The staff are friendly and efficient. We were checked in by a member of staff quickly and efficiently. The bar was extremely busy, but nobody seemed to wait very long before being served. The room we stayed in was excellent, and it cost next to nothing, bearing in mind the facilities. The room was very clean and had everything you needed; a colour TV, free tea & coffee, a hair dryer, fan, etc, on suit facilities, comfy bedding, and it was cosily warm. You also get a free grab and go style breakfast, which was a very welcome. We stayed at the Flowerpot as we were watching a band at the venue. If you are doing likewise, I would highly recommend this accommodation. It is also a good base if your having a night out in Derby.
Nothing, my wife and I loved the Flowerpot.

Really great place, stayed here for work. Wasn’t sure where to stay at first and was suggested a travel lodge or premier inn, but I prefer somewhere more homely. Found this little independent treat that is right next to a great pub offering craft ales! Rooms are lovely and clean, complimentary tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate and a kettle in the room with biscuits, which is daily replenished. Also nice complementary soap and shower gel / shampoo. Very surprised at how comfy the bed and pillows are, the bed was probably the most comfortable bed I’ve slept on other than my own! The memory foam pillow or down like fill is a nice touch too! Then they have the kitchenette which has a microwave, toaster and 2 fridges. Which are free for use for guests. Daily replenished cereals, croissants, butter, jams, Nutella and cereal bars ensure you have enough to keep you going for breakfast. All in all I was very happy with my stay and will be returning here whenever I have to come up to Derby for work. Thanks all!

The location. The convenience. The price. The friendly staff. The ambiance. I also liked that, although there was no ‘set’ breakfast, there was a little ‘kitchenette’ where you could help yourself to cereals, toast with jams, breakfast bars, etc. You then took this back to your room which was great. Tea and coffee facilities were in the room with a kettle which was also fab.
We were in the very top floor room, and I suspect that because it was a very warm day the room did get very, very hot (warm air rising). It was much cooler in the corridors so I propped our room door open to help ventilate. There was also a fan in the room which helped.

Booking and check-in information was simple. Car park next door made access a doddle. Nice welcome from bar staff who showed us up to our room. Spacious, clean comfortable room. Basic breakfast requirements in the shared kitchenette suited us perfecly. The Flowerpot is a great real ale pub in a perfect location for vehicle access and then for an easy, short stroll to City Centre facilities.. We used to come here for live music gigs some years ago when we lived in the city but hadn't realised they had started catering for visitors. Infinitely more character than your standard budget hotel.
Nothing.

We had the superior double room which had plenty of space, the bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well, the breakfast items that were on offer to us were excellant, all staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Wifi was advertised on booking information but it was virtually non existant in our room to access it, not sure if this cause of weak signal but I could see this being a problem for some guests if Wifi was important to them. Also we were attending the music event in the evening, we did think at times the bar in the music room needed more than one member of staff, the bar staff in the main pub bar were working really hard as it was very busy.

The location close to the Cathedral Quarter and the very secure multi storey car park were very good. Room very clean as was the bathroom and shower. Spotless. Very good nights sleep. The breakfast was a handy one - help yourself to cereals, etc was great as I had a very early start the next day. The Flowerpot was warm and welcoming with friendly staff. An excellent array of of high quality ales, lagers, etc in the smart bar. Would definitely stay here again as I missed the curry night and music.

Fantastic clean comfy room , spacious and everything you need for a night away , went to see miles hunt in the flower pot pub which is 2 metres away , all staff very friendly, Scott showed us to our room and remembers our drinks everytime , parking is a minute walk away in a secure area , got there at at 5-30 pm on Good Friday and left 11-30 am the Saturday and parking cost us £5-30 , not sure if it was that cheap as it was bank holiday but very good , will definitely go there again and highly recommend to others as it was no effort , would like to thank all the bar staff for a lovely evening
They could lay on a breakfast but you expect to pay more and most people who go away for the night never get up on time anyway , they do lay on cereal and pastries for free so that’s more than enough

Luke showed me where to go when I checked in. He is such a lovely, polite guy. Lovely room, clean, plenty of tea/coffee and water. Had a book recommending where to shop, eat, and so on. I had a couple of drinks in the pub that night and also met Catherine, the manager who was lovely and friendly as well. The Flowerpot is a hidden gem 💎 until you find it. I'm staying here from now on as premier inn/travelodge prices have increased much more. There is also toast, cereal etc in the kitchen included in the price as well. It is closer to work for me, and also I'd rather support small independent businesses. Thank you both for your hospitality, and I'll see you soon xx
I actually can't find anything I didn't like because everything was great start to finish.

The two day stay at the Flowerpot was faultless. We parked our car at the secure car park right next to the Flowerpot and we did not need to use the car at all in the two days we were there. The location was perfect for walking into central Derby and all the attractions there. The facilities within the Flowerpot were excellent and the staff very friendly. On our way home after our two day break we were already planning our next stay.
Couldn't have expected more.

We were met by Jess when we arrived. I don't know what her job title was but she was friendly, attentive and helpful. If I had a pub / hotel I'd want her on the team! She gave advice about the parking, just over the road, and ideas for where to eat in the area based on our preferences. The room and ensuite were perfect for our needs and had a homely feel. Plenty of tea and coffee in the room. The pub looked small from the front but opened up with different areas both inside and outside the pub. We had the pleasure of live music in one bar area - a great way to spend the evening.
We liked it all. Our room was up a few stairs which we knew when we booked, but for those who prefer not to walk up stairs it could be a disappointment.
