The staff! Jules and Patrick were fantastic as well as the gentleman on reception but didn’t get his name. The hotel dates back to 1959 and it felt very cosy sat eating the delicious fondue, drinking wine, watch the snow coming down outside! A lovely stay and will definitely come back here again. The COG railway was literally 2 minutes away and a novelty ride to and from the centre of Montreaux plus it’s free if staying at the hotel.

Coucou is the perfect mountain experience. It is such a gorgeous chalet and the cog train is a must as so scenic and fun way to arrive. We arrived for lunch and the fondue was superb and the service excellent in the restaurant by all the staff,especially Jordan. He was friendly and very helpful but so professional too. It was absolutely magical as it started to snow and then continued all night so we woke to a winter wonderland.Dinner was also perfect and the 2 open fires add to the atmosphere, breakfast too was great and included excellent coffee. The best we experienced in our travels. This is a great addition to any stay in Montreux as so easy from the train station.

Unfortunately our room was not what we had expected. I chose the lake view and it was very expensive in comparison to shared facilities however it was small and had no balcony. The view was lovely and it included a bathtub so we were happy however try and be specific. Room 7 is not great as you also hear the hand dryer from the bathroom below. Luckily this was only till about 10 pm and not at all in the morning. I would try for a top floor room and mountain view rooms looked amazing and large too. I would still recommend CouCou every time as a superb and unique getaway.

We had an absolute great stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful in all regards. Our room had an amazing view of lake Geneva and Montreux. The front of the hotel you could the fog rising from the forests and covering Mt. Rochers de Naye and when it clears up - simply unbelievable. The train station is only a few paces from the hotel, which can take you directly up to the mountain peak (hiking to the top takes a while, but the views are worth it) or down to Montreux itself. Breakfast was great, but the evening meal was five star!! It was the perfect way to celebrate out 30th wedding anniversary. (They even played our song!!) Truly a magical getaway.

If I must name one thing, it would be that the hallway to our room, if you didn't hit the light switch, was extremely dark.

Incredible hospitable staff, great breakfast options, cozy living area with a fireplace, lovely and clean rooms. Will definitely be back! Well exceeded our expectations!

We had an amazing stay at Le Coucou Hotel. It is beautifully located in the mountains arount Montreux, on the way to Rochers de Naye, offering a spectacular view to the lake. The hotel itself was very cozy, warm and the stuff very helpful. Most rooms come with shared bathroom but there was a sink in our room. For us it was not a problem but keep that in mind if you need a bathroom in the room. The breakfast was great with a variety of salty and sweet options and the restaurant very good! Totally recomment it and we will for sure visit it again!

Very friendly and helpful staff who speak very good English. The location is exceptional, and very close to the cog railway (free with the travel pass issued by the hotel) which takes you to Montreux or up to the top of the mountain. Free parking at the hotel. The views from the terrace are stunning. The restaurant on site has an extensive menu, including a vegetarian option.

It clearly states that some rooms have shared facilities. This is true. It is inconvenient but is expected.

Location is just out of the world. Fantastic!

The meal at the restaurant was lovely but the lady taking our order was a bit rude. She pushed us to order one mains per person and we as asians share our food as we dont have that much appetite. We planned to have 3 meals for 4 of us but she refused to give the fourth plate stating that the fourth person wont be eating thats why we order 3 meals vs. 4. This is not how you do business woman!

The location (can be icy during winter but the view is spectacular); the dimensions of the room; the restaurant in place; the staff that promptly resolved a problem encountered at check-in.

The rooms are not insulated, so you can hear what happens in the nearby rooms. There is no tv in the room. The price of the dinner was a bit expensive to me, but I am also aware that prices in switzerland are not comparable to prices in nearby countries.

The hotel itself was beautiful, in a great location up in the mountains. You get given a Riveria travel card which allows you to get the train from Haut de Caux (Where the hotel is) to Montreux. The views from the room were amazing and the breakfast was simple but great. We ate at the restaurant on the first night which was incredible, some of the best food we have tasted! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or stay here again.

Had the most amazing night at Le Cou Cou! Wonderful staff, great food, the dreamiest desserts! Room was great, the location is fantastic and it really feels like paradise up there! Very dog friendly too, which was perfect as I was travelling with my little buddy.

The only downside was the shower not being upright so it was difficult to wash properly because I had to hold the shower head! But that didn’t ruin an otherwise incredible stay :)
