Excellent hotel, very clean, very good breakfast and in a great location for visiting Lisbon (just a few minutes walk from the center), the staff is very professional and ready to help you with everything you need to know about Lisbon and its surroundings. When we return to Lisbon we will definitely book this hotel.

Wonderful and interesting hotel with helpful and kind staff. Clean rooms decorated in a really special style to honour the past of the building that once was a cabaret...there is a lot of history to read between the lines. Stylish and different, with comfortable beds and pillows, spotless housekeeping and a lovely little enclosed garden terrace to hang around and have a drink. The breakfast was very nice with a good choice of cooked food, cold cuts, cheese, fruit and pastries. The location is perfect for exploring the city, near all the major sights, walking distance from Bairro Alto and other places of interest, while situated in a quiet street, so you get a decent night's sleep. Very friendly and proffessional reception staff as well as the breakfast room staff. I really enjoyed staying in Maxime hotel and would love to return.

Hotel is located just next to the avenue, 3 minutes walk to metro station (blue line) and 10-15 minutes walk to Rossio. Very friendly and professional staff at the counter made check-in very smooth. We booked Burlesque room, it is very spacious and bright since it has 3 big windows looking at the park across the street. Bed was very comfortable and we had really good sleep on it. Bathroom is connected to the room and it has everything. Hairdryer is really strong. Nice touch is bluetooth speaker in the room to which you can connect and listen to music or radio. Breakfast is standard buffet, there are a lot of different options to choose.

When I booked the room at Maxime Hotel I had expected, from the reviews, to find a smaller room. But I was pleasantly surprised by the actual size of the room. Now the best part about this hotel is the staff whose moto seems to be: ask and you'll get it. The cleaning lady is a lovely person who's very attentionate. Breakfast is delicious and copious. In short my husband and I were very satisfied with our stay. I would definitely return to the hotel if I went back to Lisbon.

Practically nothing except maybe the fact that waitresses hurry up at breakfast to remove your plate without taking the time to ask if you've finished

The hotel is in a perfect location. One street back from Avenida de Liberdade so it is close to the vibe but it is quiet. At night you can sleep well and it is sound proof. Very good value for money. A lovely breakfast. Very professional and competent staff. Comfortable beds.

It would be nice to have some shelves in the room to place clothes. Only hanging space was available. There was only a Nespresso machine and no kettle or tea making facilities in the room. Breakfast starts at 8:00am, which is not ideal if you are there on business, which one of us was for 2 days. 7:00am would be much better.

We visited for the weekend to celebrate the 75th birthday of Maxime Cabaret and the hotel. The celebration dinner and show were absolutely exceptional. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, with remarkable attention to detail at every turn. The Maxime Cabaret Birthday celebration was the highlight of our stay in Lisbon. We highly recommend the hotel not only for its incredible shows but also for its outstanding breakfast and fantastic location. I’d like to particularly commend the reception team. The ladies at reception were more than accommodating—informative, polite, and always willing to assist. Their efforts truly made our stay unforgettable. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, and happy birthday, Maxime!

The shower was a bit run down.

Very nice place with super facilities. The theme of the entire hotel is interesting and maintained throughout the facilities, commodities; this is an interesting plus! Superb location, very nice staff and clean, perfect size room. We recommend checking out the cabaret dates during your stay and book one if possible! It was very-very entertaining and a pleasant way to spend an evening fine dining while watching/participating a quite interactive show.

The breakfast could've been slightly more various, even though it was enough; an extra step is always nicely received! The room service could be a little more careful; we got a knock-and-open situation on two separate mornings. Not the most pleasant but of course not the biggest issue either! The rooms could have a little more luggage space, such as drawers or closets.

The location is great, a two minute walk from Avenida da Liberdade and 25 minute walk to the train station. The decor is really unique-I like that the burlesque styling has been maintained throughout. Rooms are really clean and the restaurant was good too.

The only minor complaint was that I was staying in a room that overlooked the roof terrace, so on my last day I was woken up very early in the morning by shouting workmen and hedge trimming (pre-7am onwards). When I informed the staff it was basically met with a shoulder shrug, not even an apology which was incredibly disappointing as the rest of my stay, as well as the staff, had been absolutely brilliant. I clearly was just unlucky with that, but the handling of it was very disappointing.

Comfortable, clean, good location being close enough to the action to walk, good soundproofing and quiet, breakfast was pretty good but they did run out of eggs regularly. Staff were helpful. I've given a score of 9 but 8.5 would be more accurate as the hot water was luke warm on 2 of my 6 nights - only criticism really but apparently the maintenance team was on to it.

The water was luke warm on 2 nights - details in what I liked. Also caveat emptor: the hotel kindly ordered a taxi for me on an app when I was leaving. For some reason whether I was paying cash or with a card was relevant. The car, No 94, ripped me off and I naively paid cash having not seen the meter (it seemed to be hidden from sight). Suggest don't jump in that cab number. Not the hotel's fault, though.

The location is perfect, 2 minutes from the metro station and within easy walking distance of key districts such as Principal Réal, Baixa Chiado and Barrio Alto. The staff is super helpful, professional and friendly. The place’s cleaning staff kept our room in sterling condition. And the breakfast offers a wide array of foods, from salads and the usual suspects such as bacon and eggs to delicious flaky pastries. We stayed there 8 nights and are grateful for our stay.

The room are not very spacious.
