Excellent location, right in the middle of Lisbon's historic district of Baixa. Amicable staff who let me leave my bags at the property much earlier than the official check-in time—something I was worried about as there was no information regarding this issue here on Booking. The room felt very modern, and the common area of the guesthouse was well-equipped.

The room was quite small, indeed, but this isn't really a problem if you are traveling only with a carry-on. The shared bathrooms also get nasty quickly, especially if you don't shower early in the morning. Yet, the daily housekeeping made sure these were regularly cleaned, so I can't complain much.

Excellent location, very close to the attractions of the historical Lisbon as well as close to the underground station. Place is very tidy, our room was cleaned every day, as was the common area. Friendly staff, convenient check in and check out. A nice room, comfy bed, a well furnished common kitchen. And the building itself is a very beautiful historic tenement house with the interesting decor. Overall, I'd say it was an excellent price/value rate and I'd come back gladly.

Room was rather small but still large enough for a comfortable week stay. TBH, there's nothing to complain about unless you are a very demanding customer. Oh, there are the stairs and no elevator, mind you - but it's all in the Guesthouse description, so no surprise and no complaint here!

I was on the third floor. There were quite a lot of stairs to the apartment but I did not mind this and I was made aware of this before I booked the room. This property is in a fantastic location and exceptional value for money. The apartment was cleaned every day and the bathroom was always spotlessly clean. The shower had hot water regardless of what time I used it and I rarely had to wait to use the shared bathroom. The kitchen area was easy to use and well stocked with utensils. I would definitely come back to Baixa Guesthouse.

I would have liked a little more storage in my room as I could not unpack all of my clothes but this was a minor issue. The apartment could be noisy, especially when people were leaving for early flights in the morning. I would suggest taking ear plugs.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience. Although the room was small, it was modern and efficiently designed with an air conditioner, bed, mirror, table, and chair, the window-balcony was offering the view to the street which I liked. The highlight was definitely the comfortable bed and pillow, ensuring a good night's sleep. The shared kitchen was well-equipped and convenient for preparing meals, and the three shower rooms with toilets were clean and easily accessible. The location is superb, being close to the city center and main landmarks, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. Overall, a great choice for both comfort and convenience.

The plumbing was overused and some parts were broken

I don't understand the grossly negative comments. I rented a private small room in one of the apartments on the lower floor. It was super clean. With new ikea equipment. The staff there were nice. Obviously louder than other types of accommodation because many rooms , and thiny walls , but anyone looking for this type of place should know. Gift of coffee tea. Clean towels every day. On sale they were €31 and €37. It's well worth it. Communication was also fast.

The bathrooms should be renovated.

Right in the city centre next to everything like the famous arc of augusta! 5 min walk from metro that we got from airport. Lots of restaurants and supermarket nearby! Communal areas very clean and modern and it’s quiet for it being in the city centre! I liked the fact it was an online reception but some maps in the communal areas would be appreciated!

We didn’t mind this but if you are unable to walk stairs then ask for first floor as there are no lifts and we were on third floor which in reality is like a fifth floor. The water pressure in shower was quite low and the toilet smelled of sewage first thing in the morning but staff were kind enough to provide with air fresheners!

Great central location in Lisbon! Perfect for a few days in the city as you can reach most main places on foot. Lots of great restaurants nearby. The room was modern with good air conditioning and the check in process was easy. Hosts were extremely responsive and answered all our questions quickly. Bed and linen were very nice and comfortable.

The door to the apartment doesn’t block out much noise from the corridor which can get a bit noisy as people come and go but it wasn’t that bad and earplugs block this out. Definitely worth the visit still.

The location is perfect. The bed was comfortable. Most of the things are from walking distance. Staff is really friendly and you have a free cup of tea in the morning. The breakfast places are opened from 8am.

The shower was tricky. It’s was hard to manage the perfect water temperature. It’s easily turned warm to hot. Sometimes my skin got a bit burned. But a part of this everything was all right. I recommend this place to everyone.

The location of the place is amazing 10/10 ! The room was clean.

Tiny and small room. I lived on the 3 floor a room with individual bathroom. I didn't sow this room in the pictures. In the pictures was a room with a table and chairs. In reality just a bed, and no space at all.The cleaning lady is coming at 7 am and making a lot of noise. In bathroom was just soap. But on the web site was writen about free cosmetics. No shampoo! No shower gel! People was writing that you can use a washing mashine, it is not true because the cleaning Lady was washing all the time something and she lived overnight in the mashine loundry.The bad is awful making a lot of noise that bothers your sleep. No worth of money.

I just spent one night in this guest house, and it was better than I expected (after reading all the reviews). Remote check-in worked well for me: all codes worked ok. Direction on how to access the right floor and the right apartment (for example, give the apartment number instead of just saying “to the left”) could have been a bit clearer, but it wasn’t an issue. My room was small and basic but quiet. The window was new, and when closed, blocked off the noise well. It’s important to note that there are indeed no AC or fans, so when it gets hot, it could be an issue. The place was clean. Common area had tea and coffee. The bed was ok. Overall, a very decent basic place to stay; good value for money.
