There was filtered water on tap in the room, the toiletries were good quality, smelled nice. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was surprisingly good as we did not expect such a range. Lots of fruits, local comfort food & desserts. The staff were helpful & professional. The location is in an up & coming hipster area with small cafes & bakery serving good pastries & coffee. It is not overly crowded, nice stroll through the streets lined with shophouses. There are a few MRT stations within 5-10 min walk. Overall it is good value for money.

Room was small but it was a classic room at that price. Generally everything was fine for the price.

The brekkie staff were absolutely beautiful people and genuinely made us excited to see them every morning for the buffet. Especially the regular front area service women who constantly looked out for us throughout breakfast. They even helped us find a table on the final day when our usual area we gravitated towards was PACKED. The reception and housekeeping crew were genuinely so down to earth and would welcome/farewell you every time you walked past them without fail - even if it was just a cheeky smile. It made us feel certain that if we did have any concerns with the service of the hotel or the restaurant in the lobby that we'd be able to raise our concerns.

Entirely out of the hotel's control, but the location of the hotel could have better. Not saying it was horrible as it was in the middle of three train stations and several bus stations, but the current construction on the corner was noisy from early in the morning. PS, if you like to spread your stuff out then the smaller rooms would not be ideal for the best experience.

Breakfast is delicious and variety of vegetarian food options.

The location was excellent within 10 minute walking distance of 3 MRT stations. Lots of good value eateries and bars. The staff were super friendly and very efficient. The room was quiet and had a nice view overlooking the pool. The pool was lovely but the outside seating area could have done with some umbrellas etc to give shelter from the sun.

The bed was far too firm for us but we eventually got used to it. We were in room 702 and the shower door opening into the cubicle made it a tight squeeze to get in and close the door, poor design really. The shower failed to get too warm most days but the basin and water filter tap did? We decided to pay for the buffet breakfast one day and it was underwhelming and quite expensive but that may just be our taste in food.

Very very nice hotel with - for Singapore - surprisingly large room, comfortable bed and nice desk to plan your next day's sightseeing. I even had a nice balcony with a comfy seat. Quite pricey - but in Singapore we either pay this much for a comfortable night at a close to central location, where you can relax well, or if you pay less, you end up being in a depressing place affecting your whole mood for the holiday (trust me, been there done that). It was also very clean, good wifi and the staff was helpful. There is even a tap with filtered drinking water (I would also drink though the normal tap water in Singapore). Two MRT stations are walking distance: Lavender on the green and Bendemeer on the blue line, also safe area for a woman to walk alone late - you are in the center in 20 minutes or so. There is a mall nearby for coffees and food. So I very highly recommend if you look for a nice place where you can relax well and plan your next days in peace, not in the centre but very close.

Really not so important - but from a hotel, for so much money some complementary drinks would have topped the experience!

The hotel is located close to the centre of Singapore, and the Lavender MRT station is only a short walk away. One can easily travel to other parts of the city using the MRT. The room that I stayed, with my wife and two children, was very clean and comfortable. The air-conditioning was good and we could sleep very well, all three nights that we stayed there. My son and I, had also used the swimming pool on the top, and it was quite a relaxing experience. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful, and it made our stay very pleasant. I would be very happy to stay there again and I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

The bathroom was a bit small and it didn't have the ideal privacy, as the door couldn't be locked. The hotel management could possibly look into this, and perhaps, fit locks for all bathroom doors.

Location - 700 mts from Lavender MRT station.. easy walk + lot of pubs/grocery stoes/food courts around - perfect Room - clean, no noise, cleaned every morning , hot shower - perfect Pricing - cost as much as any other hotel in Singapore Food - good restaurant on site for breakfast @ SGD18 per person (we chose to have breakfast in the outlets outside where breakfast for our entire group of 4 would cost SGD20) Facilities - swimming pool on the terrace + sit out area on terrace is heavenly!

Early checkin was not possible. They have a clean bathroom & toilet for freshening up. Would have been nice to get a shower room as well.

Booked them last minute and requested for a simple birthday deco on the bed. Most hotels that i requested would usually just give cute animal shaped towels but nope, Mercure went the extra mile and gave us quite a few animal and flower shaped balloons!!! I am amazed by their efforts. Thank you so much. And the staffs were so cute! They actually whispered and hand signed me when they saw the birthday boy being blindfolded at the reception during check in. Hahahaa thank you. It's little things like this that go a long way. Thank you guys. You are amazing.

Nothing, really.

Quality fittings in the room and bathroom. Bed was hard but comfortable. I liked it. Wife didn't. Good desk and utility space for computer work and coffee making. Balcony: wife liked it. It was like having an outdoor living room. I napped. She chatted on her phone without disturbing. Soundproofing: only heard noise in the hallway. Nothing from the other rooms Bathroom: tiny but you got used to it. TIP the shower door opens outwards. Took a while to work it out. Water Pressure: strong and good supply of hot water. I showered three times each day after walking. Butt washer in the toilet was fun. Breakfast was limited but all of the dishes were tasty. I was especially pleased with the breakfast receptionist who found me real butter to eat with croissants (real, fresh croissants) and anticipated my request every morning. Internet was consistent: about 10mbps. No dropout. Log in lasted 24 hours. Same easy password. Staff at the front desk were always cheery and helpful. The location was excellent. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby and a very relaxed and cosy vibe.

Only a few minor qualms: No space on the right side of the bed and no power point. This was inconvenient. I would have preferred a smaller bed and more amenity. There was noise from the pub below, as others have commented. But with earplugs it didn't cause any grief. Lamp above the bed broken. The one above the desk broke but I fixed it. Key cards stopped working randomly. No major hiccups. We had a very enjoyable stay. Recommended.

Great customer service from hotel porter - Firdaus- caring and kind; happy to serve and goes the extra mile. My daughter had bad mosquito bites and he offered her ointment and asked after her each time he saw us- really touching. Housekeeping staff were very lovely too. Hotel location is fab.

Reception staff could be friendlier. Please provide milk for tea not creamer - it’s the little things that help 😊
