The hotel has a unique Saudi aesthetics. The bedding was good. Hotel offers great facilities like cooking space, cinema, meeting rooms etc.

A couple of things to keep in mind - when you stay there for more than a couple of days, you can easily get tired of their breakfasts as they never changed during my 20-days stay. And it’s also very limited. Another thing: the cleaning of the room happens only if you put the sign on the door. Apart from that, all is great!

Everything. The attention to every little detail throughout the hotel transforms a drab apartment building in a typical neighborhood into a living cultural museum. If you care about facilities, there are several unique ones here, especially for families: a game room with air hockey table, foosball table, and video gaming system, a professionally designed cinema room with large projection screen, comfortable seating, soundproofing, and even a popcorn machine, and a small pool and open terrace on the roof. If you care about culture or design, you will love the lobby, rooms, and even the stairs: you are immediately thrown back to historical Jeddah architecture and interior design, fitted together with modern amenities in a way that doesn't look antiquated, tacky or forced. Other, more mundane aspects of the hotel are also great: professional, courteous staff (although the English of some of the front desk staff is very limited), comfortable rooms (supercomfortable beds and pillows), a small, well selected breakfast, and clean, well kept facilities.

Three small, practical adjustments to make the room design more functional. 1) The bathroom sink is too small for toiletries, and especially the tissue box that sits there, getting wet. Simple solution: lower the shelf to the left (to increase the shelf space under the hand soap dispenser) and add a second shelf immediately below it with just enough room to place the tissue box on it. 2) The sliding door to the bathroom has no latch mechanism. 3) The qibla sign on the wall (to tell the direction of prayer) looks stylish but would be more practical on the ceiling since the ceiling is parallel to the floor and the wall is not.

The rooms here are gorgeous, spacious, fully equipped and thoughtfully designed. I loved the industrial/modern feel to each room. The bed was really comfortable, tea and coffee and water was replenished constantly and the room was always cleaned well. Shada also had really nice facilities I used, like the gym which was simple but has everything that you could need for a nice workout. Staff were friendly and helpful. I felt really at home here.

Since I saw the hotel listing on Booking, I loved the design of the room and how traditional and modern it looked. I loved everything about the hotel; the staff, the facilities, and the room. The only thing that I can comment on is the breakfast. It was lower than what I expected.

The breakfast was very limited. No variety at all. It was much better to book the room without breakfast and grab something from outside the hotel.

There could have been more options at breakfast. The air conditioning in the gyms didn't work.

Shada Al Salama Hotel From the moment I entered the lobby, I felt very comfortable. The place is quiet and pleasant, and makes you feel as if you were at home. The hotel is modern but with a touch of traditional style. The room was spacious and well organized. The terrace was nice, with a patio and a small swimming pool. The staff was really super helpful!

You need to take the car to go anywhere (but common problem in all Saudi cities). Breakfast is nice but too expensive for what you get
