We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location is very central and they have (paid) parking right in front. The size of the rooms is ok and they were able to provide connecting rooms for our family. The staff is very friendly, especially at the restaurant, and all the meals (breakfast, afternoon tea/cake, and dinner) are included in your stay. Dinner is somewhat limited, but breakfast options are great. This was also the only hotel during our 2-week trip in Norway that had decent blackout curtains (absolutely necessary in summer). Sauna and a rooftop hot tub are great too.

While we loved the hot tub, but couldn't understand why they have to use such a cumbersome online reservation system for it (you have to provide your home address, full name, telephone number, and credit card details to book a hot tub for 30 minutes). It's also a pity they feel the need to charge for it, although the amount is quite reasonable for Norwegian standars (+-6 eur per person). There's just one thing we didn't like and that's the 'view' from our rooms - you're basically looking at another building just nearby and a dirty alley with trash containers. So we kept the curtains closed. It was also quite noisy outside - mainly seagulls and some loud passers-by. Not something you can avoid in any of the hotels in the center, I'm afraid.

Very tasty breakfast, lots of variety. Afternoon coffee, good... with cakes, coffee and tea. Dinner was ok, when we managed to have dinner because of the tours we were doing. The location of the hotel is very good, right in the center. With many restaurants around, close to the tour departure.

We were there at 3 pm to check in, but our room wasn't ready yet. We had to wait for about 25 minutes. Most hotels nowadays check out at 11/12 am and check in at 3 pm, so it should be ready, but ok. After long trips you just want to get into your room.

The hotel was downtown close to everything. The breakfast was very good. The front desk lady with blonde hair was so helpful and made our stay wonderful. She was able to help us out with a booking problem on our end. The hotel ran smoothly when she was there. She worked Christmas Eve and Christmas day and was happy and cheerful. The kitchen staff was also very friendly and helpful. I like that you could get tea and coffee and water all day long.

There were a few small things like the evening meal where a hit or miss. The same bread at dinner every night. The bread was good I just would like maybe a few different types. We stayed ten days so that was probably the reason I got tired of it. 😁.

The food provided was very yummy and exceed our expectations. The hotel is super central and very close to pretty much everything and yet quite. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again and happily recommend it to friends and family.

Some light bulbs did not work but was quickly fixed by your cleaning staff by moving bed a little. But we did notice that staff do not clean properly behind nightstands/bed as rubbish and old pastry found when bed was moved. We would not have noticed this if the bulbs had worked properly from the beginning. Also, this is not a negative but it would be nice if the hotel would also offer hot chocolate with all the other free drinks

Hotel location was perfect. Staff where attentive, friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was very varied and plentiful. Evening meal was tasty, simple and again plentiful. Tea and coffee available in the reception at any time which was nice. Reception area had nice comfortable sofas and chairs and good for relaxing after a day out in the snow. Rooms where well appointed, comfortable beds. We asked for extra pillows. Roof top hot tub was an added bonus, easy to book at additional cost but well worth it at night to look over the harbour and aurora spotting. Would definitely return and recommend to others.

Location wise it was pretty good. Hotel rooms were of decent size, neat and clean. Service was good, staff well helpful. Surprisingly the hotel provided free dinner option too along complimentary breakfast as well as evening tea.

The taxi service didn't seem to work well from the reception using the automatic booking system, had to wait for a long time but ended up going on my own using public transport as there was quite a delay which was creating a bit of inconvenience as I getting late for my flight. The hotel need to improve this service or atleast provide drop in and pickup services if possible.

Fantastic location, our room had a view to the harbour. The beds were very comfortable and thick blankets, the rooms were warm and we slept great. Breakfast was a mixture of hot cooked foods like sausages/eggs/bacon and plentiful cold options. Fika was a great afternoon snack before tea time. There was only one option at tea but every time it was delicious. Free tea/coffee all day was perfect! Reception were very welcoming, lovely decor too.

The only thing was the poorly lit rooms. As we visited during the polar night I would have liked the option to light the room brighter at times.

Hotel is in a very good location. All the main tours we booked would meet at this location and there is a direct coach from airport to the hotel. The room was very cosy and warm with a standard tv. Shower was very good and powerful. There is a gym upstairs and an outdoor jacuzzi which is available upon booking for a cheap price and amazing views. The heating worked very well in the room.

A bit on the pricey side and breakfast could do with some variety e.g fish options and more drink options. Dinner was also very standard, needs more fish/vegetarian and dessert options.

This was our 3rd trip that included stays at this hotel and as usual, it was very good. Great room, food, staff, parking, facilties and 24hr support. We have stayed before and will stay again. In particular, we like the jacuzzi and the parking facilities, as well as breakfast and a free dinner.

Nothing in particular went wrong, so we have no complaints. It was a little surprise to find fees for the jacuzzi and fees for parking, which were previously free on our in trips in 2018 and 2020, BUT, we can understand the pandemic has made for changes in how hotels are run. With that in mind, to find bed and breakfast rates very comparable to our previous stays made up for the extra charges. To repeat, we would gladly stay again.

The hotel was just a short walk from the ferry terminal and town centre, bars, restaurants and tour departure points. (Just be careful of icy paths!) The room was comfortable and had efficient heating and a good bathroom. Staff were very friendly and there was a 24-hour desk. Meals (breakfast and dinner) were decent buffet-style. Afternoon tea was a bonus!

There was no kettle in the room. While tea and coffee were available downstairs, it would have been nice to have a hot drink late at night or first thing before leaving the room.
