Our 4th time here and this time it was for 3 days, not two. Drove In Restaurant called E & E Drive-In just 5 mins down the road towards Brigus. Another female and delicious place to eat was The Quay. Prounounced (The Key). Clarks Beach just 6 mins away. Take a right out the gate from the Cottages and drive for 6 to 8 mins and go see the really Awesome and *ALL Welsome* friendly market called *Some Good Market* and inside that market is Stella's Chocolates OMG!!! Amazing Rum and Butter Bars (From Grand Fall's) and Best Kind Bake Shop (Port De Grave) delicious fresh baked cinnamon knots and stuffed cookies are delicious alongside their cupcakes from heaven! Bakery only goes there on satuday. Saturday the Market is full, lineups if you dont get there by 10am when they open. Get there early to get your Carrot Cake Jam and Pineapple Rhubarb Jams from the owner of the market Laurie LeGrow, and they are so delicious!! There will be many more stays here, god willing! Bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get up! So quiet and peaceful at the fire we had each night with the included firepit. Wood was cheap also at just $10 per large bundle. Everything was spotless inside and outside. The only person doing the cleaning is getting both of her knees replaced so we changed our two garbages for her and put it all in the outside main garbage can on the steps and we did a quick sweep through the floors with the broom and dustpan that was hung inside the cottage before we left to clean up any dog hairs that fell from Lilly, our 85lb Ridgeback. We hope those small gestures help her out a little as she was so pleasant to speak with, even if it was a brief chat we had upon our arrival. It's not hard to be kind to strangers, and in this time in our history, kindness for strangers is sadly going scarce. Being kind isn't hard at all.... We just need to let our personal ego and selfishness take a hike. 😉
We had to leave because our time was up and we didn't want to. Lol

The large deck and hot tub are amazing. The firepit we didn't get to use this time but looked great. The couches are super comfy.
The dryer was so squeaky and loud it was unusable. The bed in the bedroom on the right side is so saggy and uncomfortable that we couldn't sleep and my back flared up the next morning. A king size bed with a better mattress would make a great replacement in that room - we would stay here way more often if that was the case! Some small additions to the kitchen would be nice, for example we didn't have a potato masher. Not necessities but would make a nice addition :)

A very unique accommodation and great location. The cabins were clean while maintaining the unique charm the province is known for.
The one thing I’d say was difficult is we couldn’t find the hours for when the main office opened so we could check out. Though checkout is listed as 10am, we were heading out early and could not locate the office hours so I’d definitely recommend the staff have that listed either on the website or in the cabins to accommodate early morning travellers. Our cabin was also missing one of the tv remotes so we couldn’t watch the TV but since we were only there for the night it wasn’t a big deal.

Enjoyed the hot tub, love that it is protected from the weather but would love if it was totally enclosed on all sides like a gate that could be opened on good nights and closed when it rains or snows. We also enjoyed being able to watch a movie on Netflix when it began to pour outside. The Pod is very nice and cozy inside. This is our second time staying there and will return.
The only thing that we didn't like was when it began to rain very hard with the wind, it was miserable in the hot tub, so we had to get out early. Maybe if it was totally enclosed on all sides, it would have been alot easier to stay in the tub longer.

We loved the coziness of the cabin and that it had a covered private patio for the hot tub area! The cabin was extremely clean and the staff were very friendly! ◡̈
The covered roof over the hot tub could use some fixing as it leaks in when it rains (but it was also really windy the day we stayed so I’m not sure if that had to do with it) The curtains were very see through in the bedroom and the lights over the hot tub wouldn’t turn off at night so the light was constantly shining in making it hard to sleep. The bed was also very hard.

We stayed in a two bedroom, pet friendly cottage. Small kitchen, beds are very comfy. Restaurant, Pool and a pub are on site, you can walk out onto the beach when tide is out ( not swimmable). Market 100m down the street if you forgotten any foods or liquor. Theatre next door that offers cultural events. Close to trails for hiking. Has a E/V charging station
That we didn't stay longer.

Quiet and relaxing. They upgraded us to a hottub pod and it was great! Bed was comfortable just wished it was a kingsize. Had everything we needed. We booked a few nights on our return trip and hope to enjoy the indoor pool and campfire on our way back to St.John’s.
The bbq needs a cleaning.

There was a some trouble with double billing that should have been checked at check in so I wouldn't have had no trouble. Cable was not working properly, other than that it was beautiful.
Make sure if the site is paid for in full or not, it's a inconvenience to try to get it back, also if your traveling with family make sure they are next to each other to enjoy the time together, not far apart..I was nervous being so far away from my brother when I was there.

We actually booked the wrong cabin (purple) but we wanted the blue. We asked if we could change cabins, they checked to see if it was cleaned, due to it being rented the night before, she did confirm that it was indeed cleaned and ready for booking and happily gave that one to us. We had a wonderful night and I enjoyed my mother's day especially soaking in the hot tub.

The cottage itself was wonderful. Clean, comfortable and spacious. It was well equipped. My cottage had a jacuzzi and an electric fireplace which were a bonus. I arrived early and the staff were accommodating with an early check-in. It is 10 minutes to shops in Bay Roberts and access to the Baccalieu Trail drive.
My personal feeling was that the outside was a bit bleak. The whole front was gravel and not very welcoming. The tap water is not safe to drink and must be boiled before use.
