I like the location, decoration and aesthetics of the property. Some of the staff were fantastic. The breakfast chef when I first arrived was great. I loved Level 5. I had a few treatment at the spa. The night life on the terrace was good, I enjoyed it. I liked the fact I was also able to watch football at the bar.

I felt some of the staff were not informed about certain things. I had a 15% off food & drinks during my stay, however I was told I was only allowed it off just food. We also had late check out on our booking, once again the staff were not aware of this offer. I was told to make payment when I arrived although I had already supplied my bank card details. I wanted to pay using my American Express card, however their card machine wasn’t working.

After staying at some other places in Lagos, this was a relieve. A relative clean place with good facilities. Most of the staff is very friendly. Nice pool and lots of beautifull views over Lagos. Next time we are in Lagos we will skipp the other places and go here directly.

While checking out, the bill was incorrect. The staff member however fixed the problem right away. The exchange rate for cash exchange is rediculous. While the banks give 1500 at this moment, the hotel would give 900 Naira for one euro. I know it's not a hotels primairy function, but it would have helped me to get a normal price. Now I had to go to an exchange.

The staff at reception and concierge are very friendly. Room size was great. Food is pricey but good and the breakfast buffet is varied. Great gym. Pool is a good size.

However the staff in the restaurant need a bit of training. I can see that there were lots of prostitutes around but this also meant that sitting alone as a female, took forever to get service. It was not uncommon for them to walk away whilst serving you because a male customer beckoned. Probably a cultural difference, but I fail to understand why in a supposed 5 star hotel, people would literally just sit at your table without asking and it was quite a negotiation to get them to move. The steam room and the sauna were not on but there was a switch. I was told it would take about 10 minutes. Half an hr later, there was a lot of smoke in the steam room but no heat. Sauna did not heat up at all.

Breakfast had a great variety.

The only downfall is that the menu does not change. You get the same thing every day

I loved the hotel which gave me peace of mind, as I was visiting Lagos for the first time and needed a place that felt comfortasble for me. The room was spacious and the daily cleaning kept it in great condition throughout. Breakfast was ok but by Day Three, the lack of variety made me opt for other options outside of the hotel. For example, the chicken sausage could have been replaced with something else atleast twice in a week.

I really do not have much to critcize aside from being almost charged much more than what I had initially been quoted. We were able to resolve it but the attitude was "pay or get away" and I had to almost prove that it was not a matter of affordability but rather a case of having made a booking vai booking.com and getting a different rate than what the front desk gent was asking me to pay. Other than that, my stay was seamless.

Good location, amazing staff, great hospitality. The breakfast can be improved but this is coming from a Turkish person and I have long stopped expecting a good breakfast when I am away from Turkey. The pool bar is good but sometimes there's too much wind. Other than that the lobby bar is too small, might be quite better if the hotel had another bar, except the sports bar in 5th floor, which was like super cold because of the A/C. The A/C in the hotel running full time for 22 degrees Celcius, which in my opinion is too cold, since Lagos has a lot of humidity and when it is combined with humidity it provides additional cold levels. I have heard many good things about the Soho Chinese restaurant but did not get a chance to try it.

Clean, aesthetically clean the decor was beautiful. It gave native Nigeria and also vibes very serene with live music and a welcoming atmosphere.

Honestly, I loved everything about my state especially the staff was so accommodating from the housekeeper to the head of Security. Everybody was welcoming from Gloria to Mary to Joseph to Prisca to Kelvin to Michael to Augustine was fantastic. I am the chef and sure that I enjoyed my meal. The food was out of this world. I couldn’t stop eating every single day.

Airport transfer is bookable (email: [email protected]) with the hotel, this was really handy and gave us peace of mind for both our arrival and departure journeys. The breakfast buffet was amazing as it had a mixture of Nigerian and international delicacies. We had complimentary fruits sent to our room after check in. Courtesy drinks (water) also in our hotel room daily. Our room was spacious. Bed was comfortable and I liked the pillows. The view from our room is beautiful. The rooftop bar and swimming area is a nice relaxing space. The staff are very kind and welcoming.

I felt like the bathroom and shower area needed thicker blinds/curtains due to its see through-ness.

OMG what an incredible hotel. I have to say I have never stayed at the Lagos Continental before but I have stayed at amazing hotels world wide such as The Savoy in London, The Ritz in Paris, the Lagos Continental would definitely be a serious contender. The rooms at the Lagos Continental were luxurious, extremely spacious, very clean, amazing bathroom suite, a phenomenal room view (we stayed on the 7th floor) and should be the standard of service every hotel in Nigeria aspires to. I hate to say this but most of the hotels in Nigeria that we stayed at always fell short in one or more areas ie the room was spacious and clean, but the bathroom small and dingy, or the restaurant food was great but the room was not of a good standard, however the Lagos Continental was practically perfect in all areas. The room was extremely spacious and extremely clean, the bathroom suite which consisted of both a separate bath, shower and toilet was immaculate, the beds were roomy and comfortable, they even provided both hard and soft pillows to accommodate ones preference. what really impressed me was our shower hose broke and I mentioned this to the housekeeper in the morning by the afternoon when we returned to our room after a swim, the shower hose had been replaced with a brand new hose and head. I also have to commend the brilliant housekeepers who kept the rooms clean and fresh to an incredible standard. Abubacka our housekeeper was incredible, always very professional, pleasant and kept our room to an incredible standard, always with a smile.

The Continental was a fantastic experience that I had to include another 17 days with my trip and I stayed with them not minding the cost. As their staffs were extremely warm individuals. From the kitchen staffs at their breakfast area in the morning. Esther, Josephine, Ruth, their manager Mr Gbenga and not forgetting the ever smiling Ejiro at the poolside.
