Great location boutique-style hotel literally one block from the harbour & town centre - only a 12 min walk from the central railway station. Staff were excellent - very friendly, extremely helpful, multi-lingual & accommodating - nothing asked was too much. The reception staff also ran the bar and cooked & served the breakfast - which consisted of a good variety of both northern European & western cuisine, including eggs & baked-on-the premises bread. Room was a good size, recently refurbished, warm & quiet with a great shower. Room also included a small refrigerator to keep personal items cold. The hotel also had a washing machine & dryer for guest use, which the staff assisted with, as the machines utilised Norwegian language & settings. The staff we dealt with (Sarah, Kiki, Irene - & 1 other whose name I forget - apologies....) were the nicest group of staff members in any hotel that we have stayed at - & we have had many hotel nights during years of O/S travel. Should we ever return to Bergen, we will DEFINATELY stay here again.Well done, owners/managers of the Hotel - you should be VERY proud (and thankful) for your wonderful staff. They make the hotel feel like home.
Nothing about the hotel was bad. A couple of suggestions, though, may add some finesse to an already great stay. i) Tissues in the bathroom would be a nice addition. There were none but there was a shelf where they could be stored - they'd be a simple & very practical addition. ii) the hair dryer storage bracket was located too close to the bathroom sink - if you stood square onto the sink while shaving or brushing your teeth (or drying your hair) your left arm continually made contact with eithe4vthe bracket or the hair dryer itself - it was just host in an awkward spot. Moving it back by 30 cm would solve this issue.

The hotel was well situated in walking and seeing attractions and restaurants. Some of the staff, Sara and Kiki were most kind and helpful. The breakfast was very good. Plus, we were able to do laundry, very helpful since we are traveling for 2 months. The room has wooden floor which makes it cleaner. But the locations was a mixed experienced.
The hotel sits almost above a bar/club which was very noisy until 3:30 am. So sleep was disturbed nearly every night. We luckily had good weather and if we shut the windows, the room was too warm. But the room was quieter.

At first we didn't have a great room, but the owner (we thinkhe was the owner/manager) managed to get us to another room which was absolutely perfect. The room had a small balcony and the view was amazing. The location couldn't be any better. And even though the hotel is in the city it is remarkably quite. Highly recommend it, just make sure you get a great room :-) Mind you, it's a tiny hotel so I don't think they have mega spacious rooms. But what they have is awesome.
If anything can be said, the bathrooms are small. The shower is great, water pressure is good, but they are just tiny. But clean.

Wonderful location and the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in!! I loved the breakfast buffet with everything you could dream of, and lovely staff on hand to help. Very quiet hotel with soundproof windows, however they can be opened for fresh air. Beautiful art and decor, huge TV with lots to watch. Kettle with tea and coffee, bathroom had wonderful unlimited soap, lotion, shampoo and conditioner!! More towels would have been ideal but I was satisfied! I can't rave enough about this quaint but modern hotel. Also enjoyed the bar downstairs! Wonderful ladies serving.
Nothing, it was perfect in every way!

Centrally located. All the places to visit are close by (10 min walk). I like that it’s close enough to the harbour but tucked just a couple blocks away from the noise and crowd. I also appreciate that it’s very accessible to public transportation. The airport bus stop is just 5 min walk from the hotel. The Bergen train station is also within walking distance. The staff are extremely nice and accommodating. Special shoutout to Kiki for making me comfortable while waiting for my room and have amazing food recommendations.
Quite tiny, but comfortable and comfortable sufficient for a solo traveler for 2-3 nights.

Overall the location was great to all the places we wanted to visit. The rooms were clean and breakfast was nice. The staff is extra nice and helpful.
Be aware that there is a night club across the street that closes at 3 am. In the summer you will want the windows open since there isn't any AC. During the weekend, there was a noise coming from the street as the club closed. Since we were on the 2nd floor, smoke from people smoking on the street would fill our room.

Great location right off the harbour and easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the train. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the room was clean and perfect for what I needed as a solo traveler. It might have been a bit tight for two people with their things. The bed was comfy. Really happy about the accommodations!
The room was kind of small with little storage for your suitcase and clothes, but not a deal breaker by any means. I wish I would have had a better view as well.

Location was just one block up from the main harbor area and one block from the old town. Great location and very comfortable. Room was on the smaller side, but had everything a hotel room should (including a fold down desk). Breakfast was excellent
Because hotels in Bergen do not have A/C (its not needed!), it could get a little loud at night with the windows open. No fault of th hotel, and a tradeoff for location! It was worth it to stay there and would do so again!

Breakfast is amazing and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Their English is exceptional too if you need that. We parked down the street in the garage--it was ~350 NOK for 18 hours (overnight).
Our only comment--wouldn't even call it a complaint--we like to sleep with the windows open to cool the room but there is street noise so we ended up closing them. The front desk may have offered us a fan to use in the room if we had asked for one but we didn't bother.

The staff was wonderful and the room was much better than expected. They had a Chinese Restaurant next door and that was the best Chinese food I have had in a long time. The location was great and it was charming and warm and everything you could want!! We were so impressed.
We stayed for two nights and the second day they forgot to clean our room. I thought maybe they didn’t clean until after you left so we weren’t going to say anything. I think my pocketbook hit the call button and the lady came up seeming frustrated we had called. We asked since she was there for two things of instant coffee and her response was that the room was cleaned everyday and we would get some. This was at 6pm so not likely and we never got the room cleaned and we never got the coffee. I had to get dressed and go to the lobby at 5AM the next morning. I say this more to help than anything because other than that, this was an absolute Jewel in Bergen. What a nice place!!!!
