It's location was ideal for a lot of exploring Porto for the first time. The staff is super friendly and the room was quirky but comfortable. Breakfast is of good quality.

The hotel has a minimalist approach to many things that were annoying to me for a six night stay. For instance, there was little space in the room to hang clothes and you have no choice but to live off your luggage. The bathroom is sparse on space for you to put your stuff or hang anything. Coffee maker in the room was for making instant coffee. During breakfast, there is basically one person that makes coffee for you and also manages the front desk.

We LOVED our stay at Exmo! It totally exceeded our expectations. Location was perfect for us, breakfast was DELICIOUS, bed was ultra comfy, staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the decor/vibe was super cool. We had to catch a 5AM train, and the front desk had prepared us lunch goody bags to go in the morning! Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Not a single complaint about the hotel itself! Hotel is at the bottom of the hill, by the river, so a lot of activities are completely uphill. But kind of unavoidable in Porto, but maybe something to consider based on your activities and fitness level.

Teresa and her colleagues not only provided excellent service at the hotel but also went the extra mile by offering fantastic dinner recommendations in the city. They even offered to make reservations for us at some of the most popular and charming local restaurants, port wineries and local museums making our experiences truly unforgettable. One delightful aspect of our stay was our daily greeting with fresh espresso drinks and delicious cakes. It was such a thoughtful gesture that added a touch of warmth and indulgence to our mornings and afternoons. We felt pampered and cared for throughout our entire visit. The combination of the staff's personalized attention, their helpful dinner suggestions, and the delightful treats they offered us each day made our stay at Exmo Hotel a truly remarkable and pleasurable experience. It's clear that the hotel takes pride in creating a welcoming and homely atmosphere, making it the perfect choice for anyone visiting Porto. We traveled with our infant child and were treated very well, welcomed each time we entered and left the hotel and even had a table with a high chair waiting for us at breakfast. We can't thank the team ant Exmo enough for making our vacation so special and memorable. We'll definitely be returning in the future!

A ggorgeous little boutiwue hotel convenientl located close to the Douro waterfront but not affected by any noise or tourist traffic. From the outset staff were welcoming, friendly, helpful but above all else, quite genuine and tbemselves. The room was warm, comfy and tastefully equipped a very comfy bed and pillows. The city view room overlooked a small square and theres a great tapas joint just down the road....really good! (Sargadi) Breakfast was very filling and fresh, it really hit the spot. I highly recommend Exmo, its great value for money, the staff will help you out in any way they can and its perfectly located.

Exmo hotel by Olivia is luxurious and beautifully designed .. The Proximity of location to everything is possibly one of the best in Porto . When inside the hotel it is incredibly peaceful and quiet . This part of the city and the square across from the hotel is really quiet at night and through the night there was no noise heard at all within or from outside the hotel. There is a totally chilled ambience throughout the hotel and design aside - to be honest , this is for the most part down to the lovely people who work there. Every single person on the Exmo team went above and beyond to make our stay fantastic. Apologies for any incorrect name spelling here : Raol , Bruna , ( 2) Nadia , Theresa … the lovely Vee ( or Vie ) who made the most amazing breakfasts .. and the fabulous ladies who made our room sparkle every day for our return after a day walking around this beautiful city … and everyone else who’s name i may have missed. We adored Porto .. and we loved the Exmo … most of all we loved the people . we’ll definitely return … thank you .

The staff at The Exmo were all brilliant, smiley and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was nice with a good choice of food to suit everyone.

I booked a twin room for myself and my sister with views over the Ribeira, it was lovely apart from the window located directly in the shower that looked out onto the bedroom - very odd as this gave no privacy whatsoever. I'm assuming it was put there to give more light into the bathroom but surely the window itself could have been treated so that both the light and one's privacy could be maintained?

The staff made our stay even more special. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. We were always greeted with a smile and asked how we had slept or our day was going. The buffet for breakfast was extensive and extremely tasty. The hot food that was made to order was also well prepared and tasty. The room was comfortable and we always slept well. The overall design of the space was clean and modern and the space was used well throughout the room. The property is located in the heart of the old town. The Duoro is a short walk away but the area around the hotel is fairly quiet. Given its location, the Exmo also had the advantage of being a downhill walk at the end of most days or nights, which is a bonus in Porto.

Nothing. It was a great stay. Storage was a bit limited in our particular room since we each had a suitcase but we made it work.

I loved the view from my view as it was exactly what I requested. Hotel was modern and clean with a lovely interior style, The staff was extremely friendly ( a shoutout to Bruna at the time of my check-in was so wonderful, as I was offered a welcome drink which really hit the spot) . Breakfast was a lovely unique spread in the lobby. Overall, I cannot fought this hotel as it was in the centre of everything and nothing to complain about.

Despite the weak Wi-Fi in the room , there was nothing to dislike as it was such a wonderful place to stay

The staff were very friendly and helped us book a tasting and transport to the station. The breakfast had a good selection. Our room was well designed, spacious, bright, and comfortable. The pillows and bedding were comfortable although the mattress sunk in the middle as if it was fairly old/used. The location is perfect, right in the river edge and we walked to all the main attractions.

More of an FYI but check-in is 4pm which was the latest of any hotel we stayed at and a bit inconvenient.

This was an amazing discovery in Porto! Like a boutique hotel, with only 16 rooms, which made it more cozy. The building is a renovated ancient facility, soundproofed, you could hear nothing! They offered complementary bottles of water everyday, a welcome glass of wine & homemade cookies at your room. Emily, the receptionist was amazing and so friendly. It is also walking distance from everything, just around the corner, you have the waterfront and the marina facing the Duoro!
