I often read reviews and see people talking so lively about the staff. I don't usually interact that much with the hotel staff as to write about them, but I do have to mention the staff at this hotel, especially Kiersten! I mean, I still did not interact that much, but every time we were coming down the lobby, someone was wishing us a good day or asking us if we needed anything! And it wasn't the invasive way, just simple professionalism and politeness. It was such a lovely experience. I know for sure we'll repeat when in Solvang again. Thank you!!!!!

For some reason, I got the impression that there would be smores and I haven't seen any :)

The staff were friendly, outgoing and helpful. I liked the spaciousness of our room, the decoration, layout, and amenities. Our bed was comfortable and clean. I liked the pillows a lot too. We had a nice view. The curtains were great at blacking out light. I really liked the privacy button that is at the front door. The hotel had fantastic art and fixtures: One of the reasons I picked it. Wall to wall noise was not noticeable.

Our room made a weird creaking, chirping sound in the middle of the night. I could hear the upstairs neighbors walking around, the drain to the tub was disassembled before we used it, the shower glass connector looks like it’s going to fall off and would rattle a lot when opening or closing the shower door. There’s no wastebasket near the toilet for feminine hygiene products. There is a night light that we could not shut off located under the nightstand, as someone who cannot sleep with lights on, it was a little frustrating.

I liked everything, location, design, h24 reception.

Staff. We had a payment issue, and nobody could tell me how it will work. First employer that was assisting us was new, that is okey. However, I didn’t like his supervisor attitude. We spent 1h to do our check-in, when it should take 5min. Staff definitely need to be trained on how transactions between booking the hotel and the banks work, not just “guessing” how it would work.

Hotel Corque was much more than we expected during our one night stay. We were traveling down the coast of California and deciding on a stay between Big Sur and and LA and were so surprised. The hotel was beautiful and staff so gracious. We had no idea that the town was also so lovely and celebrated Danish style and flare (both with architecture, theme, and dining). They even had a celebrated Hans Cristian Anderson. It was so enjoyable. A diamand in the ruff and exceeded our expectations. I would love to visit again if we make it to California on a future visit! Hotel Corque would be my choice to stay for sure.

Quick one night stay. The customer service (both Rafael & Ashley) was outstanding! They were very accommodating, and it was greatly appreciated. The room (336) was clean, quiet, with a comfortable bed, nice big bathroom and the room had a nice balcony and a view of the beautiful hillsides in the distance. The wine station in the lobby was clever and has a very good assortment of local wines. We also loved the pool! Good sized clean pool and hot tub area, clean towels and nice outdoor furniture and umbrellas. Thank you!

Just one thing - The jets/bubbles for the hot tub were not working, but it wasn't a big deal.

Our room was very spacious. Our room was very quiet. Our room was very clean. The staff was helpful. We liked the location of the hotel. We were happy there was parking at the hotel. The Christmas decorations were really beautiful.

I was totally unhappy with the fact that the hot tub was not working. This is the second time I have come here only to find out that the hot tub is out of order! One of the reasons I booked the Corque was to use their beautiful heated pool and hot tub. I also was disappointed that the "wine vending machine" was not working. That is something that is really fun when you stay at the Corque. I also was dismayed that there were no soda vending machines at the hotel according to the front desk. So, while the room is great, the rest was lacking what was promised.

Location of the hotel is very near the main area of Solvang but off to a quieter side. The hotel doesn't have it's own restaurant attached, but an associated one next to it, which was probably the best restaurant we ate at in Solvang. Lobby has a self serve wine machine which was expensive but nice.

Breakfast not included, as there is no restaurant in the hotel and restaurant doesn't open till 11am. Would be nice if the lobby area had a coffee and tea station in addition to wine for purchase.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! The location of the hotel was fantastic; we parked our car and everywhere was within walking distance! There is ample space for parking. The lobby was beautifully decorated with Christmas AND Hanukkah decor. There was even a mini fireplace and snacks by the front desk. The staff member that helped check us in was very friendly and recommended a few places for wine tastings - and those were complimentary just for staying at the hotel! :) The check-in process was quick and efficient. Before we walked in to our room, the room number listed on the side wall panel had a little button for a doorbell - that was super cute! After we walked inside, we were all so happy with how spacious the room is - with the two queen beds, and the size of the bathroom! The lights in the room were so fancy, there were only a couple ceiling lights and the other lights were all different and unique. There was also a mini fridge in the room and there were extra pillows and blankets in the closet with an ironing board and two very comfortable towel/robes. The bathroom shelves for the towels was very nice and had a beautiful, cozy, ambient lighting underneath. There was also a nice Keurig coffee machine with unique flavors of coffee and the cups were compostable! We also took advantage of the heated pool AND jacuzzi! There was a beautiful blue light that decorated the gate and there was ample seating by the poolside too. We will definitely be back!

We loved everything about this hotel. It’s very close to everything in town. There is a lot of parking. The decor is very nice and there’s a fireplace in the lobby. The staff was exceptional! Everyone who works there is so sweet and goes above and beyond especially Manny. Manny brought us popsicles and water out to the jacuzzi late at night which was unexpected. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was clean. We will definitely stay here again!

There was nothing that we didn’t like

We loved how well built the hotel was - no outside or neighbor noises bothering us, the rooms were spacious and the bathrooms had a his/hers sink which was great. There was everything you'd need. It was on a quiet street but still very central to Solvang. Would definitely stay here again on our next visit!

The lady who checked us in was a bit odd. When we asked if we could have a room not facing the pool (for pool pump noise purposes) she said we'd have to pay for a whole new room instead of just adjusting the rate. She was a bit off, but not mean. Small improvements that could be made: the body wash was slimy and the fridge was loud but thankfully we were able to turn it off.
