We stay at Distinction Hotel a few times each year as it is very conveniently located near my parents retirement village. It is nice and the rooms are good and spacious but they are rather tired. However the staff are lovely and we always have a nice experience staying.

The bathroom has cracks in the floor sadly and it's all just a bit tired looking. I think the price per night is OK but it's more like 3 star than 4 star. The corridors badly need tidying up.

This time we didn’t have breakfasts but in the past we’ve stayed and enjoyed breakfasts with a great variety of foods. The hotel is very conveniently located near Foxbridge Retirement home where my parents reside. We stay quite regularly and find it very close and convenient.

My only complaint is the state of the hallways going into the rooms. The rooms are nice but the hallways make it look like your heading into a dive! Which is not true as the rooms are well kept and clean.

The beds were clean and comfortable

Shower was a little dirty. Cracked tiles on bathroom floor. I bought a deal for 3 adults through Booking.Com for one night including free breakfast was in writing with my confirmation but the reception said it was only for 2 breakfasts and wouldn't budge on that. So I asked to speak to the manager who was very receptive and said they can do the 3 free breakfasts although he also said Booking.Com had it wrong and refused to change it. On the other hand the Buffet breakfast was fabulous although some foods were a bit cold but tasted great so I was happy but my mother wasn't. The staff were very apologetic about this.

The room was good. The hairdryer was too hot and could not be adjusted. The restaurant food I had was good but limited selection. The bed was comfortable and there were sufficient blankets etc.

I would have liked different food selections. However, the food I ordered was good and they only put on it the ingredients I requested (not a fan of onions on sandwiches).

Lots of parking space and Check in was easy. Reception staff were so welcoming. Comfortable room for 2 adults with three kids. Beds were comfortable and good water preassure. The ladies at the Restaurant are Super nice. I actually thought breakfast would be basic continental, like the usual cereal, toast. It was not basic at all, it was more of a buffet breakfast which icluded everything, eggs, fruits etc.. Very tasty This Hotel is conviniently close to town and places we needed to get to. We will be staying here again, next time we are in Hamilton. GOLD STARS for all STAFF, the reception, restaurant and room service crew. PERFECT

Liked everything

The rooms were very nice and the beds were lovely. The decor was really nice. It was warm and had a big TV. Nicely set out. Can’t fault the bedroom. Amazing breakfast and staff were fantastic and friendly. Made effort to be more than welcoming.

The shower wasn’t at all good. Terrible water pressure. Dirty screen doors. Thick soap scum. Couldn’t see through doors clearly. Cracked tiles. Let down the whole look. The entry was littered with leaves.

No parking had to walk miles away to our wing. We struggled to open the door into our wing. We noticed that other people struggled to open door into their wing. Maybe look at another way instead of a key maybe a swipe card.

The size of our room was awesome. Good quality breakfast range. Close to everything I needed. Would highly recommend you to my friends.

Found it really hard to open our room door due to it sticking solid on the carpet when entering. We had to push really hard to open our door. This made it hard to close our door when leaving the room as well. This didn't spoil our stay with you though.

Loved having 3 beds and a buffet breakfast included. Beds were comfortable. Amenities great! Free parking was a bonus! Lady on reception on arrival and same lady on departure was amazing very friendly, helpful and smiling. Housekeeping was great, clean rooms.

Was disappointed that the spa wasn't going in the winter, kids were looking forward to that one of the main reasons we booked this place. Place is a bit run down could do with an upgrade. A place to plug in a EV would be fantastic. Breakfast staff could do with a smile under their masks didnt seem to happy to be there, some service at breakfast checking in and spare cutlery would be good.

Comfiest beds and pillows ever. Buffet breakfast great. Tons of variety.

Decor in main reception felt very dreary and dull, I was quite shocked how poor the decor, given it is one of the highest priced accommodations in Hamilton. When I arrived I actually thought I must be in thr wrong place. Whereas decor in rooms was good. Get some colour and a few nice decor items in there!
