The kids club is great and the egg hoppers at breakfast were unparalleled. The pool area is also excellent for families.

A lot of the grounds are poorly maintained. I got the feeling that standards may have slipped over time, possibly as a result of the pandemic, economic challenges and the fact that this is a huge property. It often felt as though there weren’t enough staff to fulfil guests’ demands. The staff also weren’t as organised or as service orientated as many of the other properties we stayed in during our trip.

Rooms were nice and the sports bar was good. Staff were friendly.

The grounds were poorly maintained. Mud everywhere. Need more ground workers as it made the hotel seem unkept. Lift wasn’t working correctly. It’s a lot of money to stay there, if there are faults they should be fixed.

The hotel is the only nice place in the area. The closets thing to do or see is 1:30 mins away by car which wasn't very convenient for a short stay.

Fabulous hotel. Super service orientated staff. Very trustworthy room service cleaner. Food was excellent. Overall super experience. Names to note: Lakshan (lifeguard) Charuka (table service) Uditha (Director of Food and Beverage), Nissanka (restaurant manager),Ramish (for his chai mosala), Milan from the golf club. To name a few….! All superb. They delivered a surprise everyday. Unbelievable. Thank you

Awesome resort with excellent amenities and great views. We went there during our holiday in Sri Lanka to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary.The rooms were lovely and we were treated to a complimentary anniversary cake. Check in and check out was smooth with no struggle. Just love the fact that they have a separate adult pool. The breakfast and dinner buffets were awesome with a good variety of options/dishes. The Sri Lankan food for breakfast and dinner was authentic and exceptional in taste. I will definitely be going back to try more. The staff at Gimanhla Lounge (Pasindu-Akila) were friendly and helpful. The usher staff at the Bozunhala restaurant were also welcoming and hospitable. Praise employees for their environmental sustainability efforts.

1). Noticed some mold growth in the bathtub and toilets. The bathtub was not very clean either. 2). Overall, the service at Bojunhala was good and completely understand how busy it can be. However, we didn’t get the best service in terms of getting water and finger bowls. We even had to wait after asking the staff (one man in particular) which was really frustrating.

Huge and nice territory, many places to walk or relax. The best AC in the room from all seen: silent and effective. Staff is exceptionally helpfull. Rooms,decoration,beds are comfortable and spotless.

Bad experience with the booking processt,staff doesn't know the system and declines the request (!) instead of consulting with senior manager .Mr.Kumar completed reservation in 3 minutes but it took 4 days of useless negotiations with reservation desk. There were no info on the website that spa,yoga,etc. were not available. Insufficient umbrellas on the beach,sunbeds were very close to each other though the space is huge. This is Shangrila hotel to relax, no need loud annoying music every morning! . Had to call every day asking to reduce volume.

We never expected personalized customer care from a hotel chain at this level. Staff at restaurants, pool, garden, beach, front deck etc. were exceptional. Main restaurant chef Kumara, supervisor Madhu, and restaurant support staff Senaka wanted to make sure were were happy and provided with extra care all the time for every meal, this was a unique experience and thank for the service and Kudos for the hotel management. Similarly housekeeping staff, Suraj wanted to make sure that we were happy and provided everything at the room beyond expectations, he made a nice alligator on the floor with towels to keep us surprised!!

Stayed 2 nights, should have stayed more! Phenomenonal experience, service, facilities, rooms, etc were all perfect. Brilliant hotel with good security, beautiful views and multiple restaurants. The chef even came out to discuss our order. All the staff were friendly and very accommodating. Plenty of activities and family friendly.

There are some small signs of wear and tear within the rooms, ie loose door handles and some marks on the tablecloths in the main hall. Those are tiny issues which don't make a dent in the impeccable performance overall.
