The room was very cozy and I loved that I could see and hear the river from it. The owners were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was big and excellent. It's a convenient location at the start of town when coming from Machu Picchu and close to the bus stop for Machu Picchu, but one of the further ones in town from the train station (still not very far though).
I didn't like that the window in my room facing the hallway didn't lock very tightly. If someone wanted to, they could easily slide it open from the outside. Knowing this, I just didn't leave any valuables in my room. But the hotel felt safe. Another small thing is that I asked my hotel to help me find out if any more Machu Picchu tickets were available for the next day. They told me no. But surprisingly, I was able to buy one from the Ministry of Culture in town later that day. Yes, the online ones were sold out, but I'm surprised that the hotel owners weren't aware or able to tell me I could buy one in town. Luckily I found out this information on my own and was still able to visit Machu Picchu a second time like I wanted to.

We enjoyed the Excellent Personal service Sacred Stone provided during our stay to see to our needs. Picking us up at the Rail station. Holding our bags while we hiked Machu Picchu. Walking us personally to restaurants in area that had dishes we requested. Showing us where to catch the Bus to Machu Picchu in morning. Lovely breakfast. Friendly warm environment. Beautiful spot near river. Spanish and English speaking Staff. I would recommend The Sacred Stone Hotel to anyone who was coming to Machu Picchu area to stay.
nothing comes to mind. If you look hard enough you can find fault with anything. But this hotel was just lovely. And they truly tried to provide for our needs.

Nights we stayed in an inside courtyard facing room were most excellent! Big room, nice furnishings, awesome tv for Netflix’ing at night after amazing daze of hiking and exploring. The staff is off the chart courteous, friendly, always making sure we were enjoying Cuzco - Would definitely stay here again !
Stayed on the street side, first nights - odors, small room for 3 beds, bathroom rained water from the condensation - Probably just room 203 issues.

The location is great, can hear the river and a low rumble of the train when it passes by. Walkable to everywhere you need to go in town, restaurants at your doorstep. Walk to the train, the bus, Machi Picchu, and more.
Reception did not speak English. The rooms are 3 walls and 4th wall is a big window to the hallway. The lights in the hallway were on all the time. Some rooms are 5 floors up. Take your time.

The staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful! They provided us with bagged breakfast since we wanted to line up for the bus to Machu Picchu before the buffet began. They also allowed us to return to our room after hiking back from Machu Picchu to freshen up before our train to Cusco. Plus it was a short 3-minute walk to the bus line up!
The room was a bit small, but had everything we needed in it. The hair dryer also didn’t seem to work.

The hotel was in a perfect location, next to the railway with a direct river view and only a 2 minute walk to the bus stop for catching the buses up to Machu Picchu. The owner (Rosa) is a machine, nothing is too much trouble, we even saw here checking the lines in the morning for a quest to let them know when to enter the queue for tickets in the main square and she personally walked us to the bus ticket office, couldn't recommend the Sacred Stone enough.
Be aware there are a lot of Mosquitos in Aguas Calientes so bring long sleeved tops and bottoms, being warmer than Cusco and with a river running through the village they are everywhere! Nothing to do with the hotel, more of a general tip for going to this area including Machu Picchu.

Great location, a short walk away from the train station and Machu Picchu buses. Staff was super nice! William was very friendly, spoke good English, and helped us find an awesome tour guide for Machu Picchu.
The were a few mosquitoes in our room but I think this is fairly common for Machu Picchu.

The hotel is under new management since COVID and had just reopened about 3 months before our visit. The operation was bare-bones but the host was incredibly accommodating and super nice. We received a free upgrade for our room, the breakfast was solid, and the room was very comfortable. We were located on the 5th floor with a beautiful view of the river. The sound of the river put us to sleep comfortably each night.
No complaints. As it is still a new operation, there will be more staff in the future as they work on getting the restaurant up and running. There were still delicious craft beers for sale though!

The rooms were fantastic and breakfast was delicious. Communication was first class and Jhoan organised our trip to Machu Picchu. Everything was first class from meeting us at our hotel in Cusco, to greeting us on our return and organising a taxi back to our hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and I can't thank him enough for his excellent service.

Location was great for getting around on foot. Loved the sound of the river nearby. Staff was warm. welcoming and genuine.
That this site does not adjust for Canadian dollars and it is always a surprise upon arrival that it is not the price I booked at and that the dollar slides according to the date of arrival not the date booked.
