Location to everything and slightly quieter than the main centre was a huge benefit for sleep! Clean, hot water always available, comfy beds, Coca tea and other options always available. Stored bags whilst hiking and made breakfast bags for early starts. Helpful staff who could speak English. 24/7 reception. Loved small shops and restaurants in front so first day or two was easy adjusting to altitude. Good location for Cusco ruins and other sights.

Just be aware. Cusco is a vibrant but noisy city. Illa is in San blas so quieter than most but you still get woken by the city. The main centre is 150 yards away down a cobbled road slope/ steps. It’s not long and it’s really not that hard but expect to stop to catch your breath on the way back. Shops are great on the slope to help break this walk.

The hotel itself was very quaint and very nice. The young gentlemen at the front desk in the evening was extremely friendly, accommodating and made us feel very welcomed! This hotel is located in a perfect spot, the San Blas district. Close enough to the Centro Historico district, but far enough to avoid the crowds. The breakfast spread was great, it had all the essentials. Yogurt, coffee, breads, cheeses, etc. They would also make you an egg dish as well. The staff at breakfast was courteous and friendly. Very enjoyable. The bed was nice, the bathrooms were clean and the Peruvian Telenovela "Ana Cristina" is now my favorite haha! I would recommend this hotel.

This was my second time at hotel Illa. First I stayed couple of nights and then visited Machu Picchu, and then cane back for another week. The hotel was in safe area. There were nice restaurants nearby and many the sights were within walking distance. The hotel was quiet and my room was very clean and warm (there was heating in the room). The staff were very friendly, helpful and whenever I met them, they had a smile on their face. They let me leave my backpack at the hotel while I was visiting Machu Picchu and they gave me my old room back when I came back. I sppreciated yhis kindness a lot. I really enjoyed my stay at hotel Illa. If I come back to Cusco again, I will choose Illa again. Tupananchis cama.

Location was excellent. Close to the centre of Cusco but in a quieter area. Room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast didn’t cater fully for vegans but it was ok. I had avocado kindly prepared by the sweet waitress when she realised I couldn’t eat the platter they offered. There were breads and delicious homemade jams and cereal. Unfortunately no plant based milk but i used hot water to make a quinoa porridge and it was fine. I completely forgot about the checkout time but it wasn’t a problem and the member of staff Maria Luisa allowed me to take a quick shower and arranged a taxi to the airport for me. I was so grateful for that. (Thank you Maria!). I look forward to staying there again when i return to Cusco

the courtyard was a little noisy for a few hours outside my room in the afternoon which was very close to reception

First of let me tell you this is the most charming place to stay in Cusco, Peru I have ever stayed in and staff was super friendly and helpful! Rooms are cozy, spacious and clean! Tea station is always clean and refilled, and they helped us with our languages after check out to store for half a day which was very kind of them! The little courtyard is welcoming and the young gentleman who greeted us upon our arrival is just exceptional! It is in the center of the historic district so you will find the best part of town in walking distance and the street it’s located on is very peaceful filled with coffee shops and restaurants. I can’t wait to go back! Thank you Illa Hotel team for making us feel home!❤️

Great location, comfortable rooms, and great customer service. Everything was very clean and the staff were very helpful. One of the best parts of the hotel is the breakfast area! It is a beautiful and clean area on the second floor with very diverse and tasty food and drink options for breakfast!

The common areas outside of the rooms could have been a bit more comfy/inviting. There were no great places to be outside of your room, except for the breakfast room that was amazing! There is an outdoor seating area in the first patio when you walk in, but it is too cold to be out there at night.

Nice hotel in the heart of San Blas in Cusco. Breakfast was good, room was big and with all the amenities. Big up for the staff, they are simply incredible! Ask for Aaron cause he is so so great! He has arranged for us a lot of things (airport pick-up, rainbow mountain private tour...)

In general everything was above the expectations! The only thing is the bathroom which had a bit of mold. Another thing to consider is there is no heating but just a small electric heating which could be not enough if you suffer a lot the cold

Great location and room size, huge and comfortable bed. Silent room. Great towels and cleaning. The shower was good, but some days at night the water wasn't that hot. The portable heater was great and very useful because it was so cold when we stayed in Cusco. The staff was super helpful and friendly. The hotel is very well decorated and pleasant. The room was big and cozy.

I suggest adapting the power outlets which are located behind the bedside tables, making it difficult to reach. The water in the shower was great and hot most of the time, but some nights it didn't heat as much, especially after 6 pm, which is a little disappointing since the city is very cold especially at night. We've noticed this is quite common in Cusco though, for some reason. Maybe the boilers aren't big enough. But overall the stay was great.

It is priced very fairly. The building is absolutely beautiful. The staff is nice. The neighborhood is amazing. Great location!

I know the price is low because tourism is recovering, but I would not pay more to stay here. I had a huge spider on my bed when I woke up the first day. They helped me get rid of it but did not discount the stay. The bathroom does have ants as another post suggests. There was no coffee one day I arrived at 9:30 am for breakfast and their coffee pot takes 4 hours they said. I only drink coffee for breakfast, so this was a disappointment. Hot water does not get super hot. There is no fridge in the room. The heater takes a while to heat up. Bring plugs that go into the wall 2 prongs if you have 3 prong electronics. They do not have adapters.

The hotel is in a great location—close to the bustling areas but still quiet. Both the room and bathroom are spacious, and the hot water is reliably hot. There’s also free coca tea available in the hallway for guests to help themselves at any time. The breakfast has plenty of delicious options. The staff and customer service are incredibly friendly, helpful, and provide excellent service.
