Safe parking inside property premises, good breakfast, very polite staff, drinks and snacks at the reception (extra charge), outside terrace, close to city center and easy accessible.

The hotel was fantástic. Only one Thing annlys me about booking.com. It not really is possible to Filter the searching-result with "parking included", because very often nevertheless I have to Look in the Streets for a parking or I have to pay extra for a parking (happened so in different countries). Booking.com should offer for example following filters: - free Private Parking included - Private parking possible (Fee) - parking not included (possible in the surroundings)... Here in the case of this hotel I had problems to find a parking in the Streets near the hotel for example.

Parking situation

Location is good for anything within Ploiesti. 15 minutes from major shopping malls. 5 minutes from downtown shops. A good place to stay in Ploiesti.

In the 2 or 3 rooms I've stayed in at The Vigo, the "desk" is a nice piece of furniture. Usually small and with TV on it as well as laptop space. BUT, in my experience there, the chair or stool is ffar too low to make it a comfortable place to sit. Additionally, as is the case in every Ploiesti I've ever stayed in, the shower head is loose and cannot be used as a stand-in type of shower, as many Americans are used to. One has to use the European shower method, which is understandable, but I like to have a choice. Refrigerators at The Vigo were inadequate. Couldn't keep up in any type of summer heat. But even in winter, I don't think they would get one's water actually cold.

Comfortable room, clean and good price.

Although not a problem, the booking was switched from Vigo Grand to the other Vigo Hotel. Aparantly low or no other booked in. I only learned about the change when I was in the taxi coming from the station. Breakfast was a little disappointing. The room phone rang twice in the middle of the night with no one on the other end. Just resolved it by taking phone off the hook.

Everything was amazing. Very good breakfast with many options. The room was exceptionally clean. Toiletries were premium quality, better than all other hotels I have stayed. Very kind and helpful staff. Definitely recommend.

Strange smell from the sink in the bathroom.

I liked the comfy bed, the size of the room, the design.

It was very warm in the room although there wasn't any heating device turned on, the window jammed and I couldn't open it and the shower was clogged, the water drained very slowly.

Location was good. Nice restaurant nearby (Elysium). Bed was good and sheets were clean. It was close to a bus stop.

Annoying perfume/scent sticks in the room. Had to remove them from the room and put them in the bathroom. The bathroom was smelling sewage from the pipes the first night when I used the sink and flushed the toilet. I made the hotel management aware of this and the next day it was much better. Some days some of the new delivered towels smelled “sour”, whilst others were fine. A little lack in consistency. You always want to dry off with a towel with good odeur (no smell). Breakfast was ok, but it was more attempting to go to the nearest small café/coffee shop and buy a really good cafe latte and a fresh pastry.
