Veneza Hotel is conveniently located just three minutes easy walk from both the coach and railway stations. Ideal if arriving from Porto, Coimbra or Lisbon. The hotel is situated in a fairly quiet street but with easy access to a variety of cafes, bars and shops. Hotel Veneza is very clean and our room was comfortable and quite spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were happy last time we stayed here and glad that we picked Hotel Veneza again.

Not a criticism but to be aware. The main tourist sites are about a fifteen minute walk away.

The room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was nice and large. We liked the view from our room and that there was a fridge. Overall we were pretty satisfied.

Initially when we went to check in, I mentioned we were liaising with a staff member prior to arriving, so we could ensure to have a parking space overnight. The staff members were immediately hostile and kept saying we couldn't park downstairs, all of this before we were even able to say what our name was on the reservation. They were very abrupt for about 5 minutes and when we were finally able to say our name on the accommodation, they deeply apologized and confirmed that there was a reserved space for parking for us. It was very surprising and we were considering in that moment, to cancel our accommodation and stay elsewhere. I would just suggest for next time, to ask for the name on the reservation, before jumping down someone's throat.

The location was great with a five minute walk from the train station and about 15 to the canal area. The hotel was comfortable and clean, but a little dated. The beds were cozy and there was a mini fridge (always appreciated), lots of hangers and good a/c. The shower was decent with shower gel/shampoo and soap. The staff was friendly and spoke English. They stored our luggage for a few hours after checkout.

The only outlets were three on a small charging strip. Two lights in the bedroom were not working so it was a bit dark. The wi-fi was not very good.

Great location, not in the heart of the city where the channels and bridges, in purpose we wanted a little far from the tourism spots, but it was a great choice, fair price, easy to park the car and the hotel offered very comfortable facilities, nice and clean room. Very decent price and nice service from the reception guys, they recommended a very great option for dinner (Salpoente), which is highly recommended.! We were surprised by the fire in the region, and the hotel was very well equipped to stay inside with safety and great service.

The hotel is charming, the staff helpful and the room was very clean and fresh and also quite plain. It is close to the train station and there is a cafe and a laundromat directly across the street which was very helpful to us.

The breakfast was adequate but offered canned fruit rather than fresh and just basic sliced cheese rather than the better cheeses and fresh fruit that we have enjoyed at comparable hotels elsewhere. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant hotel and a lovely stay.

Overall nice stay at an older hotel. Staff was pleasant and allowed us to check in a few hours early since our room was ready!🙂 Very close (only 4 minutes from the train station) so was super convenient! The walk into town isn’t too long, an easy 15-minute stroll down the Main Street.

The hotel facilities are older though the room was very clean with good air conditioning. Breakfast was a bit pricey so we didn’t try it. There aren’t too many restaurants or shops close by so you have to head into town for more selection.

The hotel was very helpful in finding rooms for the children near ours. When we extended their stay one night they were also helpful to find an alternative room. Great to be greeted with a welcome drink - a glass of port. Providing glasses to celebrate family event last night was excellent.

Not much at all- i like the hotel- perhaps the matress was a bit hard- but i cant remember well. Sup’ose it was all fine. I am used to coffee and tea in the room - and bottled water, so that was a minus for me.

Such a beautiful hotel on a beautiful city. Felt like we traveled back in time, but kept all the comfort. Our room was simply exquisite, I wish I have had a chance to sit at the balcony to drink some whine. Oh, I have to coment on the art. the watercolor landscapes all over the walls made walk the entire hotel just to admire them.

Parking in the garage is quite an adventure if you're used to US style parking spaces. You might be better off with street parking than playing tetris in the hotel's garage.

The hotel is lovely, comfortable, spotlessly clean with a kind and helpful staff. Very comfortable beds. The wifi was good. The air-conditioning worked well. There is an outdoor dining area and it's open for all guests, we ate a picnic lunch next to the little pond. The hotel is located just an easy 5-minute walk from the train station and it's an easy walk to all of the area attractions. We would definitely stay again.

The rooster. There is a rooster that lives somewhere near the hotel, and from our room, 209, we could hear the rooster crowing at 4:00 a.m. and every hour after each morning. This is not the fault of the hotel, but next time we will ask for a room in the front of the property.

The hotel is conveniently located, close enough to walk to main attractions, restaurants & shops but also not too busy/noisy. It offers paid underground parking (a reasonable €8 per day), & there is also street parking across the hotel (free on weekends). Room size is comfortable & hotel decor is nice. Staff service is good - Maria was very helpful in giving directions & recommendations on attractions & restaurants.

There was no complimentary drinking/bottled water. There was also no kettle or complimentary coffee/tea provided. We had to buy bottled water from the bar downstairs.
