The main reason my friend and I got this room is because there's an actual separation between the two twin beds. Almost every hotel in Norway defines a "double room" as two separate beds, pushed together (so as to defeat the purpose of asking for a room with two beds, and, as far as I can tell, baffle Americans). This room actually had a few feet between the twin beds. Beyond that: Perfect location, walking distance from everything you want to see in Bergen. Staff was super friendly, lobby is classy. Breakfast buffet was amazing, high quality, and had so many options (although that's common at a lot of hotels in Norway). The bathroom was sparkly clean and had really nice, locally branded toiletries. One thing: one of the walls in the bathroom shower is a mirror. The whole thing. Do with that information what you will.

Wish the windows opened -- not a one did.

The hotel is located in the city centre. It was easy to reach from the airport at midnight; I took the tram No. 1 (every 15 minutes) during the night for 40 Krone (the ticket is for 90 minutes and is saved on your payment card). There are no toilets on board. It takes around 40 minutes to reach the city centre, and you have to travel to your last stop. The hotel was 5 minutes walk from the tram stop. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff members were polite, cheerful, and helpful during my stay. My room was a good size, with a double bed and a spacious, large bathroom. I got a fridge and hair dryer with two pairs of slippers (a nice touch). The mattress was so comfortable that it was very hard to leave bed in the morning. I also liked the breakfast, which had a good variety of options for me: boiled beans, fried eggs, and fried potatoes, among other available menu items. The dock is nearby and within 7 minutes walk from where Fjords tours run in the morning and other walking tours (5–10 minutes). There are a lot of convenient stores, restaurants, and fast food chains around the hotel. I am not sure about the quality of noise cancellation between rooms, but a small bit is expected. Also, the late check-out facility is available at a reasonable rate per hour. The way back to the airport is using the same tram No. 1 and from the same stop.

Nothing really!

This hotel was very convenient to all the sites we planned to visit. We walked from the rail station off Norway in a Nutshell. We easily walked to the Fishmarket, the funicular, the Bryggen, RosenKrantz Tower, etc. The plaza was a pleasant place to relax. We caught the Lightrail easily to the airport. On top of it all, the barceptionist was exceptional. He easily pointed us in the right direction and looked up things if we had a question he wasn’t sure about. Lastly, the breakfast was also such a lovely addition.

nice room, nice location, very nice décor and good breakfast

I thought it was a pity that the staff did not think much about the stay of guests with a dog. You expect the hotel to be dog friendly and you can have a drink with the dog at the bar in the evening so you don't have to leave it in the room. I understand that it is not possible in a restaurant because of the food, but in the bar we think it should have been possible. Our experience in several other hotels was better in terms of dog friendliness

I would describe Hotel 13 as a boutique luxury hotel. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the baths luxurious. The breakfast had a wide variety for all tastes. The location was central.

The reception area is tight and over cluttered. The large screen tv was lovely but had few selections.

I had a standard room facing the backyard: Room was nice, clean and very quiet. The bed was great and the bathroom was huge! The staff was friendly and the location is super central with easy access to everything you need in the city center. Also enjoyed that it was a boutique hotel, which made everything a bit more calm and relaxed.

Breakfast selection was good, but the eggs were cold and the yoghurt was warm.

The location is superb!! Right in the centre!! Iconic Bryggen is 6 mins walk away. The staff is absolutely accommodating and welcoming. All of them were super helpful with special mention to one of the receptionist (Vera) she made our super early check-in request very smooth. We were travelling with 3 kids and in addition to early check-in that day the breakfast for kids was free! All in all - very warm, welcoming and relaxing stay.

Can’t say anything here.

very good breakfast, good location, friendly staff

strange room setup (bathroom separated by a glass door with reduced privacy, minibar situated in the bathroom, locked door leading to the another room) on the price side

Great location, it is at the center of Bergen city.

Our room is looking in the rear of the building. It is the back of another hotel and the bright light is always on. You have to make sure the curtains are covering the edges of the window. There’s scaffolding during our stay so it’s not a great view.

Very loud on weekend nights! Kids out partying. Room key for electricty in the room never worked and they didn’t bother to fix it.
