Maria at the front desk was so wonderful. Friendly, cheerful, informative, she really made our day! Good size room, comfy beds, great AC, and large bathroom. Breakfast in the morning was exceptional. Eggs, bacon, mushrooms, fresh yoghurt, fresh fruit, cheeses and different kinds of fresh bread. We loved the coffee and the wait staff were lovely. Central location and cool lobby. Highly recommend this property.

For older people, the bathtub could have used some helpful handholds as the tub was slippery and deep.

This is a charming, small, and cozy hotel. The way the building was remodeled and decorated makes guests feel like they are in a distinctive and refined space. Although the breakfast doesn't have much variety, the quality and freshness of all the products are certainly noteworthy. Overall, the entire staff was very attentive and friendly. Another positive aspect to highlight is that the housekeeping service genuinely respects the "do not disturb" signs on the doors. For a 4-star hotel, the room was truly spacious and very pleasantly arranged. The location in the historic center of Ponta Delgada is undoubtedly a highlight.

As for the less positive points, it is noteworthy that the breakfast room is the same one used for the sushi restaurant, decorated with Japanese and Oriental motifs, which makes the breakfast atmosphere a bit strange. Another downside is that the hotel's parking requires a staff member to manually open the gate and operate the lift platform, which is a time-consuming process and can cause traffic congestion in the city, making guests uncomfortable. This is important because there is very little parking in the center of Ponta Delgada and many tourists use rental cars.

We asked for a room with a balcony and got one! We enjoyed having the doors open and looking down the street and watching the sun rise. Breakfast included natural yogurt with 2 or 3 fruits, 3 types of bread, 3 types of cheeses and two hams and a cooked breakfast of scrambled egg, bacon and mushrooms. There was little variation from this and plenty of tea and coffee either from an urn or machine to taste. Always clean and people moved through quite quickly and it was quickly topped up.

Noise of car tyres over the cobbled street late at nigh or noise from the bar down the road. We kept the doors closed and we could hear neither. I would have liked them open but we had the best room I think.

This is a renovation and addition to an ancient building that retains some beautiful, original stonework. It appears to have been rehabbed in the mid 00’s in the contemporary fashion. Beds were perfect- firm with nice linens. Bath had a big tub and bidet with endless hot water. Great location and couple blocks from the main plaza, lots of eateries but fairly quiet given the location. easy street parking or in their garage. Breakfast was big with lots of unpackaged (fresh) pastry products, juices, fruit, eggs, bacon, cheeses, yogurt etc. it has a beautiful indoor pool.

Because of the renovation age it does not have some of the features like bedside outlets that you would get in a new renovation. Carpets were a bit worn and soiled.

A lovely, efficiently run hotel which is full of character. It is well positioned on the edge of the old town just a few minutes walk from the main square, pleasant restaurants and the coast. The reception is large and modern with really helpful and professional staff. Our room was large, bright and had all the expected facilities, with a large comfortable bed and a good sized bathroom (albeit a little dated). The room was quiet and well insulated from any noise. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and well prepared and presented food. This hotel is really excellent and is great value for money - I would highly recommend it.

Location is fantabulous! In the center of everything. Breakfast was very delicios, spacios breakfast room, hot /cold meal, eggs, bacon, mashrooms, juices, coffee, yogurt, jams,etc. Very nice, informative and pleasant front desk/concierge agents . Beds are comfortable, spacios room. Very safe . Would definitely return again .

Didnt like that rooms are not soundproofed . We could hear person coughing non-stop behind the wall. Or some loud giggles and laughs . Few other small things, but overall, it nothing major.

The hotel was absolutely perfect. Everything we needed for a few days after a week of hiking. Centrally located. Free parking. Big room, two single beds and a nice bathroom. Good AC/Fan system. Our second floor room faced the pool and was quiet despite the hotel being full. The staff was so nice to us and very helpful regarding parking the car in their underground. There is accessible, pay street parking very close by if you do need it in pinch. They have a great breakfast with a lot of offerings. The town is small and since we walk everywhere anyway we could walk to everything easily from our hotel. I highly recommend it!

Not a negative on the hotel, but just a note: The streets of Ponta Delgada are super tiny and getting to the hotel by car was an experience- not hard from the main road, just a squeeze. Rent a tiny car or pick up / return your rental at the airport before or after your stay in town, if possible!

The staff was amazing and very helpful. We needed to depart early the following morning and they prepared lunch bags for us with a simple breakfast which was greatly appreciated. They arranged for a taxi from the hotel to the airport that came right on time. The pool area is lovely and we enjoyed a nice swim. The hotel is pleasant overall and I would stay here again but I would probably request a courtside facing room.

The room was a bit outdated. For sure it could use a couple of sockets in the right locations and the fan in the bathroom was on the verge of falling apart. Our room was also facing the comfort inn across the street so it was quite loud for a better part of the night which made it a bit difficult to sleep.

Excellent location and cheerful, helpful and obliging staff. The staff were very helpful with restaurant reservations and immediate requests. The beds were firm and comfortable.

No coffee maker or kettle in the room. Something that I would expect for a 4 star hotel. The breakfast had a good variety of options, except the hot foods were the same every day so a little boring - could use variety. The room lacked proper lighting in the evenings especially for reading in bed.
