It was excellent overall and we loved our room with its super view. The Room Cleaners were great, as were the Bar Staff, and the Reception Team were also first-class. The Porters we had were very nice and helpful. The Indoor Pool was superb and the Gym good. The Hotel Location is brilliant.

We dined out most evenings but, on the one or two occasions that we dined in, the food quality was not great and the ambiance very lacking for dinner. The one area of the hotel that had a real problem was Breakfast. It was almost exactly the same each day with not enough variety and there was a significant negative attitude on the part of some of the Staff. They seemed like an unhappy team unlike everywhere else in the Hotel.

We had a suite with a sea view, so our opinion is a reflection of that The rooms were spacious and very comfortable with plenty of storage The bed was huge and very comfortable. The air conditioning was great. It was really nice to have a balcony overlooking the sea Some reviews refer to road noise - there is a road in front of the hotel, but it is not exactly busy, and it certainly did not disturb us - in fact, we slept with the window open one night The buffett breakfast was ample, although the dining room was very busy at times We were too busy seeing San Miguel to use the outdoor pool, but it looked great We used the indoor pool and jacuzzi once, and it was lovely.

Location was phenomenal! Very, very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Pools (indoor and outdoor) were wonderful although there wasn’t much seating room outside for the size of the hotel. Breakfasts were plentiful and good although after nine mornings there wasn’t much variation in what was served. The view from our room was magnificent!

A couple of small details (read above) and the cost per night was a bit high for the room type. Although clean and comfortable, it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary.

The staff was super nice, friendly and professional. The hotel location is amazing with great views and close to everything. The rooms are spacy however a little stuffy due to full carpeted floors (allergies). The pool and jacuzzi are definitely a bonus!! The bar food was amazing and the staff incredible!! Overall a wonderful experience!

The breakfast was disappointing to us. The fresh fruits and cheese had no taste and there was no fresh juice which is sad for an island that has great fruits and cheeses. The coffee was also a little bland. The selection however was great.

The location was fabulous, close to the airport and all the things you want to see in Ponta Delgada. Very walkable to cafes and restaurants. We enjoyed the sauna facilities, such a treat after a long day exploring the island. The staff were very friendly and cleaning staff did a fabulous job of making sure room was spotless. Breakfast was good, great selection of breads and cheese, and different fruit juices was nice. More variety of fruits would’ve been nice. I would for sure come and stay here again!

There were dogs that would regularly bark in the evening, it was quite loud. The Air Conditioner in the room blew directly on to two of the three beds in room and did not even reach one of the beds; making for an uncomfortable sleep for some.

The rooms were cleaned daily, and the maids were very good. The front Receptionists were very helpful. Breakfast had so much variety, and I loved the different coffees. The location is excellent. This was our second time staying at the Atlantico. Hopefully we will stay there again. Looking to spend a longer period of time if they have a rate for longer stays.

To be honest, there was nothing complain about. The bellman was so helpful, as we had gone shopping, and he always assisted us with putting our luggage in our rooms ahead of our stay. Well Done ! Atlantico

Our rooms were adequate to hold four guests. We had stayed at the Marina Atlantic hotel before, and the service we received has and continues to be first class. The moment you enter the hotel, you are greeted by the Bell Man, who was Carvo, who is always ready to assist you with your luggage. Well Done! Carvo The room was well lit, and the space adequate for our stay. I loved the personal touch that fruit and water was supplied in each room. We had two rooms, and the room attendants had the room spotless. Due to the fact that we had early morning tours, the assistant had equipped our rooms with fresh towels, beds made etc. On another note, before leaving I had left my Diabetic medicine in the fridge, and our room attendant had personally hand delivered it to me while I was waiting in the lobby. What a personal touch. She was in fact, frantic that she had missed us. Well Done! Room 414. Please send her my sincerest thanks. The breakfast had so much selection, It was awesome, and I thoroughly enjoyed waking up, and having the choice of several beverages, fruits, cereals and hot dishes. The staff at the Marina Atlantic, are always so polite, and they go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. What a lovely place to stay, and the view breathtaking. The suggestions and places to visit by the staff, were on point. Again, we thank them all. We will be visiting Marina Atlantic next year, and I have recommended to my family and friends, to also stay at this hotel. To be honest, I found nothing to complain about. The lobby was spotless and the Receptionists were always on duty, answering questions, and of course making sure that the Taxis had arrived on time. The hotel was full, but I had observed how all the staff went above and beyond to see that each guest was completely taken care of and satisfied. Atlantico Marina is like a home away from home. Well Done!

It is important to know that a main road is just next to the hotel, we were prepared so it did not bother us, but it could for others if the are not aware

The suite was spacious and had all the things you'd want - clean rooms, comfortable bed, a full-length mirror, magnified and lighted makeup mirror in the bathroom, plenty of lighting options and power outlets, simple and understandable climate control. The front desk was extremely friendly and helpful.

The glass door separating the toilet from the rest of the bathroom is an accident waiting to happen because it swings both ways, it can (and did) crash into the bidet and gets in the way of the main bathroom door. It is not useful at all. There was an unusual amount of street noise from "merrymakers" well into the night and until dawn; not really something the hotel can control but something potential guests should be aware of. The breakfast buffet is the only feature that gets a bad review. Food choices were limited and unappealing, except for the bread, and the least appealing buffet of all my other hotel stays.
