The underground car park is very good and secure . The rooms are fairly clean with good view of Lake Geneva. The mini bar selection is very good . Lots of complementary coffee and juices within reception . The gym is fairly small but has all you need. The sauna and steam room a plus . The indoor dining is sufficient . Improvement to have more selection in the menu . 3-5 options is not enough .

They just need to be a little more thorough on the cleaning in rooms and smell of dust . Therefore I left the windows open for circulation of air . The bathroom chrome finishing on bath tub is rusted and should be replaced . The hotel is under refurbishment so the swimming pool and hot tub and rooms still not finished . I guess the hotel is making the effort to modernise . Therefore I am looking forward to come back again and see the improvement .

I travelled around Lac Leman last autumn. I did not expect a brutalist waterfront tower in Montreux to be the best hotel on my entire trip. And yet it was. Where to even start. It was extremely easy to find, rising above nearly all the buildings in the city. Hotel staff were very kind, spoke multiple languages (even Portuguese and Dutch, call me surprised), and had all the time in the world to explain things about the hotel and city. The moment another guest arrived, a receptionist magically spawned from a backdoor near the entrance, making sure guests never had to wait. The elevators have a retro vibe, with folding inner doors, but at the same time are completely modern and fast. If you aren't too high up it is also recommended to try the spiral staircase. The rooms themselves are gorgeous. We paid more for the privilege room, but it was worth it. The balcony has full lake view, and is shielded from the wind. The bathroom isn't large but has all the amenities you need. The beds are extremely comfortable, neither too soft nor too hard. The carpet is also clean. But what won me over was the breakfast. It wasn't cheap compared to other hotels I stayed at, but it was worth every penny in sheer abundance. The breakfast area is also pretty nice, with windows overlooking the lake. I have no doubt dinner at the hotel is also great, but I am someone who prefers to try the local backstreet cuisine.

They do advertise with a hot-tub outside on the property. However, don't expect anything, because any vision of a luxurious hotel hot-tub will just leave you disappointed. If you like chilling in water, the lac Leman is a much better option. Finally, and this is not really a negative, but it is important to note in light of my positive review: Mona is not cheap. You get more than you pay for, that is completely true. But you will pay a pretty penny.

Amazing Stay in Montreux! Our stay at this hotel was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, the staff provided exceptional service and made us feel so welcome. The rooms were spotless, beautifully maintained, and offered every comfort we could ask for. The highlight of our stay was the mesmerizing view from our room – truly breathtaking and worth every penny. To top it all off, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, which made our experience even more special. If you're looking for a perfect stay in Montreux, this is the place to be. Highly recommend it and can't wait to return!

The location of this hotel is perfect....close to train station and equally close to nearby attractions. Lobby area was clean and expansive for the area. The view of the Swiss Alps is just spectacular and breathtaking. Our room was very nice and even came with a small balcony, perfect for some sitting down with a drink and admiring the view of the Alps and beautiful Lake Geneva. Nicky at the front desk made the check-in process quite smooth and expedient. Plus he gave us some advice on restaurants and places to go....definitely an asset to his profession. Safran restaurant located at hotel was absolutely great....food choices was superb. Would highly recommend this 4 star hotel !!!

no complaints whatsoever

The hotel staff and at the reception were remarkable. The location is in one of the best spot in Montreux, on the lake side.

Staff at the restaurant and bar on the underground level are not professional, lack courtesy and refused to work and serve at 20:30 O'clock on a Friday evening, while they were asked to by their colleagues from the hotel reception. The team should be replaced, this restaurant and bar have great potential but with right personnel to run it. Chairs and tables were not clean. To be seriously improved.

Here’s the translation to English: "A simple 'thank you' is not enough for the reception staff, whose warm hearts made my stay more than exceptional from the moment I entered to the moment I left. They truly made my experience special. The hotel facilities are beautiful and very comfortable, filled with positive energy, making you feel at home.

‏However, regarding cleanliness, unfortunately, the room was not cleaned properly, and there was also no attention given to cleaning the coffee cups."

This hotel is superbe.Location, comfort and quality of its services are really top. We visited for ChristmasMarket and Mona location is unique. You are in the middle of the action. Our room was clean, new with amazing lake view. Temperature in room was ok and you can set as you like . We enjoyed the parking. it was very convenient after snow day at market . Snacks as popcorn and candies are available for guests as well as some hot drinks. The staff was nice and respectfull. We had dinner at their restaurant,a glass tube where they set tables .We had cheese fondue but the dinner wasen't so good neither the service . I reccomand this hotel during winter ChristmasMarket in Montreux.

Lifts are lazy and too few for a big building

I really enjoyed my stay. The location is superb and the staff are friendly. Very near to the train and bus station. The minibars items are free and there is free popcorn and drinks all time at the lobby. I’ve done early check in and late check out without extra fees which is very kind from the staff. I wish I stayed longer and I’d like to come again every year.

I’ve just have few comments; the stairs at the entrance make it hard to pull our luggages and we have to carry them, the breakfast is very expensive 30CHF, the rooms are smelly so I think there’s a need for fixation of this problem and to add air fresheners, otherwise everything is perfect

Hotel Mona is in a great location: 3-5 minutes from train station, escalator and elevator are available on the street close to the hotel was helpful to avoid carrying luggage up/down many steep stairs, one-minute walk to shops. Located right on the lake promenade/waterfront. Beautiful views from our panoramic room! Outdoor hot tub on a spacious sun deck with beautiful view of the water. Complementary self-serve water, juice, coffee and popcorn. Friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast area was large and looked lovely, however, we did not pay extra for this option.

That we had to leave!! We arrived one day after the Montreux Jazz Festival ended; next time we will stay here during the festival as it is perfectly located right in the action!

Overall, it is a great experience: - The hotel is wonderfully located, very central, and our room had an amazing view. - The hotel provides a free public transportation card (with additional discounts for several points of attraction) making the trip more enjoyable. - Mini bar is free, and we got a bottle of regional white wine + chocolate + coffee in the room. There is also free coffee available in the lobby room. - The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. - Breakfast was pretty nice. - Although I didn't use it much, the Bluetooth speaker in the room was a nice touch.

A couple of minor issues only: - The room's balcony had an unpleasant smell. I assume either the pipes that are really out there or the air conditioning hole on the wall caused it. Despite the magnificent view, it was not easy to spend time on the balcony. - Gym looked fine, but the wellness area was pretty basic. - Underground garage is a bit hidden. Some signs would be useful.
