This property has it all - our apartment had a fully equipped kitchen, great views of the city and surrounding hills from the (albeit small) balcony. You can step outside and walk through the beautiful gardens, then sit and have a coffee under the fig trees with the two resident parrots. The central location is just a short walk from the Plaza De Armas and Cusco Cathedral, and of course many restaurants and shops. Breakfast is provided in the room - a very generous bowl of fruit, plus eggs and bread. My daughter and I used the citrus juicer to make fresh juice, and then fried up eggs and bread with a little Jamon Serrano for "Casa La Recoleta Sandwiches" Each night after a long day of exploring Cusco (be prepared to be out of breath at 11.000 feet) Sarah and I would come back to our apartment and kindle a roaring blaze in the fire place - we went through at least a cord of wood during our three night stay - but down in the bottom of the garden is a huge store of dry wood under cover, so we kept ourselves well stocked up on fuel ! Mark Wiens has a clip on this hotel - he stayed in the same apartment as us - well worth a look. Highly recommend this - not just somewhere to stay, but an experience...

Do not be put off by the blue door in the narrow street as it opens into a beautiful garden with little apartments. There was milk, cheese, fresh eggs, fruit and bread and cereal so you can prepare your own food. The owner was kind and friendly and it’s a very short walk to the beautiful centre

Ok I was in lower floor and people above were quite heavy footed. The parrots squawk a lot but they look so lovely and are only out during the daytime

The hotel is very close to downtown. It is actually close to everything!!! We walked everywhere (downtown, shopping, church, restaurants, etc,). The lofts are very clean. It seems to be that it is an old building so the floors have that sounds that old wooden houses have. I just love how neat and clean they have everything! The staff is absolutely amazing. Extremely kind and helpful. I also love that they leave enough breakfast to be prepared by ourselves the next day. Eggs, bread, butter, all kinds of fruit, tea, coffee, jam and cheese. There are skillets, oil, sugar and butter. The kitchen is equipped enough to prepare any meal you want. I absolutely loved preparing my fried eggs and toast every morning. There was always enough fruit to munch on during the day. They came everyday to clean the kitchen, bathroom, and the whole apartment. Very nice and kind ladies. They change everything everyday. Absolutely clean!!! You can’t go wrong with this place. We were very happy with this place. We actually went to Machu Picchu and came back to this place. There are sooooooo many places where to eat nearby. And I mean, soooooo many choices!!! Excellent place! Thank you for helping us have a wonderful Saturday in Cusco.

It would be nice if this place had either a laundry service in house or a connection with a laundry place so that we could just give it to them and then, not worry about anything.

We loved it (again)! It was our second stay in the Casona. For us everything was perfect. We stayed for over two weeks with our 4 year old son. He could explore the garden and play safely everywhere. We especially like the spacious and fully equipped kitchen with daily fresh fruit, bread, eggs and cheese and the fireplace that helped us stay warm in the evening. Our whole apartment was very cozy, we truly felt at home. The staff is exceptionally kind and helps you with anything you need. Everything is clean, well kept and works (there is hot water 24/7). I hope we can go back soon!

The location was quiet and close to so much that you want to see. It was perfect for 3 of us. (Couple and a solo traveler.) It felt like a small apartment. I loved having a fireplace and if you need wood, just ask. They brought our breakfast items the night before- which I liked. There was no toaster but we used the panini type thing to heat our bread in the mornings. Two bathrooms was nice to have as well. They gave us fresh towels daily. I don't even have that at home!

No fault of the hotel but the street you walk down to get to the property for a block or so is super narrow. The sidewalk is as well. Toddlers or small kids- hold on to them! Once you get used to it, it's fine. The area is worth it!

The property is beautiful! It’s like grandma’s old house… inviting and welcoming. The kitchen has everything you need to cook the breakfast they leave the day before for you to cook. They leave delicious fruit (papaya, mango, orange, apple, etc). It varies. They always leave oranges. There is a Manual juicer to have your perfect orange juice anytime you want. There is coffee and, of course, coca leaves for your tea. They also leave eggs, cheese, and jam. The cleaning ladies will clean your kitchen every morning and the whole loft. This being said, the loft is super clean. The staff is incredibly helpful and I can really say my stay here was wonderful. Casona La Recoleta is very close to Plaza de Armas. We walked everywhere. And all the tours picked us up at the hotel. Cusco is a beautiful town, bigger than I thought! There is soooo much to do here. I would definitely stay at this place if I went back to Cusco. We actually stay here for 6 days, went to Aguas Calientes for a couple of days, and came back to Casona La Recoleta for two more days. We were very pleased with everything. Thank you to all the staff who made us feel like home!

The property was beautiful. You walk thru a garden to get to your room. The room we had was upstairs and it had a small kitchenette. They did not cook breakfast but provided all necessary breakfast items to prepare breakfast yourself. There were eggs, coffee, teas, milk , yogurt, fruit, bread. There were utensils and condiments to use for cooking. The room was bright and comfortable. There was a small dining area ,a refrigerator and microwave.

I liked everything except the street it is on is a little challenging but this is in no way the property’s fault. The property is on a small cobblestone street and the sidewalks are very narrow. When a car passes by you sometimes have to stand sideways on this sidewalk. There were many cars passing this street but all rooms are in the back so you don’t hear any traffic noise.

I liked all about it. The manager Nuria is welcoming and professional. She gave us all information we needed. Her staff is wonderful as well. We enjoyed Agustin he came to put the fireplace every night and was a breeze of fresh air to us. The location perfect, bed so comfortable and great hot shower. Breadkfast was superb and we can do it ourselves which was a plus with these tours that are so early. Beautiful kept graden with the parrot and the white cat 🐈… lovely!!!

Everything was excellent experience

I loved everything about this gorgeous apartment. My son stayed in the upstairs loft area with own bathroom and I had a decent sized double room downstairs with a bathroom. The balcony gave us views over a beautiful garden area as well as stunning views over Cusco, sunrise, and lit up at night. The front provided access to another garden where one morning I observed a cute little Colibrie (humming bird). Each morning we were provided with food to make our own continental breakfast. Heating was good. Staff were kind and helpful when needed. Easy walking distance to Plaza de Armas, shops and restaurants galore. Highly recommend.

Absolutely nothing not to like. Wish we could have stayed a week!
