From the exceptional ***** staff to the beautiful and very clean rooms, the high end decor, the fantastic restaurant (had dinner there one night and also had room service late one evening!) - everything was great!! AND this hotel is in a super location as well! We were in Portugal for 11 days and spent three nights here and while it was a bit more expensive - all in all - worth it!

Breakfast was not "included" as it was with all of the other hotels we stayed in on our trip. I think it was 20-24 Euro per day so we opted to get something as we headed out each day. Plenty of options and all close!!

Spectacular facility. A true 5 star, super luxury at a definitely acceptable price! From the personalized check-.in, carefully set aside calmly and serenely while sipping port (both red and white to the correct fresh tempoeratura). Everything is taken care of down to the last detail, with amazing rooms, impeccable cleanliness, multiple steps throughout the day to open/close curtains as well as putting towels in front of the bed and so much more. Change of water and fruit in the rooms. A la carte breakfast at no extra cost, made on the spot by the chef with choice and seasonal products. Coffee and other drinks made by the bartender with professional machines. Buffet with great choice of savory and sweet, fruits and cereals. Location in the center of Porto, although inside seems to be far from everything because of the calm and silence. Very comfortable beds, darkness and peace assured. SPA with sauna, hammam and pool. One of the best hotels I have ever visited with unbeatable value for money. Attentive and caring desk service, ready to meet everyu request and reservations for restaurants ne much more, communicating later by phone any updates. I hope to stay there again, it was really a pleasure! Kudos to the staff, bar and front desk always very attentive and professional!

I loved everything about this hotel. I cannot fault it for anything. It was absolutely lovely. The location was perfect. I wish I had stayed longer.

One thing is that it's not reachable by car unless it's a taxi or car service called for by the hotel. If walking up hill from a street away by taxi or public transportation is an issue, then keep this in mind. Also upon arrival, the check in is on the 2nd floor and there's no real indication in the entrance lobby showing that when you first enter the premises. These are just things to be aware of when booking and if they are issues for your party, then this may not be the place for you.

One of the best! Situated on a central pedestrianised area, the rest of Porto was within reach by foot (as long as you are happy with hills). One slight downside is that only certain taxis could access the pedestrian area so some dropped you off with a short walk to the hotel. We didn't try the evening meals but the buffet style breakfasts were excellent. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and the room, which overlooked the street and its buskers, was not noisy due to good sound proofing.

Very little. Lighting in the bedroom could have been better and some steps within the hotel required care as their edges were difficult to see - but we were told that they were well aware of those minor problems and they were about to be rectified.

Location was phenomenal, hotel was tastefully decorated with hardwood floors. Wide selection for breakfast that ran from 07:00-11:00, with a buffet and a la carte options. All the staff were courteous, professional and friendly. Definitely would come back the next time I’m in Porto!

The restaurant food quality was sub par, ate there once for lunch and would not return. Fries were not seasoned well enough, steak was chewy and also lacked seasoning. Pillows and mattress could be of better quality given the hotel 5 star rating.

Amazingly designed hotel, with the most friendly staff you could find. They have great attention to details and give you a lot of little attentions. We mentioned that we were travelling for a small honeymoon before our big one next year, and they surprised us with a bottle of a Portuguese sparkling wine and chocolate truffles in our room.

Almost nothing, except for the acoustic insulation that wasn't the best between our room and the courtyard and the main street, but after 10/11pm, everything is quiet.

The hotel was lovely and the staff were so attentive and helpful. I wish we had stayed longer- their spa looked amazing, but I did not get a chance to go (my fault for only staying in Porto for 2 short nights). The location is excellent. We had a room with an amazing Cathedral view. We got excellent restaurant and sightseeing recommendations from the front desk staff. I would absolutely stay there again!

I can't think of anything bad to say. If anything, the walk to our room was a bit long, but it is part of the charm of the hotel, and I didn't really mind it

Perfect location right in the heart of town, just a 5-minute walk to the station and about 15 down to the river. Plenty of shops and restaurants on our doorstep but still quiet. The staff are amazingly helpful, often anticipating needs rather than waiting to be asked. Our room was spacious with a large, comfortable bed. We ate dinner there on just one evening but it was superb. The buffet breakfast was OK but not spectacular.

We hadn’t realised that the bathroom is ‘open plan’ to the bedroom - no door - although the toilet had its own cubicle. As a mature couple, we prefer a little more privacy so, sadly, we won’t be returning. When I enquired, I was told that all the rooms are like this. If you don’t mind that, I’d recommend it highly - it really is a lovely hotel.

The location of Casa da Companhia was ideal for us meeting with our friends from France which was a 4-5 minute walk from the train station. The street for this hotel is closed to vehicles, so just be aware of this when visiting. We were warmly welcomed and quickly brought upstairs to the second floor where the reception is situated either by stairs or elevator. It might be confusing at first to navigate to your room, rest assured you will be escorted to your room but we stayed in the back of the hotel that entailed two elevators and a walk but not difficult. The room was spectacular for and opulent to say the very least, modern, warm, clean, and the view to the cathedral from our balcony was the creme de la creme. The bedding was ultra comfortable and quiet for our room on the 4th floor. The breakfast is a must if you do not have this, add to your stay. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful warm and cold assortment, and they will also ask if you want something from the kitchen. The wait staff was top top always asking if you need another cappucino, coffee, assorted beverages. We stayed three nights and will definitely visit again. Many thanks to all the staff and so pleasant.

Just the odd layout getting to our room in the back of the hotel. There was one instance that a ramp was warranted vs steps if you need to carry luggage or someone that couldn't utilize the few steps. It looks like an easy fix to install.

Absolutely perfect stay and flawless experience! One of the best, if not the best, 5-star hotels we've ever been to. The staff was super professional, paid attention to every detail, and delivered impeccable service. The warm welcome with glasses of Port Wine was a nice touch. The room upgrade and the stunning view of Porto's main cathedral took us by surprise – many thanks for that and all the other perks! The hotel is luxurious and cozy, with fantastic design, perfect cleanliness, a great spa and swimming pool, and a delightful breakfast. The location is top, right in the middle of the historical center with main restaurants and sights all around. We simply loved the hotel and are grateful for this wonderful experience!
