We stayed one night in room 23 (2nd floor) + Excellent location for tourism: walking distance to good restaurants and main attractions + Super friendly and helpful staff + Amazing view of the river and Luis bridge + Spacious apartment, well decorated, with complete kitchen appliances (stove, microwave, oven, mini-fridge, coffee machine, table for 2, etc) + Complimentary small wine bottle, water, fruits and chocolate

- Parking nearby is expensive. Not ideal for large/heavy suitcases. We parked on the street about ~3km away and called an app driver (taxi/uber) to take us closer to the hotel (~300m). Cheaper alternative to nearby private parking. Beware of street parking restrictions/fees - Shower could not keep a constant temperature (very unpleasant) - A bit noisy: possible to hear noise from room above - Pillows should be improved

The location of this property is excellent very close to everything that you want to see in Porto. The views overlooking the river were amazing. Every night of our stay we had a night cap (or two) in the hotel bar which has a lovely terrace with river views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious and it was great that we could leave our bags in the hotel after we checked out, at no extra cost, as we had a late flight.

The is no where to unpack as there is no wardrobe or drawers!! There was just a close-rail with 4 hangers which was not adequate for 2 people staying for 4 nights. We had to leave most of our clothes in the suitcase!

The location was great. Breakfast was nicely done. The room was very clean.

We arrived very late at night and called to notify them. Upon arrival, there was a misunderstanding in the booking details and the manager suggested that at 11PM we should cancel our stay. I would have never thought that would be her suggestion. She was not there in person at check in, but could be heard directing the reception - shouting and being very rude. Just to note, for anyone looking to stay here with a child, regardless of whether the child will be sharing your bed, you are required to pay around 80 euros per night. Great location and all, but I will not be staying here again.

Wonderful Hotel - looks and feels brand new, styled as very old medieval guest house; location is superb- right in the heart of Ribeira, but you can hardly hear any noise when you are in the room. Room was spacious and comfy, with fully equipped kitchen. Big and modern shower cabin. Staff was very friendly and resourceful. Great breakfast with the view over the river. Lots of restaurants around and very vibrant environment is just at the door step.

We were missing a small wardrobe or a couple of shelves in the room - there is an open hanger with 1 shelf but not enough to unpack 2 suitcases). Also, it would be helpful to have more electrical sockets near the bed, as it’s only one from each side and that’s where the night lamps are plugged in.

Great location as previous reviewers have commented. If you don’t mind walking hills everything is walking distance. It does get noisy but the buskers finish by about 11pm. The room was clean, and the WIFI worked. There was slid but then a couple of stairs to chess our room.

The staff were not engaging at all. When we arrived I had to go upstairs to the cafe to get them to call someone. When walking past reception they did not talk to you. The room has a lot of space but is not so practical. Very small side table next to the bed. You can either have a bedside light or a device charging next to the bed as only one power outlet. Not much storage space for clothes.

The room we had was river facing and it was an amazing view. From our window we could see the river, the bridge and all the wineries. Right below the hotel is the main section for tourists but the windows sealed tightly to keep the room quiet. However when the live music performers began it did get a but noisy but we didn't mind because it was only for a couple hours. The view and location are worth it. It was nice to have a room bigger than a typical hotel room. Very comfortable.

The floors can be a bit noisy and we could hear the people upstairs walking sometimes.

the location is perfect. The bad was very good. The shower hot water was very good. The Room and kitchen accessories - were extremely comfortable.

For breakfast: The breakfast was Okay and more, but........... 1. It start in 8:00 in the morning and once we need earlier breakfast, the offered basket was less than poor. 2. There are no vegetables at all and it is not OKay. 3. coming close to the end of the breakfast time, there are missing dishes that not been renewed as expected.. for the bathroom: There is no place for the bathroom equipment like shop, shampoo etc in the shower cabinet

The apartment was excellent, very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were all very nice and helpful. The location is central to the river area so there were alot of people around. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very pleasant. The restaurant has a wonderful view of the river and bridge.

We did have a little trouble finding the front entrance. There are several restaurants around the entrance with outdoor seating. But we happened to inquire in the hotel's restaurant and the nice waiter showed us to the hotel elevator.

This is a beautifully designed aparthotel with attention to detail in the rooms and common areas. It is located smack in the middle of the Ribeira, so has amazing views of the Douro and is easy to get to many restaurants and the port wine tastings.

It's located smack in the middle of the Ribeira, so in addition to incredible views, it is also incredibly noisy. There are several buskers who play most of the day and part of the evening. We are an older couple and so this wasn't great for us. This is, of course, not the fault of this very well-run hotel, but I would have liked to have read reviews about this before booking!

The location. Best place to be if you like the river. View. In the Ribeira with lots of restaurants and bars below. Next to the bridge. Rooms are lovely and airy. Lots of light. Spacious. Comfortable bed. Well equipped apartment. Receptionists Mónica and Caterina super efficient and very helpful. We liked that it had a terraced bar restaurant overlooking the goings-on below. Last day they let us check out late and let us stay in the sofa area as it was raining really hard.

Shower was a bit of a hit and.miss. Water pressure was good but one minute you burned and next you froze. Not much choice for breakfast and staff got our orders wrong 3 times. It was noisy in the morning with setting up for breakfast and I imagine in the summer it will be worse.
