Location: Excellent. The hotel is located near the Bergen harbour, walking distance from the ship cruises, to the funicular to the Floyen mountain and to the Berghuis castle. Also fish market, many shops and restaurants are nearby. Staff: Very helpful, patient and polite. Gave many good advises. Room: Standard room. Not particularly spacious, but well equipped and very clean. The same goes for the bathroom. Breakfast: Excellent. In the nearby restaurant (Soya?). Very tasty, superb quality (and quantity...) An important bonus is that the coffee machine can be used at any time, and it is on the house.

The view from the window could have been better, but it was of little importance (to us, at least)

The staff was wonderful and the room was much better than expected. They had a Chinese Restaurant next door and that was the best Chinese food I have had in a long time. The location was great and it was charming and warm and everything you could want!! We were so impressed.

We stayed for two nights and the second day they forgot to clean our room. I thought maybe they didn’t clean until after you left so we weren’t going to say anything. I think my pocketbook hit the call button and the lady came up seeming frustrated we had called. We asked since she was there for two things of instant coffee and her response was that the room was cleaned everyday and we would get some. This was at 6pm so not likely and we never got the room cleaned and we never got the coffee. I had to get dressed and go to the lobby at 5AM the next morning. I say this more to help than anything because other than that, this was an absolute Jewel in Bergen. What a nice place!!!!

The property is nice. Located in the center of town and walkable to everything. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Great breakfast and bar.

Our room was tiny, much too small for two people with suitcases. Our view consisted of metal wall which was disappointing considering our stay was for five days. The hotel was not busy, so we could have been given a better room, but using booking.com automatically puts you in the cheapest room at the hotel. The room wasn’t even provided basic toiletries. You might want to rethink a discounted price vs an enjoyable stay.

The staff, Christina and Celine were marvelous. Well they couldn't do enough to make us comfortable. The ladies that clean the rooms were friendly and helpful, and I wish I could stay in Norway with these folks more often. The hotel was a good deal considering it's closeness to the city and how very expensive other hotels are in Bergen. Hi marks to the two ladies that took care of us at the desk. There was a bicycle race and the road to the hotel was closed, so we called the hotel and Christina came down the block to find us and carried some of our luggage back to the hotel. I was embarrassed but very grateful to have a young lady carrying my gear. Way to go you guys!

Norway is very expensive including the hotel. The room was smaller than we are used to in Canada, but I believe it is typical in Norway. It was very modern and clean

Every single staff member we encounter was lovely, kind and seemed very genuine. The breakfast was delicious. Lovely decor throughout. Location is BANG centre. Bed and room were comfy. All perfectly clean. Good tv. Booking puts this rating as 8, but i think I would give it 9.5

I know we booked the cheapest room, but I was surprised at the size did not expect it that small and dark of natural light as window faced a wall. But was still 100% worth it on a budget.

Fabulous location, very nice breakfast, very clean, beds were exceptionally comfortable. I would like to single out one of the employees — a young woman named Christina, or perhaps Kristina, who was remarkably helpful as well as being cheerful and friendly. She made our stay even better through her recommendations, directions and advice, and she helped us locate a missing tablet in the Oslo airport. She is a real treasure!

Our single rooms were very small even by European standards, and we could have used more places to put things. It was difficult to find room to open a suitcase all the way. We didn’t see the double rooms; perhaps they are larger.

The location, the bar area, the breakfast location - everything was amazing - if only the room had been a little bigger to accommodate our 2 suitcases. I realise this is because the hotel is an older style model, but would highly recommend the Bergen Harbour Hotel to anyone visiting the area. The location in particular is so close to so many attractions.

As mentioned - the room was smaller than expected. But no complaints really once we got used to putting our suitcases under the bed and pulling them out again as needed.

Good breakfast choice on the continental menu - breakfast served in the bar, which was a little cramped at times, but perfectly fine. The room was fine, bed was very comfortable. Loan umbrella was a total necessity. Check out for the early flight was very quick and efficient.

The room was on the front of the hotel, which is opposite a bar, so got a little noisy on Friday-Saturday night - the double glazing dealt with that easily, but it did mean you couldn't really open the window through the night.

Perfect location but most important for me the excellent staff. Everyone was nice and welcome. Especially, I want to thank Christina who was the first one we met there and all our stay she made me, and my friends felt like home. I recommend this small and cozy hotel for everyone, who wants the best location and excellent service in the Bergen. I am going to return to Bergen and definitely will stay there.

Some of the rooms can be a litter bigger

I had the top floor, so the view was pretty great. Interior is modern and clean for the most part (some loose hairs were here and there). Staff was nice and friendly. The location is pretty much the center, so no issues to getting to where I wanted to go.

The bar on the other side of the street was really loud on the weekend. Up until 1-2am, they were blasting music full sound. It was the summer weekend, so maybe it's happening only then.
