The JAG Hotel was better than we expected. The Rock n Roll music vibe was great. Their attention to detail from the moment we walked into the lobby, our suite and then the restaurant was so interesting and enjoyable. From the coasters with pictures of the great singers of Rock to the notes with chocolate that were left in our room. The artwork displayed in the lobby snd restaurant added to the great vibe. Our suite’s theme was the Rolling Stones. Great music was always playing in the lobby, elevator and in the restaurant. The food in the Exile restaurant was excellent for breakfast and we had dinner there on our last night. The staff were also excellent!!!!! Alex and Daniel in the restaurant and the concierge who gave us advice on our sightseeing. The valet and the housekeeping staff were all so kind. Our suite was so comfortable and clean as well. I would highly recommend the JAG hotel to anyone who is visiting St. John’s. We will be back!!!!

The only thing that I would suggest is to add some brighter lighting in the suites. I understand that the dim lighting and lamps were to add to the ambience but it was difficult at times to find things in our suitcase etc.

Staff were amazing and went out of their way with their customer service to make it an extremely pleasant stay! Restaurant has a nice ambiance and the food was exceptional. Room sizes were large and decorated in Rock music theme. Keurig and mini fridge were nice to have. The snack for purchase were reasonably priced for a hotel. Location was excellent - right across from St John's Convention Centre and on the doorstep of downtown. Again the staff are really amazing and try to go that extra mile for its patrons and in top 3 for customer service of all the places I've ever stayed.

- I arrived very early from an overnight flight and tried to check in quite early (8am) The staff were unable to accommodate but instead of a hard no - they were apologetic and they said they would contact me by cell once my room was ready. I came back to the hotel twice at 10 and noon but to no avail and ended up checking in closer to 230pm. I don't fault them for this as I think things got lost in the shuffle as I had spoken to someone different at the front desk. - the chair in my room is quite worn though the rest of the room isn't an issue and decorated nicely - sound carries in heavily from the hallway corridor (not so much the other rooms).

The adventure began with awesome reception by the valet. Assistance was immediate and welcoming. The check-in was exemplary, all questions were answered and there were no surprises. Guidance on local area was sought at check-in and it was most graciously provided. The room was exceptionally spacious and well cared for by the staff. The extra-large bed and ample pillows were most welcome. The bathroom was well cared for and all was in good order. We attended to breakfast at the on-premises Exile. The meals were amazing, with plenty of everything, including the outstanding service by Chelsea. There were no complaints about breakfast. We then attended to dinner in the evening, and this was spectacular. The food was unbelievably delicious, well prepared, well served and ample. Our server, Daniel, was superb. He was very helpful, knowledgeable and gracious. Nothing to complain about.

The location was perfect. Everything downtown was within a 10 minute walk. The airport is a 10 minute ride. The room was well laid out and the bed was very comfortable; sometimes making it hard to leave the bed in the morning with all of the comfort. The bar and restaurant facilities were top notch and were well staffed. The decor was in line with the rock and roll theme of the hotel and the pieces fit together nicely to match the aesthetic of the venue; nothing was out of place. A great place for a business trip or a getaway.

Going home, but I'll be back. The nightly rate was in line with the area hotels but the service made this hotel a value.

Really nice hotel, location is good and safe. Walked around water street and next to the water was beautiful. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Had issues with tv for 2 nights didn’t get fixed but still usable. Great valet service and service to room if needing clean cups or cutlery. Restaurant in hotel was really good.

Some technical issues staff apologized and didn’t know when it would get fixed but was happy to help as much as possible.

Comfortable, large room. Location was easy walking distance to downtown attractions. Very quiet rooms with music themed decor. Very friendly staff.

Price was high (a problem across much of St. John's). Very limited parking options in the area-and valet only at the hotel, dining room was very expensive. Quite a bit of perfume and other chemicals furnishings- not suitable for anyone with the slightest environmental sensitivities.

The room was very comfortable and large. The air conditioning was also a bonus as St Johns was having a heatwave when we arrived. The little gym was great too. The door people were super friendly. Very close to all the sights of St Johns,

The staff member at check in wasnt super friendly but she seemed honestly a little stressed. We wanted to have breakfast in the restaurant but waited at the entrance for a few minutes and no one came to greet us or sit us. They saw us and made eye contact but never came over. Also there is only valet parking - no free parking unless you chance it on the street.

Modern hotel with eclectic vibe centered about rock & roll music - very unique and interesting. Good restaurant and bar in the lobby. Superb front office and valet staff, well-versed in how to treat customers.

Kind of ouf of the way of the downtown core, but only a short walk. Staff in the bar and restaurant were ok, but didn't match the quality of the hotel and the prices, or the excellent hospitality staff.

Very happy with our room, the decor and ambiance, and the hotel's rock 'n roll theme. The view from our 5th floor room was interesting. We had a bird's-eye view to watch cargo ships in the port being unloaded which was fascinating. The hotel bar was great with good service and plenty of options for beer and mixed drinks. (Didn't order any wine, so no opinion there.) The location is within easy walking distance to an array of pubs, restaurants, and bars on George Street.

No complaints about the hotel or the vicinity. When we stayed, there was construction going on in the neighborhood that made it tough to get to the front doors, but a bit of looping and we made it. Looks like that should be finished fairly soon and it wouldn't stop me from staying there again. Our first stay we lucked into free parking across the street and went with that. For our second stay, the free parking was full, so we just used the valet and that was perfect.

The room was great, although the lights were a little dim. The food was fantastic. The servers were knowledgeable and very friendly. Valet service was extremely quick and friendly. Can't say enough good stuff.

If I were on a working stay, the dim lighting might have been a problem, but since we were on vacation, I can't imagine anything they could improve on.
