From the minute we booked our reservation the staff was in touch to ask about dinner reservations, dietary restrictions, food preferences. The property was beautifully manicured, the rooms were bright, decorated simply and elegantly. The beds were incredibly comfortable with simple clean linens. The breakfast was extraordinary with so many options of fresh juices, coffee, breads, cheeses, meats, local specialties, eggs prepared to order, pineapples from the property. All of this displayed in the the most appealing way. the hot tub was uniquely situated in one of the pineapple greenhouses. We would absolutely come back to Herdede do Ananás without hesitation.

Honestly, we had not a single complaint.

The team greeted us with smiles and were flexible in welcoming us a bit early after our overnight flight. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the breakfast is superb. An easy walk to the ocean, Ponta Delgada center. Lovely grounds.

A bit of street noise from our room but not too bad. There was some confusion with the Pineapple Experience Package that comes with the Booking.com reservation - after the informative free tour we and another hotel guest couple were told the experience is over, while others were invited to sample pineapple wine and cheese. One hotel guest couple had apparently bought separate vouchers for that but we didn't know that was an option. It was awkward but the staff kindly gave us some pineapple wine to sample when I explained our confusion.

We loved everything about our stay! The accommodation is just as described, perfectly clean and neat. Spacious room with spacious bathroom. Ample parking. Amazing breakfast. We arrived very late (after midnight) but were warmly welcomed and escorted to our room. Pineapple glasshouse tour was interesting, informative and fun! Edgar was fantastic! Finally, the joy of relaxing in the spa-pool in-between rows of pineapples is hard to describe! Just fantastic! Big Thank You to Luis, Edgar and the team for the passion, effort and emotion they put in welcoming guests to their plantation and the old family home. We would love to come back, with family and friends.

Everything is just perfect!

We loved everything about this property. The care and service received was exceptional from our initial reservation to our departure. Edgar and Luis along with the staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. They accommodated our family with early check in offering drinks and a place to rest which was very much appreciated after a long flight. A small beautifully designed and thoughtful hotel… with their restaurant and breakfast equally so. Pineapple tour and wine was a wonderful surprise! Thank you. We will be back again 😊

very good brekfast, comfortable beds, cleanliness, parking space and positive attitude of the staff.

All was ok, but somthing find to correct like more cabinets and hangers in relation to the number of people in the room. For example room was for 4 people, but in room was only 2 cups. This is a niuanse, however, they spoil the overall very good impression. Remember to reserve a table for dinner in advance, as there may be no table available. One evening we wanted to have dinner, but we were refused due to lack of reservation. After some time, we were invited, but unfortunately we had already used up our spare purchases :).

Very large well lit room with a private balcony, The pineapple experience provided some interesting insight into the production of a fruit that is not native to the island, there's a lot of human intervention.

The check in experience was not great, difficult to enter the gated property as the gate is immediately off a narrow busy one way street. To arrive without a gate key means having to park the car somewhere, walk back to ring the bell then walk back the car to drive around the property (one way system) to park it inside the property. They advertise an indoor swimming pool, it's not a swimming pool, it's a jacuzzi, you can't swim strokes. Our booking.com room was right next to the automatic gate and the busy side road, so you can hear the cars wizzing on the road and the gate opening and closing each time the guests come in and out. Not very quiet therefore.

This hotel, where I am now staying for the 3rd time, is of course great, the friendly employees, the room(6nr.) with veranda, the breakfast and the pineapple tour and then the great hot tub in the beautiful pineapple greenhouse makes it complete. The location of the hotel is also great just outside the center. If you get the chance for dinner at Rustico restaurant, do it!

A small downside is that if you want to relax in the hot tub, make sure you are not disturbed by others talking or playing with their cell phones. I went at a late and an early time. Watching the sun rise in the greenhouse is magical!

Everything! The grounds were beautiful and unique. So lucky that the owners have decided to share their “house” to the public. The pineapple plantation was especially enlightening. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they grow their own bananas, guavas, and avocados that they feed us for breakfast. And the breakfast is divine! Their restaurant also offer delicious entrees. Another unique feature of this place is the jacuzzi inside a pineapple greenhouse! I also loved my room with a very comfortable bed. I felt rested. Most importantly, the best part of this place are the people who work there. Edgar was very accommodating and helpful and he made me feel at home. I would come back and stay here again!

Herdade do Ananás was a unique, beautiful stay with excellent facilities for a three night trip for my spouse and myself. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and it was nice to have a king size bed - in my experience, these are harder to come by in Europe. The grounds were beautiful with a very cool jacuzzi in one of their pineapple growing houses. There was ample parking, and the staff was excellent and accommodating. The breakfasts were fresh, delicious, and ample.

Not particularly walkable. I assume most people rent a car coming here though, so it was no issue for us.

It is a lovely and stylish hotel with pineapple plantation on its territory. Rooms are spacious, very comfortable bed. Breakfast is very nice. The hotel offers a short visit to a pineapple plantation and it is worth it.

Beware that location is far from historic center. Driving in and out of the territory of the hotel can be tricky if you have a big car. Personnel on the day of arrival was rather confused, but the next day the host was perfect.
