A very pleasant stay in an upmarket hotel. Good facilities, great food and wonderful staff. We done Michael for dealing with the room issue!

The posting on booking.com app does not make it clear that the basic rooms are internal and do not have a window. The photos give the appearance of the room having a window this is clearly misrepresentation. Fortunatley the hotel resolved this issue to our satisfaction

We were a bit reluctant of booking a hotel in station 3 but we are very glad we did it. At the time of the year we went there is a lot of algae in the sea except in front of our hotel. The location is great, near shops and restaurants but it’s not noisy. The staff at the hotel is very welcoming and friendly and knew our names ever time. They greeted us every time we passed by and were always with a smile on their faces. We could borrow some beach toys for the kids and we had so much fun there.

Everything was perfect

Astoria Current has so far been the best resort we have stayed in. The service was exemplary, over and above what was expected and at a very fair price. We strongly recommend paying for the VIP transferring from the airport to the resort. Astoria bus from airport to port, bypassed the long process of checking in line of the long queue at security, then straight onto a speed boat that took 3 minutes to the island then Astoria bus to the resort. It was seamless and completely stress free. Once at the resort, the staff were all so professional and friendly and would jump at any chance to help. We even got a phone call every couple of days to ask us if we needed anything and to see if we were ok. We also decided to take advantage of their massage service. And we were so pleased we did! Swedish massage on the first day and as it was so good, the hot stone massage on the last day. Our bodies were very happy with us. Their clear goal was to make their customers stay as stress free as much as possible. This was very much achieved. Would most definitely recommend Astoria to anyone that would listen.

Perhaps the curtains could be thicker to block out the light. We were in a corridor where the lights stay on all night. Sometimes it was hard to sleep because my brain thought it was still day time :)

We love the location not so busy area and just in-front of the beach. The breakfast is good too but it’s a bit the same everyday. The pool is perfect.

The main concern for us is the bathroom it’s a bit of a work to go in and out of the shower because it’s attached to the bathtub with thin glass wall and it’s a bit slippery and stiff. As a small pregnant women with two little children I find it dangerous as I almost hurt myself when I try to get out of the shower I slipped my foot on the floor and hit my side on the thin glass wall. My children are always struggling and looked awkward every time they go in and out of the shower. I’m glad nothing really happens so I just don’t complain. Me and my children just have to do extra careful every time we go shower.

My wife Michelle and I love everything about this hotel. While I’m writing this review, we’re still staying and having a wonderful time here at Astoria Current and celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary here. The room that was assigned to us had a problem with the aircon and we had to wait for them to fix it since it can’t be fixed, Michael the reception officer ( excellent customer service) upgraded our room and the room was great. All the staff were so attentive, helpful and very friendly. I’ve been to different hotels in the Philippines, Thailand and in Italy but the customer service here in Astoria Current is outstanding (5/5). The food is great, the pool is so amazing. Special thanks to Michael (reception area who is super amazing and wonderful ) he made our stay so special, all the waiting staff especially Alvin and Joshua(the most amazing staff in the restaurant), Ericka, Kevin,Jshua and Raymart (restaurant staff who are truly helpful) and most especially the band ( entertainment) of the hotel who sang our wedding song and made our wedding anniversary so memorable and special. My special thanks to Riza (an amazing massage therapist) of the Astoria Current Spa who always helped me feel relaxed and revitalized after every massage. All of the staff made it possible for us to have an amazing and memorable experience here in Boracay. We truly appreciate all the kindness. The room was large with a big bathroom. floor to ceiling sliding window looking down onto the pool. Breakfast was included, which was a buffet, we enjoyed it very much. Lots of different choices. Location was amazing. Step right onto the beach.

Unfortunately our room had a musty smell. Once we turned off the a/c and humidifier and opened the sliding door and entrance door it was much better. We asked for a plug in fan and that's all we used instead of a/c! Took the smell away. Our room only had a Juliette balcony, which was fine. Beware there are rooms that have no window at all only an entrance door! The staff line up and greet you when you come and go from the lobby, which we found tiring, and I think the staff were bored doing this all day. Not necessary.

Overall the experiences are great! For the breakfast, it has a combination of the essential western cooked options, and the local cuisine which make it more unique; as a gym goer, I'd prefer the gym to have wipes, please improve this; the room is very comfortable, but I think the hotel can improve the bathtub setting, the water isn't hot enough to have a bath, mainly cold and slightly warm water. The hotel staff are friendly and respectful.

Very very nice hotel. I booked last minute but it was super good decision. It is actually very big complex; with a lot of rooms; swimingpools; a lot of other facilities such as massage, bar, restaurants, private transfer, doctor on call etc. Staff is super nice; always helpful. There is a lot of options for breakfast. Rooms are ok; clean; maybe bed could be little bit bigger. I didn’t have windows in room; so next time I will book room by pool with windows. Close to hotel is supermarket. 1min walk. And on the other side is famous White Beach. If you choose this hotel you will not be disappointed.

Beachfront on white beach with amazing sunsets. Scrumptious buffet breakfast with good variety. Large pool in the shade. Easy transfer arrangement through hotel. Great restaurant.

Guests have to use the space in front of pool access rooms at the bottom as a walkway to the beach and restaurant, which means that the room curtains at the slider door have to be drawn at all times as there is otherwise no privacy. There is also a lot of noise of shouting children playing in the pool right in front of those unit's door. Next time, I would rather book the upper rooms for more of privacy.

location, beds, everything was fantastic, great location, breakfast very good, excellent wifi, nice TV with Samsung TV and local channels

separate washing basin, bathroom too small, lack of beach sun loungers, the bathroom was the only minus, too small, breakfast area was very busy and too small for the number of guests, hotel has available overflow first floor dining area which wasn't always open to the guests which is a shame
