Hotel is well located 5 minute walk from Waikiki beach and very close to shops and restaurants in the centre of Honolulu. 20-25 min drive to/from airport. Rooms were clean and well appointed and perfect for our short stay. Great value compared to other hotels in the area. Would certainly stay again.

It's not a glamorous hotel and lobby & hallways are a bit dated (but this really isn't a problem, just a comment). Only real negative was the noise coming from the pub across the road until early hours of the morning (and we were on the 7th floor!). Our kids were on the other side of the building and didn't hear the noise, so would recommend asking for the quieter side of the building. Also, the height of the shower was quite low and couldn't be adjusted. So not great for tall people.

The Aqua Oasis was a great hotel for the price. The fact it is an older hotel allows it to have that old-school Hawaiian feel, a huge balcony, exterior outdoor hallway to the room. The room itself was huge, the beds comfortable and more than enough space to get around in the bathroom. Housekeeping was excellent, always a clean room and more than enough towels. We liked there was cold water available in the lobby, worked great to fill up our water bottles. We also took advantage of the juice dispenser in the morning for some orange juice or lemonade to take with us to enjoy later in the day. The beach towels were a great size, sometimes hotels do not have bigger sized towels for that purpose, plus the little beach chairs were so light weight, we did not mind carrying those too.

The mini fridge was great to have in the room but the door sometimes seemed to stick, we were afraid it was going to fall off. We appreciated breakfast was included, but the space was a bit small when everyone seemed to show up at 7:00. When you went at 8ish, more room to sit, but the food was sometimes not replenished, so limited choices. We did get tired of having Costco muffins every day. It would have been nice to have some protein choice for the bagels/muffins/toast, like cream cheese and/or peanut butter.

Excellent location, a block away from downtown and the beaches. Attentive staff, wonderful room cleaning service. Hearty free breakfast. Koi pond! You can take the public bus #20 directly to or from the airport for $3, and the bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

No complaints. It is a great place to stay if you are on a budget yet still want a nice place with nice employees. Highly recommend.

The location. The spacious rooms. Breakfast (Altho more options or variation would have been good). Appreciated that entrance was locked at night. Loved that beach towels were offered.

Could have used 1 more pillow on the beds. Hallway was dark, but I loved the colors! I was surprised there was no oven in our kitchen, but not a big problem.

It was centrally located in the shopping district of Waikiki, there is an ABC store in the next block for souvenirs and sundries. Check in was easy, Denver the front desk clerk helped us during our stay, he gave us clear directions as well as very informative suggestions for places to visit. It was late evening when we got to the hotel, another nice Filipino gentleman (I cant remember his name) was also there to help us bring our luggage, although he usually sits in the front podium by the gate he patiently pushed the wheeled rack up to the room. These two employees are the reason why it made our stay enjoyable.

the hotel mentioned to have a continental breakfast, but they served toast, bagels, muffins, cereal, fruits, coffee and juice. I was hoping for proteins such as sausage and eggs and hash browns.

I love there was a microwave, most hotels I booked has only fridge and no microwave. Love how big the bathroom and room was

Hotel Parking too far and valet too expensive for locals, operator takes long to answer their phones, 1 elevator, there was no antibacterial hand soap, that there wasn't meat with breakfast (bacon, Spam, ham) Door stopper for front door

We had three rooms in total - the 1-bedroom with kitchenette, the small kitchenette room, and the two double beds room. All rooms were good size. We found the studio with kitchenette would work for a small family if you don't mind them sleeping on the sofa bed - it was large and I would pick that room again and again, even though all the rooms were great. They have balconies so you can have your coffee outside. Not much of a view, but nice to feel the breeze in the morning.

We did get tired of the same breakfast but that would be normal if you had the same options every day. It was convenient and good for us to get an early start to our day. On the days we stayed local, enjoying a local breakfast out was nice also.

Rude security guard eyeballed me up and down, did not believe I was a guest and didn’t want to let me in to check in! I let them know what time I was arriving and had my luggage with me. TERRIBLE first impression to guests. Pool closed but still gotta pay resort fee.

The hotel even had beach chairs which you could carry. The valet parking was quit pricey. The staff were very friendly and it is close to the beach and the center of wikiki area. Breakfest is included but be aware that is only continental meaning that there is butter jam bagel and pineapple with sume sweet pastry. The room was nice and clean.

The staff, the beds, the spaciousness of the room, the airconditioner, the continental breakfast, the pool and the location were all fabulous. The continental breakfast had enough variety ~ all cold~ to suit us. There was a choice of 4 cereals, tropical fruit, muffins and a toaster for bagels and toast, plus coffee, tea and juice available from 7:00~9:00am My daughter is disabled and so finds the surf too much. The pool was perfect for her. Our room had a balcony which means that our things like swimwear and socks dried very quickly. We used this daily. The property has a washer and drier, with a lounger and table outside whilst you wait, but we didn't need it. There were plently of comfortable places to sit in the shade when the beach and shopping was too much! It was a really friendly hotel. We'll definately stay there again.

The bath was very deep and so was a problem for a disabled client until we worked out how to get in and out safely. The family in the room next door was very noisy and their loud "discussions" about things were a constant issue at night. When the hotel was full, it was difficult to find a table for breakfast around 7:30~8:00am as some people took a seating for 4 for 1 or 2 people rather than share. We had some wonderful conversations in joint tables. They need more tables!
