I recently stayed at the Cathedral Design Apartments in Porto, and overall, it was a lovely experience. The apartments are beautifully designed and perfectly located right next to the Cathedral, allowing easy access to the city's highlights.Even though it's a busy area, the noise was surprisingly minimal, so I slept well.

The only reason I've given 9 instead of 10 is because our apartment needed a bit of TLC. There were a few maintenance issues, such as a broken showerhead, air conditioning that leaked (requiring bowls to catch the water), and some blinds that wouldn't lock, letting in morning light.

All in all a fantastic stay and would definitely stay here again due to the central location of the property (right next to the Cathedral) and the friendliness of the hosts who always kept us fully up to date with all information surrounding our stay including check in and check out times as well as recommendations as where to eat and what to visit. Especially liked the WhatsApp Group that Diego set up so we didn't miss a thing! The apartment was clean, the WiFi worked well and we were able to get a good nights sleep on all 3 days we were there. It was a quiet location despite being near the Cathedral and with a Coffee shop more or less next to the front door but as this was only open during the day and somewhat hidden, it was not an issue at all rather a big plus either for breakfast or for a quick drink on the way home. The only small thing I'd mention is that the safe in the apartment was defect, which the hosts informed us about in advance, but it wasn't an issue especially as I'm sure it will be repaired soon. All in all, a fanatstic apartment which I'd highly recommend and stay in again!!

The reception staff is so friendly and kind (I forgot his name), he replied to my concerns quickly. I stayed in the 4th floor, it is quiet, comfortable and very good location and very convenient to see tourists places in Porto including the shops, pubs, restaurants etc.

There is no lift but I just left my luggage on the ground floor, the staff was happy to help to take it in the 4th floor but I decided not to take it. It is an old city so it is expected that there are no lifts so it is not a problem at all. Also, they should increase the water pressure in the shower, it will be perfect!

Ease of access to the property, communication was excellent everything we asked was answered and more, location is perfect and it felt very secure. we didn’t use any of the kitchen appliances but it was good to see if we did it’s all there and immaculately clean. After a busy day sightseeing and way to much fabulous Porto wine it was great to be able to chillax and watch British tv if we wanted. Plus it was defo soundproofed which was great.

Wi-Fi was none existent, we were lucky we didn’t have to rely on it. we could connect and the signal was strong but it never once worked. It just kept spinning so we gave up. Also there were so many undesirables within close proximity of the property and which ever way we approached we would have to pass them. One night a Bottle was thrown whilst they were arguing tbh they looked like they were down and outs doing drugs and alcohol. I think there needs to be a police presence around the area.

A superb location to explore the city , close to the train station , cathedral and a short walk down the hill to the ribeiria. The apartment was spacious with great facilities and a nice look out to the cathedral . You do get a free alarm clock with the castle bells that chime at 8am. A short walk down the hill through the old streets takes you to a nice courtyard to a lovely traditional Portuguese bar to have an afternoon drink, closes at 6 pm though

The location was excellent, close to the bridge and train station. The location makes this place, the room was a good size for a couple and staff were helpful.

Some maintenance needs to be done in the rooms especially the bathroom. The shower was broken there was mould and chipped paint etc. nothing too serious but those improvements would go along way. Would not recommend if you want quiet but that was fine for us, being near the cathedral there were guides and noise all through the day.

Was great location but heads up that you cannot be dropped off right in front. So be prepared to walk and climb with your suitcases or bags. I stayed with a friend and asked for the futon, which was just some couch cushions on the floor. I would suggest that they update their listing that there isn’t a sofa bed so it is more accurate. Other than that everything was good and it was surprisingly quiet at night.

Very clean, comfortable in a great location close to the Metro & major sites in the city. The kitchenette w/frig & microwave helped cut costs so yo don’t have to eat out for every meal.

More English language programming on the TV. Maybe have a map of the city to show how close you are to major sites in the City of Porto.

Convenient; easy access to property with a code; nice staff;

Given 1 towel for 2 nights stay and nowhere in bath to put them; probably could have gotten more if ask Simplifying directions to property would help…like go to Cathedral side entrance, walk down hill toward Info Building, pass it and directly turn right and it’s right there. Street sign on back of this building and can’t see easily and cab would not drive down the hill.

Clean and comfortable apartment, in a fantastic location. The staff were super helpful providing lots of recommendations to enhance our visit to Porto and arranging our transfer to the airport.

The room was smaller than we expected, the size of a typical hotel room, with the seating area and bed the same space just with different configurations.
