- The location is the best, from the hotel you can visit many attractions. The bus stop for the airport bus is nearby. It is quite safe for a solo traveller, highly recommend. - The room is nice. I stayed 4 nights there, the maid refilled fresh drinking water for me everyday. This impressed me very much, thanks. - Online check in was a nice way to safe time from check in.

- There should be some salad for breakfast. - The main door to my floor was quite often opened during I stayed. Some guests of course were not responsible to close it properly, it showed unsafety. It would be good if the door can be closed and locked automatically.

The room was small and I knew it when booking, had to climb a few stairs which was alright, and I found a really good and calm (courtyard) room and a great alternative to more expensive downtown hotels. An old building with new, modern interior. Location was great, just a few footsteps from the old town. Plenty of shops, restaurants and cafés around. Everything from check-in to check-out was pretty smooth. Buffet breakfast was alright, and I especially loved the breakfast room in the attic. Guests have access to the comfortable lounge (it's actually the breakfast room) all day long, can watch TV on a larger screen than in the room, can meet with other people, can read, and can have free water, coffee or tea all day long. Nice.

I didn't have any problems with the small size of the room and especially bathroom, but somehow looked to me as if maintenance and housekeeping were a little struggling with the size. No major issue though.

The hotel is located close to the old town area, you can visit this cozy corner on foot. The transport interchange is also very good. The staff is very responsive and pleasant, ready to answer all your questions, tell you where you can eat deliciously, where to go. The hotel provides breakfasts in the style of a buffet. Water, tea, coffee are constantly available in the rest room. It is important to read the description of the hotel, they warn in advance that there is no elevator, you will have to go up the spiral staircase, this did not scare us, because we read it in the information written here. The rooms are cozy, clean, equipped with air conditioning. We were satisfied, great thanks to the staff❤️

The location and the comfortable mattress

Ok,so it's not just the 3 stairs to get to the hotel, but another 2 to get to the room plus another one to get to the reception and the breakfast room. Also, when the city is frozen with snow, the pathway to the hotel should be cleaned so that it's not slippery and a hazard. The breakfast leaves a lot to be desired, at least there should be fresh bread and juice. The room lacks a chair at least and some space in the bathroom for leaving stuff. Overall, i guess it would be ok if all of the above came at a much lower price, not 100 euros a night.

Amazing stay, we booked last minute (I was on the plane when I booked :D ) and I got a confirmation straight away, they provided a code for self check in since we arrived at 1am, the room was clean and tidy, it had everything we needed. Breakfast was small but good, coffee and tea was available all day long. Bear in mind that there are 3 flights or stairs, if you have mobility issues is not recommended but we had no problems. The best thing during our stay was meeting Mila, the amazing lady at breakfast, she was so helpful and made us feel like home. Спасибо за вашу доброту, было очень приятно познакомиться )))

Everything was good

Everything was clean in the room, the WIFI was working perfectly and the staff were really helpful!! Also I could stay in the lobby area after my check out cause my flight was late in the night, a big plus!! Definitely recommend and I will come back!

The instructions for the self check in can get better and more clear, with specific information and photos to be sent the day of the check in, so nobody will got confused as I did and I call them at 2am! Also an extra advise: Try to find a solution with the main door to be locked especially in the night , there was some random man asking for money inside the courtyard during the night, as a woman I didn’t feel safe with that situation.

Good location, very comfortable and nice place overall. The free breakfast was a nice addition as well as free water machine and coffee. The staff were lovely. Good for solo travellers. Quiet place with only a few rooms but you can sometimes hear people walking outside your room. There are loads of steps but wasn't a issue for me and they did say in the description.

I had an incident when I arrived late, I had to self check in. The keys were left in the door for me but When I got to the room I found the keys were already inside. Then I found someone had got into my room and pooped. They left poo and smeared all across the outside of the toilet bowl!! And there were even stains on the door!! Don't ask me how someone could possibly do this. The smell was horrendous, I messaged the contact straight away and sent a picture on WhatsApp, the cleaner came within 5 minutes and cleaned up. She was very nice and quick. It was unfortunate this happened as the place was lovely, nothing to do with staff or hotel itself but did start with a negative experience.

I stayed in a single room, which was small but had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights of Upstairs Boutique is the large and spacious common area that guests can use as a workspace. It's perfect for those who need to get some work done during their stay. Additionally, the access to a fantastic coffee machine, tea, and other refreshments made my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel's central location in Bucharest is also a major plus, making it easy to explore the city.Overall, Upstairs Boutique is a great choice for solo travelers or anyone looking for a cozy, well-equipped place to stay with excellent amenities.

The only downside is that the hotel might be challenging for guests who have difficulty climbing stairs, as there is no elevator available.

Amazing location in Bucharest downtown. Wonderful personal, all workers, real professionals, and a really pleasant people. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Real extra is free coffee, tea, and juice per all day. For me, it's very important because I drink 5-6 cups of tea per day. The bad was very comfortable, and the matrass was perfect.

Stairs to the hotel were a little high. You needed to get up to 3 floor. I'm 41 old man, for me it's not a problem. But if you are old or have a little baby, it's an option not for you.

Nothing too fancy, but nothing to complain about either. My room was small, but comfortable enough, and I appreciated the included breakfast. The location is also excellent, it's very central (and surprisingly quiet, in spite of that) and it was only a five minute walk to the metro.

Truth in advertising: you have to go up a lot of stairs to get here. It's not too terrible, but it is worth taking seriously if you have a lot of luggage.
