A pleasant stay for the area! While the motel was basic, as expected for a small town, it had some nice touches. The TV was small but offered Netflix, the shower, though simple, had great water pressure, and the bed was average but comfortable enough. The highlight was the balcony overlooking the lagoon and nearby mini waterfall—a lovely surprise. The host was truly memorable. His exceptional customer service, local knowledge, and excellent recommendations elevated the experience and made it far more enjoyable than anticipated. A solid choice for a short stay!

Comfortable room with good bed and lovely views. Hosts (Michael) was very attentive and even put on a free New year's party on the grounds with a live band and fireworks against the backdrop of the waterfalls.

Not that I was on holiday to use the WiFi or the TV, but there were a few quiet times that it would have been nice to relax and watch Netflix or use my phone, unfortunately the bandwidth was sporadic (likely based on use of other guests), so if possible, increasing the bandwidth of the internet or ensuring the wifi is working in every room would be great.

Great location with views of the Haruru falls and close to the walking trail. The rooms were well maintained and spotless! We found the room very cosy with a comfortable bed and appreciated the small touches like cereal and snacks and water/milk. Michael was brilliant in recommending places to explore and we enjoyed the added touch of a challenge he gave us to complete on our visit to Russell.

From being greeted on arrival and throughout our stay we were treated in a polite and professional manner and this also follow the service, the knowledge and advise given by the host of the surrounding areas was knowledgeable and very helpful, the facilities although evidence of upgrading met our expectations, with the location having a range of shops within 5 minutes drive and ideal for us to visit local sites and make day trips to other destinations.

Fabulous view. Room had small kitchen and an outdoor bbq. Reception guy was so friendly and helpful. Option to use kayaks. Small swimming pool. Beach to river and view of falls. Really comfortable bed. Although breakfast was not included we were left tea/ coffee/ milk/ juice and cereal. Supermarket just down the road. Restaurants nearby if needed.

Really nice to be able to go for a quick swim after a long drive with a view on a waterfall. Michael was very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. The room was clean, tidy and well equipped. Very good location too. We had a great night and it was very quiet and relaxing. It is a shame we stayed only one night but we will try to come back for a longer stay next time!

From the moment we arrived , we were welcomed with a friendly smile. Cam offered to help carry luggage to our room. Room was cleaned to a very high standard. Everything was there that we required. Even extras like orange juice, cereal , chips and Oreo's. Very quiet, even thou main road runs behind units. Didn't hear any noise including neighbouring units. Had the most beautiful view from our balcony overlooking the falls and river. Not far to town and attractions. Hosts Cam and Mike were exceptionally helpful and made our stay stressless. I would highly recommend staying here. We will certainly be back. Thank you both.

Amazing location right at the waterfall. Relaxing. Super friendly owners and staff. Good kitchen and refrigerator for actually being able to shop and cook meals. Great value for a family.

No negatives. The place is a bit dated, but for the location and price, we didn’t notice or mind at all. You can tell the owners are doing the best with what they’ve got. It’s super clean and lots of space for a family of four.

•Central to town 5 minutes walk from a restaurant servicing beer and nice food. •6 minutes walk drive from the beach. •Hospitality was excellent. Gave us lots to do. • The bed is so comfortable and we woke up to a beautiful view of the lake each morning!! •Highlight is kayaking on the lake! We will definitely be back😁😁

falls motel & campground is a great place to stay especially for families looking for affordible accomodation. It has its own unique charm & its view of the waterfall is an awesome sight to wake up to. Our host michael has such a warm & welcoming personality & my family cannot wait to stay here again .

Not having the rest of my family there . They wold have loved it especially the camping ground below the motel with an even more spectacular view & local history about the falls
