The room was very spacious, stylish and clean. Also, they prepared some towels for beCh and thermal baths which was a nice touch.

Well, we had to deal with big cockroaches (about 4-5 cm) every evening. We heard them in the maintenance box, also found them in a corridor and our kitchen. Moreover, they have a gym, which is in the garrage were the towels are drying. If you go there in the evening, it is very hot and humid. About brakfast - you have to make order a day before and sometimes we did not have everything we asked for. But we were not starving, it is just a minor disadvantage.

I loved everything about Aqua - Pópulo Eco Village! The modern, spacious rooms felt like home, and the morning breakfasts were a treat. The location was ideal, and having a gym on-site was such a bonus. I especially appreciated that it was pet-friendly—my cat loved it as much as I did!

It’s a minor thing, but the room was a bit cooler than I’d prefer, possibly because I was on street level. I tried adjusting the temperature on the unit, but it didn’t seem to work too well.

Our stay was good, liked that they had e-bikes for rent. The breakfast was great delivered at 8:30am (or later if requested, previous day if needed earlier), selection for breakfast was done the day before and messaged via WhatsApp. A great selection of seasonal fruit, breads, yogurt & cheese, scrambled eggs or mini waffles or pastries available a couple times a week. Milk, juice and coffee/tea & espresso pods. Kitchen was fairly well equipped we really just used it for snacks & adding eggs to our breakfast on the days they didn’t provide them. Pool was warm, hot tub was okay a bit cloudy the day we arrived but the next day it was good. Like everywhere else on the island the parking is tight they did have fenced area to park.

We had a little issue with the shower not draining but it was fixed the next day. There was a dog barking next door it could be heard from the penthouse master bedroom was glad I brought earplugs (know this wasn’t their fault things like that can happen). The week we choose the closest restaurants were closed and on vacation (again not their fault), was very glad we rented a Car.

We had an incredible stay at Aqua Populo Eco Village during our visit to Ponta Delgada. The establishment is impeccably maintained, offering a serene atmosphere. Being just a 3-minute walk from the beach was a delightful bonus. The staff went above and beyond, assisting us not only with accommodations but also arranging transportation and a memorable whale watching tour. Their exceptional service has left a lasting impression, and we look forward to returning in the near future!

Got excited when I saw a Ben and Jerry ice cream in the freezer. Unfortunately it was left behind by the previous guest and overlooked by the housekeeper.

This location was great. Easy to go the main part of PD. Also great to go to either end of the island when doing tours & seeing the sights. Breakfast every morning was a good start to the day & plenty of food to choose from. The communication was fantastic & prompt. I greatly appreciated how accommodating the staff was. The walk down the street to Sunset Beach took 3 minutes & nearby Pópulo Beach was 3 minutes by car. Can’t say enough great things!!!

Not much! It was a great stay!

The receptionists were polite and helpful and replied shortly on Whatsapp. Minor problems were solved quickly and professionally. Bicycle rental available on site, it was easy to cycle around. Laundry service was convenient. Breakfast was great and the kitchen well equipped. The best beach is close, and the pool with a view is nice. Code locks; no need to carry hotel keys around. Felt safe all the time and the hotel was quiet, too. Appreciated plastic/metal/carton etc recycling. Wanted to use the same towels several times but the towels just didn't dry indoors. I would suggest offering a simple clothesline for ground floor customers that they can attach in front of the back door themselves, if needed.

Perhaps the only minor minus is the cleaning of the hotel room floors which could have been more thorough.

We stayed in Aqua in June, two adults with two small children. The house is a 3 minutes walk from a small beach that we visited every day. It is ca 10 mins drive from Ponta Delgada, so it is very well suited for guest who don’t mind staying a bit further away from the city but very close to a beach. The Beach Villa we booked offers plenty of space for 4 people. The included breakfast can be selected from a menu, on the day before. One can choose from bread, butter, cheese, milk, fresh fruits, joghurt, etc. The diary products in the Azores are really good. Maybe one thing to keep in mind is that the nearest grocery store is some 800m away uphill, but this wasn’t a problem for us. We did our shopping on our way out or back to the house, and the beach bar at the local beach has enough dishes on its menu, from french fries to fresh fish, at a very reasonable price, also for takeaway. Joao, the manager is extremely nice and helpful, he really made are stay pleasant. There is a rooftop pool with a nice view but we ended up using it only once because the beach is so close. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would like to thank Joao and the staff for their hospitality!

There wasn’t anything really. Maybe the coffee is not perfect but as far as I could see, there is not much choice of coffee capsules on the whole island. What they have is not the smaller nespresso type capsules so it doesn’t help bringing your own. But bars and coffees do have proper coffee machines.

It’s like your private apartment with hotel style room service. Great pool at the rooftop and very decent gym. Location is amazing, all the main attractions are just less than 40 minutes away!

No internet for 5 out 8 days and we weren’t offered any sort of compensation or a different room. Wouldn’t be big of a deal as we could use the mobile data, but there is no reception in the room either, so we had go outside even to check the weather for the next day. Lack of vegetables in the breakfast menu.

Stayed for nearly a week at the Penthouse Apartment (so called Blue Villa) at this smart and beautifully designed place just off Ponta Delgada and the black volcanic beach of Populo. The apartment had two bedrooms and two bathrooms with full comforts. The rooftop terrace deck with a large jacuzzi and black rock clad swimming pool is adjacent so you can just hop in any time you like. The property is sophisticated and it works like a clockwork, not the least due to the wonderful hosts Diogo and Joao - forever helpful and kind. Very much recommend it for exploring the area as it’s easy drive to anything you may wish to see on Sao Miguel.

The place is amazing, very spacious and nice decorated. The staff very friendly and helpful. Seaview jacuzzi and swimming pool, well equipped gym room. Beds was very comfortable Breakfast has been delivered to the Villa each morning, and it was plenty with local products. We spend 7 days, family of 5 and enjoyed every minute. The beach is only short 5 min away, plus it has nice children play area. Would highly recommended to anyone, and hope we will comeback soon.

not much to dislike, everything it was amazing, Would advise to put salt, pepper and maybe oil in the kitchen. Otherwise was perfect.
