Everywhere was clean and beautifully decorated. Especially the lovely bar and restaurant. The food is amazing. Coffee is pretty good. I made full use of the spa. Super friendly staff. I left my sunglasses and phone charger and Anna has gone out of her way to let me know that she has them and they’re sending on to me this week. I have stayed here before many years ago and it’s even better now. Will be back for one of their 90s party nights with a friend 🤩

One of the receptionist was a bit grumpy but literally everyone else was friendly, matured and understands good customer service.

Its an old Hotel and a little dated, however that became part of the charm!! But to be honest what made our mini break amazing was the staff!!! A real credit to your hotel!!! They couldn't do enough to make our stay amazing! From walking in to the reception for the first time and being greated with a genuine smile and welcome by the reception team to the bar /waitress lady who was just as welcoming! To the fitness center staff being just as amazing with Steven going over and above to make our stay brilliant!!! Even the house keeping team greated us with a friendly and enthusiastic " good morning " as we passed them in the corridor. Will definitely be back !!!!

The staff at the front desk were really friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and the bathroom seemed very clean to me. The stay included access to the swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna which made it a really good deal. Would stay again on that basis!

The walls seemed quite thin as I could hear the guests next door a lot - it didn’t seem a particularly busy night for the hotel so I would suggest booking people into rooms that aren’t next to each other when possible. The hotel is quite dated in its decor (room very brown!) but it was clean, staff were friendly and pool etc was great. Noise was main issue but would take earplugs or ask for a more isolated room if possible I guess.

Standard double room was spacious . Friendly staff , receptionist was a very pleasant and helpful . At the restaurant 12oz short rib dish was terrific and to die for . Scrambled eggs on monday morning one of best i have tasted . Big compliments to the chef Gym well equiped

Mon-fri during breakfast you need to order eggs , and when asked for additional portion , seems like there was an issue as staff member went to ask for chef rather just do it as there should not be limited to single plate . Sauna was out of order over weekend , one of hinged came loose and small thing wasnt fixed for 2 days

Rooms were well decorated and clean, bathroom more than adequate, could have done with better access to electric sockets for kettle and hairdryer. Went to a Saturday night function where the food was quite good, breakfast was very good and the overall ambience in the hotel was very good

Top price drinks but not served well, we had quite a number of gin and tonics and I don’t think there was two matching gin glasses in the building! Presentation of gin and tonics not good with slices of lemon instead of wedges of lime. Had hot sandwiches in the bar on arrival and one was supposed to be hot beef but it wasn’t and was on different bread from advertised. Wine choice was woeful.

We had a suite and it was exceptional, the bed was extremely comfortable along with the option of choosing what kind of pillow you wanted, there was a huge bath which was lovely and plenty of options for tea & coffee in the room. The staff were all lovely as well as all the local people we encountered, we ordered room service which was beautiful & lovely and hot. Will absolutely be back for another stay.

Nothing we didn’t like, as a whole it could do with some TLC but it’s an old building so it’s what you’d expect but the I can’t fault our experience it was beautiful.

Lovely hotel with pool and spa facilities . We’ve been here lots of times and it’s our ‘go to’ place when wanting a couple of days R&R

There was a party going on in a room downstairs and i had to call reception at 11pm as the noise from the disco stopped us getting to sleep ( we were in 201). The receptionist said he would go & close the windows in that room , which did make a slight difference. The music stopped tho at 12. I would have expected to be given a room on the far side if not a guest of the party.

check in was efficient, directions to the room were a little complex, staff obviously know where all rooms are located but i did not. There is a lift and stairs for access to all floors. Room modern and clean and well laid out. Beds and pillows too hard so not such a comfy sleep. Good ambient temperature in the room. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold foods, toasts, pastries, juices, teas and coffees. Staff in the breakfast room were exceptional, so friendly and helpful and took pride in their jobs. Checkout easy and quick.

The beds and pillows were too hard. I'm sure i could have asked for softer pillows now i think about it but i arrived late in the evening and was too tired.

The spa facilities were very good. The room was comfortable and the breakfast produce was excellent.

Would have been nice to have more sachets of coffee in the room ans also a fridge with fresh milk. The breakfast was great but we had to ask for cutlery which I felt was poor as it should have been given yo is when we got there. If the waitress had apologised when she gave me the cutlery for it not being on the table then there would nit have been a problem. Saying "sorry about that" would have made the difference.

I liked the setting of the hotel, it wasn't too far from the main roads (a matter of minutes) and easy to find despite being in a pleasantl quiet location. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout. Once on-site there was plent of car parking and it was level ground between the carpark and hotel reception. My room was nice and had all of the expected facilities. I was at the end of a main corridor but had no issue wih noise. Enjoying my evening meal on the terrace as the sun set on a summer evening was a highlight of my trip; the food was very good and very fairly priced. The buffet breakfast was pretty standard hotel fare, but there was plenty of choice and I have nothing negative to say about it. I didn't use the leisure facilities so it wouldn't be fair to offer any comment on those, I was however advised of them upon arrival. I don't think I booked as part of any promotion so good value overall, I'd say.

I did find myself thinking that the drinks seemed on the expensive side, although I would also have to say that it was offset by the good value of the accomodation itself.
