Beautiful, small hotel. Delicious breakfast (and great restaurant, though a little on the pricey side.) The location is probably the best for a stay near Lake Bohinj, as it's only a very short walk from one of the nicest shores of the lake, and also close to the start of many hikes in the surrounding areas (by foot or free shuttle bus). I also enjoyed the garden in the evening with its beautiful views of the mountains.

I think room cleaning could be improved. The room was not cleaned (= vacuumed, surfaces wiped in bathroom, etc.) once during my stay, and I had to go to the reception to get refill of toilet paper as it wasn't taken care of by the cleaning person. I also would have enjoyed some tips about the area (maybe having a staff member at the reception would help?). But the tourist info center is quite close.

Our stay at Hotel Majorca was excellent in every respect. The location was perfect, close to the lake and the picturesque town of Stara Fuzina, with a gorgeous view of Mt. Triglav from the hotel garden. Our room was spacious, spotless and well-furnished in a modern style, the bed super comfortable, the bathroom beautiful (including a sauna!) and excellent air conditioning when needed. Kristina, the manager, was available and helpful. The huge bonus was the first class restaurant on site, we ate dinner at the restaurant both nights. The dining was sophisticated and delicious, with local ingredients and creative pairings and wonderful wine. We ate at a table in the garden, with a view of the mountains. The marvelous food was repeated at breakfast, which was abundant, with fresh fruit, eggs, homemade apple juice, fresh bread and excellent coffee. Highly recommended!!

Hotel Majerca surpassed all our expectations. For us, the location was perfect for early morning walks to the lake, but far enough away to remain peaceful and quiet. The views of lake and mountains from both room, restaurant and bar were breathtaking. The food was exceptional and, again, one of the things that make Majerca very memorable. Our room was comfortable, nice products, great shower. The hotel staff were friendly, genuinely helpful and attentive - making our stay truly memorable. Should we make another trip to Bohinj, we hope to return to Hotel Majerca.

Very hard to find anything not to like….so this is really a minor point. I appreciate a small menu meant everything on it was perfect. For vegetarians it does, however, mean choices are somewhat limited.

We have visited the restaurant last year, and liked it so much that we decided to book the hotel as well this year. The whole place is really nicely designed and the staff is lovely as well. The breakfast was one of the best we ever had at hotels, great selection and everything was very nice. We had dinner once as well, which was great, we didn't repeat it because the menu only had one vegetarian option for me, so i wanted to try something new somewhere else. Overall, everything was great and I'm sure we will return - and next time we will bring our dog, because the hotel seemed very pet friendly.

Majerca is a beautiful boutique hotel that really felt like a classy secret hideaway. Things to love about it include the stunning location, beautifully designed space, incredible restaurant and friendly, helpful staff. The hotel is about 10 minutes' walk along a quiet forest road from the nearest bus stop. It has a huge green garden adjoining the terrace/restaurant and the most gorgeous view of the surrounding mountains. This is a small hotel with just a handful of staff, but they are really nice people, particularly the guys running the restaurant. Speaking of which - dinner here is a must (there are not many options in the area anyway). The food is maybe the best I ever had in a hotel restaurant - the nduja pork belly is stunningly tasty. I think the menu rotates, but you can't go wrong. Vegetarian options are strong too, and the breakfast was also a wonderful way to kick off the day (again, very friendly service and superb coffee). The rooms are huge and the beds unbelievably comfortable. Our en-suite had a bath (!) which was a fabulous touch. The hotel has mountain bikes you can borrow for free to go for a ride around the lake or up into the hills. Other hotels would charge for this - it speaks a lot to Majerca's excellence that it was available at no cost. I'd stay there again without question and will tell my friends and family to pass by too.

I didn't dislike anything, but the hotel is very remote and has a "wellness retreat" kind of feel - so it would be nice if there was a sauna available for all guests (I believe the only sauna is in a room/suite that has its own sauna).

The hotel is small so you can get a more personal approach. The staff recommended hikes for me to do and even prepared my breakfast the night before so I could wake up very early (before breakfast times). The room was very clean and spacious, plus I had a balcony with a beautiful view. They also have a restaurant which serves really good food for a very reasonable price while you can sit in the garden with views on the mountains. The lake and a grocery shop are also only a few minutes walking away.

Nothing, I liked everything.

There's so much to love about this hotel! The rooms were comfy, cosy and stylishly designed (with really good air con). The view from our room was amazing too. Our breakfast was included and was so tasty, all locally sourced and prepared really well. There was great choice too which set us up for the day nicely! We also ate at the restaurant twice on our trip and that was outstanding too. All in all we had a great stay and would highly recommend!!

There wasn't anything we didn't love!

Absolutely perfect place to stay- hotel is beautiful, restaurant and terrace is awesome and rooms also. From hotel there is view to Bohinj lake and all the mountains around, You can rent a bicycle here and all the stuff was very kind. Definitely the most beautiful stay while our stay Slovenia - in this price level there was not better one. To lake and village it is very short walk. Best of all is breakfasts! You'll love it!

The hotel is set in a beautiful, peaceful location with rooms overlooking the lake and mountains. The balcony was our favorite spot for the morning coffee. The bed was really comfortable too. Maybe the best part is the restaurant downstairs serving amazing dishes made of locally sourced ingredients.

The room was small and barely had a place for 2 suitcases. It's ok during summer when you travel light but probably less so in winter.

Welcoming staff, great location, comfortable rooms with a great shower (water pressure). We stayed 2 nights in a room with balcony and sun loungers. Good restaurant with a wide selection of wines and knowledgeable staff. We enjoyed the short walks to the lake and appreciated their recommendations, bikes and water bottle that helped us exploring the area and climbing Mount Triglav.
