We travel often and in cleanliness, quality of accomodation and value for money this accomodation cannot be beaten. Our host greeted us warmly upon arrival and provided us with a clear map and lots of suggestions for things to do and places to see during our time in Dunedin.

Everything was top shelf at this self-contained accomodation. If there is 1 suggestion I could make that would make this unit absolutely perfect it would be that the large window at the bedroom end of the apartment have a blockout curtain as the beautiful blinds unfortunately let in a lot of light during the night. (However, this would not stop me from staying again)

A bright spacious studio, located close to the city centre . It had a very comfy bed and shower was great . A microwave for heating meals and crockery and cutlery . There was a washing machine that we could have used . The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

It was close to the road and even though it’s double glazed was could still hear it in the mornings. However to be fair to the owners they provided ear plugs .

This is a very nice, clean, modern motel. The host is friendly and helpful. We booked the one bedroom ground floor suite which is set up for those with mobility issues. It was excellent with a great bathroom, excellent and well equipped kitchen and a couch and armchair plus dining table and chairs in the living area, plus separate bedroom with a comfortable bed. There was a dedicated carpark and ramp access to the room.⁹ Everything was spotlessly clean. Location made it easy to access many parts of Dunedin easily. Highly recommended. Oh and the underfloor heating in the bathroom was lovely. We chose this accommodation on the strength of the reviews and it lived up to these.

Nothing really but we would have appreciated a towel rail for the hand towel by the handbasin rather than on the other side of the bathroom.

When we arrived we were greeted by friendly hosts, it was easy to park and it was right outside the locations of the rooms. The rooms were very modern and very clean and tidy with tea and coffee and milk. The wi-fi was about 8 out of 10 but was adequate for what we needed as we work away from home. The location is about a 15 to 20 minutes walk into town where you will find loads of places to eat.

Our upstairs studio apartment (#10) was large & very clean with new carpets, furniture & fitments. The king-sized bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was well supplied with all the basics, & bathroom wonderful! We very much enjoyed our 4 night stay, & would happily return.

There was some overnight noise from proximity to the university during O-week, but it didn’t impact our stay.

We were seriously impressed with the quality of Beechwood Boutique Accomodation. We received a pleasant welcome from Michael who gave us information & ideas on what we could do in Dunedin. Our suite was absolutely beautiful & everything was in immaculate condition. I have never seen so many power points in one room, I counted 14 in the main living room. There were beautiful roses in flower outside our door. Off street parking was provided, it was a little tight. We were sad to leave & wished we could have stayed longer.

The owners were absolutely wonderful! Very accommodating and friendly! The suite was perfect for a several day stay and had everything we needed! Bed was super comfortable! About a mile from downtown and half a mile from beautiful Dunedin Botanic Gardens!

Parking was tight but that’s pretty typical for city motel parking!

Rooms were extremely clean and had all the amenities required. Central location as well, close to restaurants and supermarkets. I checked out a day early and they were kind enough to refund me the amount for 1 night's stay although I had not given them enough notice.

Parking is a bit of an issue but not a major. Limited space to maneuver vehicle.

Great location for the town and the botanic gardens. We stayed in no4 which had a separate bedroom with 2single beds and a queen in the main room. Beds were really comfy with very nice bedding The bathroom was super modern with heated floor and towel rail along with fluffy towels.This motel is a delight everything is spotless and immaculate .

we had a spacious, nicely decorated upstairs suite for our 7 night stay. the north facing aspect afforded heaps of light and warmth. location is excellent and we will stay at beechwood again when we next visit.

no drawers for clothes storage- important for a longer stay; not so much if you’re only staying a night or two. bed was not that comfortable.
