They were very welcoming and accommodating. Giving us a number of suggestions for walks and places to eat. Breakfast was plentiful and varied and set us up for a days walking. The room was sizeable and clean, and a good amount of cupboards/drawers. We would definitely stay again

Not a big deal and probably just because we're British 8-) There was no option to make a cup of tea in our room, although there was a fridge. Hot water was available in the breakfast area but tea/coffee was extra (not a problem as we tend to travel with our own teabags 8-)).

EXCELLENT LOCATION - less than 10 minutes walk from lake in Ribčev Laz. Travellers who stay in lake side accommodation have to endure the daily bell ringing at John The Baptist Church at seven o'clock each morning. At Hotel Gasperin we were far enough away not to be disturbed, but not too far away... :-) GREAT BREAKFASTS - very good range of hot and cold dishes with catering for GF, vegetarians etc. FRIENDLY STAFF - helpful with local information. HOTEL GASPERIN - offers a DISCOUNT on local service providers such as bike and SUP hire FREE CAR PARKING on site GARAGE STORAGE in the basement for bikes and other personal travel gear

FAMILY ROOM - had fridge and a dining table but could be improved if plates, bowls, cups and cutlery were provided. NO KETTLE - thankfully we brought our own electric travel kettle (recommended).

Good location, walking distance from the lake. There are several restaurants nearby. Room is big and clean, the beds are comfortable. Balcony was also great. This family room is a duplex room, we only used the lower part. The AC is upstairs that could be not the best if the weather is very hot (we had no problem with it). Bathroom is small, but it was very clean. Free toiletries is a bit limited. The hairdryer was very strong. Breakfast was very good, big enough selection and fresh eggs (scrambled, fried, soft boiled, omelette). Parking is free. Number of parking spaces is limited but we have a place every time. Wi-Fi was working great.

An electric kettle would be a great addition to the room. Sometimes you have to wait quite long for the warm water in the bathroom.

This is a lovely and well-run hotel in a good location a few minutes walk away from Lake Bohinj. Our double room was a reasonable size in the usual standard hotel layout, and had doors onto a divided shared balcony to the front of the hotel. Views looked across the road to the mountains beyond. The room was clean, tidy and well decorated; there was a fridge but no kettle, however there was a coffee machine in reception which is free if you don't abuse it (i.e. 0.5 euro per cup, but was not added to bill at checkout). Soft drinks, beer and snacks were also available in reception for a small fee. Breakfast was plentiful and well organised - cheeses, meats, cereals, saussage, eggs, pancakes, vegan options, bread, toast, fruits and more. The only thing they don't have is English Breakfast tea - but then very few places in Slovenia have that!

There was a little noise in the room, as you'd expect from most hotels. We could hear people walking backwards a forwards, and some brief machinery noise on occasion; maybe because our room was above the breakfast area.

Excellent location to discover the area, great hospitality and delicious breakfast! I have already recommended the hotel to our friends who plan to visit Slovenia.We received all support and informaton uppon arrival and we set up our plan for our stay within 10 minutes. We left our car at the parking lot of the hotel for the whole stay and went hiking, swimming in the lake and even visted Bled and Vintgar gorge using public transportation. Avoided the annoyance of finding parking place in peak season, paying the fee and sticking to time. Thank you for the support we get, we enjoyed complete freedome. Since there are so.many beautiful things (we didn't have time) to discover in the area we definitaly plan to come back.

Amazing location, just a quick 3 minute walk from the lake and everything that it has to offer. The staff was friendly and helpful, Kelly especially made us feel welcome right away and helped us plan our days with great recommendations. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and they have a great selection of options to meet all dietary restrictions. Our room was large, had a great view, and we loved the shower setup. The bed was extra comfortable. Overall a perfect experience and great value for the money.

Fabulous location just a few minutes walk from Lake Bohinj, a bus stop, a handful of restaurants and a shop (Mercator). The rooms and hotel are spotlessly clean. The breakfast was exceptional - a great selection and high quality items, great coffee. The owners are friendly and helpful, gave me lots of information on the local area on arrival along with a map. They also kindly let me leave my bag for a couple of hours after check out. Great experience.

The beds were too hard for me, but that is a thing of personal preference. Tea and coffee facilities in the room would be nice. I had a forest view room on the 2nd floor and you could hear the goings on in the hallway and the kitchen below in the mornings. I am a light sleeper though so probably wouldn't bother most, maybe a good idea to bring ear plugs if you are too.

This was my second visit and everything was exceptional! Rooms are perfectly clean, view of the mountains is amazing. Stuff is friendly and ready to help in every way. They give us a perfect suggestion for restaurant near by which served a perfect meal. Breakfast was delicious, eggs was made by the order and fresh. Huge variety of regular, gluten free and vegan options. Platy of Cold cuts, diary products, fruits, cereal etc.

A quiet and comfortable 2 nights. We were welcomed warmly. Variety of delicious pastries and savoury treats for breakfast on top of the usual buffet inclusions and eggs to order, all served in pleasant, airy dining room. A drying room was welcome after we were caught walking in autumn thunderstorm. Provisions of snacks, hot drinks and even small bottles of wine on an honesty system were also greatly appreciated when we came in wet! Walking distance to bustops and the lake.

It is walking distance to the lake and restaurants, there is a big free parking place, the room we stayed has a great balcony, and the room itself was big and comfortable. The breakfast is really good, eggs preparrd as you wish, a lot of pastry, dairy free and gluten free options, breakfast room is big and very nice. Also everyone is very friendly and always repyling your questions with a smile. We really enjoyed our stay in here.

A clothes airer would be nice in the balcony.
