Good location easy to find and walk to. Lots of rooms so price likely to be ok with a nice breakfast.

Lacks a bit of character the architecture of the hotel is utilitarian.

Very comfortable hotel (I selected a roomier room when booking as I've found out in the past that regular rooms in Norway can be on the small side), and super helpful staff. I didn't need much, but the little I asked, they were keen and solved right away (e.g. I asked for an electric kettle to make coffee/tea in the room, and they provided me with one right away). Breakfasts was very good and has something for everyone. I have found that breakfast in Norwegian hotels generally put to shame the breakfasts in North American hotels, and the Scandic Neptune's breakfast fully lived up to that tradition.

Nothing really to complain. If I were to be picky, I would have liked to have a coffee/tea maker in the room by default, but the hotel provided me with the kettle when I asked. The lesson here is always go and politely ask when you need something, and often enough, things can be fixed.

Breakfast was excellent with a good range of hot and cold dishes. We especially liked the Lunch Pack option at breakfast where you paid NoK95 and given a bag and wrapping paper. You can choose anything from the breakfast buffet for lunch...basically fill the bag. We made sandwiches with beautiful fresh bread, took a couple of pastries, some vegan protein balls and a handful of cherry tomatoes. A bargain and no waiting in a queue.

Could have had two tubs of butter at the bread board at breakfast. Always seemed to run out of butter. Other than that (very minor) , we had a wonderful 5 days staying there.

I recently stayed at the Scandic Neptun Hotel in Bergen, and I had a wonderful experience. The room was excellent, offering a stunning view of Bryggen, which made every morning special. The hotel is centrally located, making it incredibly convenient to explore all the major attractions in Bergen. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the breakfast spread was diverse and delicious, catering to various tastes and preferences. The only minor issue was the noise from the radiators, which was noticeable at times. However, I must commend the hotel’s staff for their prompt and efficient resolution of the problem each day. Their professionalism truly enhanced my stay. Overall, I highly recommend the Scandic Neptun Hotel for anyone visiting Bergen. It combines great location, beautiful views, excellent cleanliness, and outstanding service.

The hotel is in a very good location close to the centre, the fish market and restaurants, cafes and only walking distance from where the airport bus stops The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable with a lovely view from the window. There was plenty of hot water in the shower. There was a kettle and tea, coffee making facility in the room. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety to choose from. We requested a room on the eighth floor. Therefore, it was accessible by lift. Staff was friendly and helpful.

There was no temperature icontrol in the room, and in the summer, the room was too hot. The telephone in the room was not working therefore couldn't get in touch with the reception to ask about the temperature control. The bathroom smelled of sewage.

We initially stayed at the Neptune for one night prior to going on a Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Express Voyage. We had a warm welcome on arrival and an excellent breakfast. We checked at the desk about our return booking this time for a three nights stay. On checking in for this booking again a warm welcome at the desk and we had been given an upgrade to a mini-suite on the 6th floor. Some work was still in place as this floor had only recently been refurbished but this was not a problem. The location of the hotel is excellent as a base for exploring Bergen and all the the restaurants around the Harbour are close by. The choice and quality of the food at breakfast was exceptional.

The maze to get to our room This may change when building alterations are completed. The smokers standing around the front doors. The lack of English language channels on tv. The poor response to reboot the t v when it froze on a channel. I ended up fixing it myself by stacking chairs to reach the switch. The staff could be a little more helpful at this hotel

Great location , lovely breakfast which is included, lots of choices. They offered full breakfast and lots of healthy choices too. There were gluten free options and dairy free options too which was nice. They are going through renovations and I did ask ahead of time to be away from any work currently being done in other rooms , which they did accommodate. We were in room 705 , which was perfect for our needs. We had a nice view although the road can be a little noisy on a weekend night , if you’re a light sleeper . We were a few minutes walk from the harbour and also close to shops and restaurants. Would highly recommended taking the 31/2 hour tour of the fjords and the cruise ships were all within easy walking distance.

The hotel was nice. Breakfast offered a lot of choice. Location was excellent.

The room was hot and the air conditioning wasn't working. We therefore had to open the window and there was a lot of noise from loud cars/motor bikes long into the night, I appreciate this is not within the control of the hotel. The layout of our room wasn't great - the door to the bathroom was right next to the bed and to watch the TV you had to sit on the chairs which were not very comfortable.

The facilities were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fulfilling and varied. The best part was the location- perfect spot for exploring Bergen! And very convenient location for taking the tram to and from the airport.

We were not given the room we reserved the first night, which the hotel accommodated the following night. The transition was a bit delayed as we had to come back during the day to move, but this was a minor inconvenience compared to the otherwise excellent experience we had.
