busy road and the school holiday family gatherings at the pool right outside our room. I loved the pool on those 30-degree days, too! The lady in the office was happy to look after my bag when I arrived on an early flight before check-in, so I could walk to the mall.

Very spacious, excellent setup for a small family of 5. Excellent facilities - bath for small kids and baby. Baby cot was provided and setup. Very good cooking facilities for a family on a budget. Washing machine was good bonus at $2 a pop - cheap as chips. Very good overall accommodation, would definitely stay again.

Need an extractor fan over the grill, but not a biggy - just opened the door. Bigger rubbish bin, filled up too quickly.

We were very warmly welcomed to the lodge by lovely staff. One bedroom partment was spacious, sunny, warm and cosy, loved having a little balcony to sit out on. Bathroom modern and also spacious, great to have a spa bath. Pool was great for a paddle in the sun, still temperate enough even just after the heating was switched off for winter. Walking distance to lovely cafes and all the gorgeous stores in Merivale including a good supermarket.

Clean, comfortable and warm rooms in a good location walking distance to city centre with plenty of restaurants nearby. Basic kitchen facilities for self catering which are good for families and helpful staff at reception.

Some of the crockery and cutlery in kitchen could do with a bit of a refresh, but still usable.

The rooms were newly renovated and everything looked really clean and tidy. Rooms nice and big and well set out

they look like working really hard in property- a new air fryer arrived while we were there. only comment was that first impression wasn’t that great as building could use a paint on outside but made no difference what you were
