My call the day (or 2) before arrival requesting early entry by one hour was received by a man who stated he would note the request in the register, and they would do their best to accommodate our request. I explained we had a 5pm wedding, and 4pm checkin was too tight to shower, dress and drive...). When we arrived, we were told there was no evidence of any request, and 4pm was checkin time: no room change or housekeeping change was possible. We got into the room at 4, and were late to the wedding, Accommodations were fine; customer service and therefore public relations, failed badly.
Internal communication!

The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There were many accessible outlets, particularly on the nightstand, which made it easy to hook up my cpap machine. It seemed to be a historical location and the Inn was cute and quaint. We took an evening walk before bedtime. We each took hot showers before bed that felt wonderful and relaxing. The front desk staff were kind and helpful. Dana explained things well and was very polite. We stayed in Room 12 on the lower level. It was a great queen room -- just what we needed after a long drive. I was glad I didn't need to carry my bags upstairs since I have bad knees. Thank you Sonoma Creek Inn! We would definitely stay there again!
I can't think of anything I didn't like.

I loved it that I had a walled private patio outside my room. The kitschy lampshades featuring local history are charming. The room was clean and comfortable, with refrigerator and an easy-to-operate coffee machine. The office staff and the staffer on the emergency hotline were very courteous. Parking was easy and close to the room. The guidance said to call for late checkout after 6 and I'm very glad I did. The process with the "late" arrival and "early" checkout with the late arrival lock box was quite elaborate. I had to use it five times so I got better with it. The office manager I spoke to was very friendly; ditto the woman staffing the emergency line.
6 p.m. is not "late" checkin by my usual standards, nor is before 9 a.m. "early" checkout except in this little inn. The late arrival box was hard for me to master but fortunately I did have a number to call. More alarming, it spit out the card keys to another room the first time I used it and I failed to notice.

I booked this inn at the last minute after being on the receiving end of a bait-and-switch at another inn, but I'm so happy I ended up at Sonoma Creek Inn. The room was the perfect size, very clean, very private, quiet, and exactly what it was advertised to be. The icing on the cake was the staff member who checked us in. This employee was warm, welcoming, and very helpful. I would absolutely come back, and I strongly recommend this inn above others in the area. They don't serve breakfast here, but there is a cafe attached to (but independent from) the inn, and the food was excellent. Overall, I am very satisfied with every aspect of my stay.

We were only there one night for my husbands birthday...big 75! The staff could not have been nicer! The location is great and fantastic value for the area. Not much in the way of amenities but not needed as there's so much to do close by. Small and quaint and the cafe next door is amazing!
Well...Would have been nice to have...Free in room massage with Mumm champagne? Just kidding. Loved it all. The little sitting area outside is lovely for enjoying a glass of bubbles!

I liked the convenience and affordability of the property. My fiancè and I were in town for a wedding at the Viansa Winery and this was the perfect accommodation for our needs. It was nice having the Creekside Cafe next door to walk to for breakfast each morning!
The wifi wasn't working on our phones of computers so we were unable to use the hotel room as a working space. Luckily we have hot spots and were able to connect on our cells.

A quaint and charming old inn updated nicely. It’s in a quiet residential neighborhood but easy driving distance to central Sonoma and more wineries than you could ever hope to visit. The staff was friendly, attentive and on the ball. It’s not a “resort” but a nice comfortable place for a good price.
Occasional traffic noise, but it was never truly bad.

Very quaint, especially liked the little enclosed patio at the back of the unit. Unit was clean and bathroom was spacious. Ruth at check-in was a fountain of information, recommending wineries and restaurants. The cafe around the corner from our rooms was great for breakfast - we ate there 3 days in a row!
Patios were separated from an adjoining street by a tall block wall, so the traffic noise was loud at times. Inside the room was fine. Had to keep signing in to wi-fi.

overall, Sonoma Creek Inn was quaint and generally satisfied. bathroom was generous size. location was in nice neighborhood but the street could be noisy at times. Cafe next door was great! nice to be able to park close to room.
The pre-check in online was fine but it still took 35 minutes (my husband timed because he was waiting in the car) in person to go thru in person check in. Much too over thought and tiresome! and they did not have any local maps area maps to give out. The outdoor patio was a nic touch, but why have an outdoor fountain if it’s not functional. Inn is missing attention to some details that would/could make this a better accommodation and experience.

I felt this motel was very good value for money in an expensive area for accommodation, with very friendly and helpful staff. Although a little tired it's nice and bright, clean and well placed for the Sonoma area, the breakfast diner next door is really handy, the bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
Our next door neighbour who smoked on his patio all day, the fridge and coffee maker was in the bathroom is a little odd which doesn't seem very hygienic.
