What a fantastic find this was in the lovely city of Lille . The room is one of two that are let out in this fabulous house which has been refurbished to a very high standard by the owner who has great taste and eye for detail The bedroom is on the corner and overlooks the main street but no issues of noise for us and let’s face it you are in the city anyway . The bathroom is huge with a bath , walk in shower and his/ hers basins . The weather was cold but the room was always kept at a lovely temperature for us The accommodation is close to the centre , local parks and we found some lovely bars, cafes and restaurants. If you fancy the walk from the Eurostar station it’s about 20 minutes . Veronique is a lovely host , very helpful with advice about what to see and do . She offers amasing breakfast with fresh bread , pastries and fresh fruit We would definitely go back to Au Cœur De Lille and would highly recommend . Lille is a lovely city and we had a great 4 days there

Veronique was so kind and allowed us to check in a little early as we had to drop off our rental car and had a lot of luggage. The room was so beautifully decorated and spacious and we even had an extra bedroom if we wanted it. The bathroom was huge and the shower great. A fridge was in the room and an electric jug allowed us to make tea which was appreciated. The breakfast was wonderful, lovely fresh fruit and cereal and yoghurt then a lovely variety of bread ,pastries , cheeses and preserves. We were able to walk to restaurants not far away.

Stairs were very steep but Veronique very kindly helped with our bags.

Property is very tastefully decorated. Bed super comfortable- after few hundreds of kilometers on a motorbike we were well rested. Bathroom was fantastic, very spacious, beautifully designed. Location very close to the centre. The host Veronique was amazing, very helpful and understanding. Breakfast was superb, my husband prefers English breakfast over everything but even he enjoyed the French baked goods, cheese and jams. The place left such a good impression on us that if we ever will be coming back this way- we will choose to stay here.

We were in Lille for the olympics. This Beautiful old house is within a short walk of the town, also short walk to the metro. Fabulous breakfast served by the host veronique. She is very friendly and nothing is a problem. We had two adjoining rooms with our son which had a lovely modern bathroom. We would love to go back to Lille and would definitely stay at this residence again.

Nothing. The stairs is steep so may be a problem for someone with mobility issues but we were fine with it

The hostess was friendly and helpful. Communication prior to arrival was excellent. There was a huge spread for breakfast: a great variety of bread and pastries, cereals, cheese, cups of fruits, yogurt, fresh orange juice, coffee and tea, etc. All very good quality. You won't leave the table hungry. The room was comfortable and well furnished. The bathroom was very clean with plenty of towels.

There is nothing we didn't like. If we have to name one thing, perhaps having some extra sockets to plug in the electronics would be helpful.

A Perfect location in the centre of the old town, beautifully decorated and with every comfort. Our hostess was charming and helpful in every way. We loved our elegant breakfast and to be staying in a traditional French town house. It was ideal to walk to the Zenith venue for our concert and to explore the old town the next morning.

Comfortable room with large, modern bathroom in beautiful old townhouse. The host, Veronique, was very hospitable, friendly and helpful with local info. Delicious Continental breakfast with homemade produce. Excellent location: within easy walking distance of Grand Place, Palais des Beaux Arts, Lille Zoo, restaurants and shops.

Utterly stunning - a little gem in Lille. Room was very big, light and cosy. The bathroom HUGE with a stand alone bath, 2 sinks and a big shower. Location perfect for wandering around, close to the shops and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent. I adored this place and will go back to Lille just to stay here again.

I would have loved the option for breakfast to be delivered to the room. Thats hardly a negative.

If you are fortunate enough to secure a room at this quaint little hotel, you won’t be disappointed. The location was very central, the room was absolutely stunning! Veronique was the best host and served up the most delicious continental breakfast. We only wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely return.

Very nice location in centre of Lille, walking distance from main locations, still quiet street. Very kind and welcoming host makes you feel like at home. Tasty breakfast. Need nothing more 😉

Rooms accessible only by steep stairs - need to be careful when climbing with a suitcase, but that is natural for old buildings
