In my opinion, the damage fee that this hotel holds the customers responsible for is the key to their success as an excellent overnight experience. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable and the breakfast was just perfect with a nice variety of choices of breakfast offerings. The staff was warm and welcoming. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely choose the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Salem, Va. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Nothing. Everything more than met my expectations!

Place was clean and comfortable and the employees were very nice.

It would be nice if you started breakfast earlier than 7 am. Most places I stay at start breakfast at 6 am. I had to be on the road at 6:45 am and it was disappointing having to buy food on the road after spending over $160. to spend the night.

Brandi the receptionist at the front desk was so informative. Also Cory from the morning breakfast . Went above and beyond to help me with my pancakes .. The pancake maker machin was having issues and he stepped in and made a couple of adjustments and made it work for me.

Checkout time . Will definitely stay there again in the future .

We stayed in a handicap room, which was not requested, but we enjoyed the convenience and extra space. Our room was just off the main lobby, and around the corner from the breakfast area. The breakfast was very well stocked, everything was fresh, and the ladies were very helpful and friendly.

There was really nothing that we didn’t like.

The location and the handicap room was well laid out.

The angry, loud, cussing neighbor next door - management handled it but it was stressful, especially due to the interior door because it was possible to be an adjoining room.

We liked the location and the clean comfortable room on our trip to FL from NY. We were in at 6PM and out at 6AM. The gentleman at check in was very friendly.

The signage could have been easier for travelers. The side road where the hotel is located is not that hard to find unless you've been driving all day and it's getting dark.

The front desk staff and the kitchen staff are always phenomenal every time I stay here. They are the reason I keep choosing this hotel on my frequent commute from GA to PA

The bathroom is starting to see some mild wear and tear and could have used a little touch ups to make it feel a little fresher. However, it was clean.

I like how comfortable the bed was.

I didn't like that I told the breakfast staff it wasn't any sausage. She replied she wasn't fixing any more. This was at 8:35am and breakfast ends at 10am. She did fix more sausage I guess somebody said something to another staff.

Great location, clean, friendly staff and they were cleaning public areas and keeping things very nice.

Unfortunately the elevator was out while we were there. That was the only negative.

Booking. com DID NOT MAKE THE RESERVATION. There was no reservation by Booking in the motel's system. They looked and searched for 15 to 20 minutes. Finally, they worked it out for us since they had a room available. So, we do appreciate the motel. Booking has failed us BIG TIME and we are considering finding our room reservations another way.
