This motel was the cleanest motel we have stayed at in NZ. Absolutely perfect! I commented multiple times on how fresh everything was. We were extremely impressed. Location was handy to town, and the motel was nice and established with lovely tree's and a really homely feel. The lady on reception was just lovely, and very welcoming, which is exactly what you want when you are away from home. You can tell that the cleaners take pride in their job :)

I cannot fault this motel. The only thing we didn't like was the weather, rain rain rain! But this lovely motel had heaters and warm blankets, so we still felt cosy and were thankful for the extra warmth provided.

The location was perfect for walking into the centre of Dunedin. We had two rooms which had a door linking the two so it was like having a large apartment. The kitchen was well appointed with everything needed. Washing machine and dryer available in a laundry area. The owner was exceptionally helpful and friendly. A great welcome and she had upgraded one of our rooms which gave us the extra room perfect for four friends travelling round New Zealand. Beds were comfortable and everything very clean. Parking directly outside the rooms off street.

Lovely big room, bath as well as shower, daily servicing, friendly and helpful staff, laundry on site, convenient location to walk to city or gardens. We have stayed here before and were very happy to return.

Shower water came at high angle and hard to control the pressure - but that's a very small problem in an otherwise excellent stay.

Quiet, well located to local family, warm bedding, powerful spray from shower head.

Only complaint was Sunday morning housekeeping as had left tied up rubbish bag from bathroom by tv, no restock of biscuit/coffee and bedspread pulled over sheets that hadn’t been straightened first.

The lady at the reception is lovely. She helped us carry our luggages and agreed to keep them while we went to explore Dunedin. She was patient and gave us a room downstairs when she saw that we arrived with a lot of luggages. We stayed for 2 nights and the room was cleaned after the first night. Not many accommodation does that. The bed was comfortable and warm with layers of blankets. We enjoy the facilities and services provided.

I wish there was drinking water available on site.

Spacious rooms, well equipped, warm and clean, great location, easy parking, great value and very friendly and helpful team.

Towels and pillowcases are a bit old. I always bring my own towels, and occasionally I need to use the ones provided by the hotel/motel. Not very happy with the bath towels provided. Everything else is very good！

Room is well appointed and comfortable. Love the location as it is close but not too close to everything we need. The folks there are always friendly and super helpful. We would definitely recommend for leisure or work.

The only request I would make is to change the hair dryer - the old wall-mounted option that you have to keep pressing a button to stay on is not great and it always grabs my hair. That is my only wee grumble though!

Great location - unit was very clean and warm - loved the coffee plunger and coffee along with plenty of tea bags, hot chocolate sachets and biscuits etc. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom.

Nothing it was perfect for our overnight stay.

Alhambra Oaks is in an ideal spot between the centre of town and the north, near the museum, botanic gardens and the university bookshop. Really friendly cafe with good breakfast just along the road. Staff are always welcoming and helpful.

Location close to Otago Museum and University campus but also just a short walk (10 minutes) to restaurants on George St. Friendly owner with nice cat. Good layout of motel and inside the apartment. Very clean.
