Room was spotless and facilities were like new. My kitchen even included a washing machine. Pool area was nicely maintained and secure with a full time attendant. There was no race for sun beds and never more than 75% were occupied. The immediate location included 3 bars two snack bars and 3 restaurants. A 15 minute walk gets you either to the centre of Alvor or the beach.

Nothing in particular but be aware that while the hotel does supply a mattress for the sun beds they dont supply towels so either take your own, don’t bother and lie on the mattress or buy one at the souvenir shop when you arrive.

Great place to stay with family. Apartment very spacious, small Tv with English channels, Wi-Fi, air con in one room and shower/bath. Pool perfect size and not too busy in the mornings which was good for us. A short walk to the main strip and supermarket, however plenty of places to eat and drink right in the complex. Would definitely stay again and recommend to any family wanting everything they need at their doorstep.

We went at a time that was very warm and could’ve done with aircon in the bedroom also. We had a fan that helped but there was a clear difference in the room temperatures.

This is my second time staying at Dunas de Alvor, the first time the apartment was situated at a good place with balcony facing the street, this time I did not like where the apartment was situated as it was right next to the back of a café/bar and it was very noisy sometimes up to 4 am. Because we are not able to choose the apartment or add requirements when booking I’ll have to think ver carefully if I’ll book it again which is a shame as everything else is very good.

Quite spacious apartment, very clean. It was equipped with everything what we needed during our stay - the only thing missing (which could be a nice add-on) is a washing machine. The apartment building has an underground parking which we could use (fantastic option when it's really hot outside! But note that it is a bit narrow, so it's not easy to use it). Nevertheless, there is also a possibility to park on the street. Swimming pool was absolutely great! We really liked the staff there - they were helpful and really nice in the approach. A lady in the reception was kind and helpful as well. Location of the apartment is nice as well - there is a big market around 200 meters from there, and you can buy there everything needed during your stay. Few restaurants and bars are there as well, with quite nice food (they generate some noise in the evening, but it was not a problem for us). 10-15 walk and you are in the centre of Alvor - full of other restaurants and bars. We really liked the stay in this place 🙂

Difficult to find anything.

We loved staying in our bright sunny 2 bed aparment located on the second floor overlooking the courtyard. Our apartment had modern fresh furniture, and kitchenette with washing machine, microwave and cooker hob. The shower despite being older was a lovely shower, with a great jet. We worked from our room for some of our visit and the wifi was great, we could also access wifi by the community swimming pool (I would say is the nicest in Alvor). The pool was lovely and clean/great for swimming lengths as it was so large. Was well managed and maintained with staff members who would bring your sun bed mat and umbrella. Check you have access to the pool (accessible only by a pass key code). This caused some anguish for guests who did not have sunbed/pool access but expected they would.

It would have been brilliant if we also had a cooker (only hob and microwave option). The balcony table was practical, but given the standard of furniture in the room it would have been nicer to have a quality balcony table. These are minor suggestions, overall we loved our stay.

We originally booked the same two bed apartment (222) here for 8 days. We loved the apartment, the modern decor and furniture and our sunny second floor location with balcony overlooking the courtyard, plus only a 5-10 minute walk to the beach it was perfectly located in Alvor. We had our self-catering room serviced a couple of times, so that was great. Because we love Alvor we left another location (Olhoa earlier) to return to our same 222 room. Being out of season slightly, it was fortunate we could return to our same room (with our dog) for a further 5 days (we extended our 3 days). The community swimming pool is so well looked after/managed, it's one of the best in the area and so big. We loved our stay here. Despite the shower having older shower curtain style and basic shower, it was a brilliant hot shower we couldn't fault.

The reason for not giving this property a 10, it would be ideal if a cooker was included. Only had cooker hob and microwave. It would also be helpful to include for guests a few washing machine tabs for the washing machine included. No body wants to buy a big supermarket pack, so for white good appliance, please include a few tabs next for other guests ano time especially if it's included within the fee we paid for our stay. Plus add a few bin bags. Despite these small requests, we would still highly recommend this self-catering property/experience/location.

Location location location, the pool, the charity shop, launderette and the staff in the cactos bar! If you're travelling with someone who has mobility issues this is the place to stay! There is a lift to each floor which is perfect because I was with my elderly mother who isn't that able for stairs anymore... I would recommend upgrading your room, it's bigger, the view I found is better! It's near the intermarche, the chemist and the bus stop and you don't have to climb one hill! Who doesn't love a charity shop?? You really could just stay in the complex without having to go anywhere... the no 51 Vamus bus goes from Lagos bus terminal to the Albufeira bus terminal fyi

The pull out bed is put in a very random place in the apartment... You have to bring your own rubbish out. Lumpy pillows but I'm being very fussy!!!!!

Everything about here is brilliant. The staff are extremely friendly. The apartment was spotless and the upkeep of the pool area daily was brilliant. Staff at the pool were so eager to please, were extremely nice and so helpful. Bars and eating facilities are also excellent. Everything is so reasonably priced. Location is perfect.

Bed a little hard. But we got used to it.

Facilities were excellent as was check in. We had a problem with the air conditioning unit which meant we had to change appartment. This was no trouble. However, the new appartment was near a local bar and was noisy till 12. Both apartments were very clean, serviced every few days and I would reccomend to anyone. We would stay there again.

Our 4th stay at these apartments, they are large and clean but could do with a little updating. Nothing wrong with the apartment but the decor is the same from when we first came when our children were small. It’s clean and functional, has everything you could want, large fridge with freezer, washing machine, etc. lounge area could be slightly more comfortable. Nice balcony, however can be noisy at night if revellers are having a boisterous night, we had a couple of very noisy evenings and also the bin men come to empty the large bins at 11pm, not ideal for anyone with young children who are light sleepers! Fantastic pool, spotlessly clean, the 2 lifeguards are fantastic especially Santos, such a lovely friendly guy. Perfect location, 5 mins to the stunning beach, and 5 mins walk and you are in the centre of the town full of amazing restaurants.

Quite noisy at night but not every night, I can imagine it would be worse in the height of summer. No air con in the rooms so they can get hot, a large fan is supplied which we move into the bedroom at night if necessary.
