You can’t beat the location of this hotel, directly overlooking Lake Bohinj, its little bridge and its medieval church. In the evenings we loved sitting on the spacious balcony of our room, watching the clouds go pink over the Julian Alps. From our balcony we could even see a bit of Mt Triglav, Slovenia’s highest mountain. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, and breakfast, which was included in our rate, was excellent. Should also mention that the buffet dinner, at 25 euros a head including drinks, was very good value. The hotel also had a heated pool and garden, which made a pleasant change from swimming in the lake. The other thing I would stress is that Lake Bohinj is a much pleasanter and more relaxed destination than the very touristy and overcrowded Lake Bled.

Swimming pool has excellent temperature, ideal for recreational swimming. Location is perfect , right next to Edge of Lake and bridge over Sava river. Excellent walking trails. Friendly and courteus staff. Parking around hotel availiable.

Food menu choices should be modernized. Some winter drink choices in the bar should be availiable. ( cooked wine, cooked grog) since this is Apres Ski hotel in winter. Bed mattress should be better. Light ambient music is missing in restaurant , pool and recreational area.

Overall, this was a pretty good experience. We booked a double room with half board. Internet worked well. On request, we were provided with hot water and cups as there was no kettle in the room, which is common in Europe. The breakfast and dinner were quite substantial with the evening dinner including drinks. We thought the evening meal was a bit ‘canteenish’ but was still okay. Location is nice and close to the lake and there was ample free parking on site.

Probably a one off incident but, whilst surfing the TV channels looking for any English speaking news, we discovered that two channels were displaying hard core porn. Although this didn’t offend me personally, it might be a different story if it was a child surfing the channels. I notified reception who indicated they should have been blocked.

The hotel was lovely. It isn't particularly flashy but it was bright, airy, well decorated and very clean. The food was really good with a wide choice at the buffet. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean with a good view from the balcony. Easy and free to park in the hotel car park. Almost on the edge of the lake which was lovely for evening walks. If I have one gripe it's that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room but I think that's just a cultural thing and drinks were available downstairs. Thank you to the hotel and staff for such a lovely stay!!

Nothing - we liked everything.

Amazing location especially if you are lucky enough to get room 314 on top floor with corner balcony with fantastic view of lake. katja the receptionist was lovely. You can go straight out, bathe in lake and return easily. Just opposite paddleboard hire and in centre of everything. Parking included.

Pool was a bit small and nothing special. Breakfast was not inviting but edible. Lady at bar was shall we say “brusque”. The dinner did not appeal. Quite expensive for a dated 4 star hotel but still glad we stayed there especially with the rooms we got.

Surely the low season does not help a wonderful place like Lake Bohimj, but it is certain that we have found a lot of kindness. Referring to the hotel, a very beautiful structure, certainly worth taking care of some details, but they are small things. Instead, we want to thank all the hotel staff for their exceptional kindness, courtesy and availability. We could only have dinner, but it was amazing, especially the latter. Great staff, great structure, we will bring a nice memory with us. Thanks again.

The location is perfect to start hikes and explore the surrounding area. The lake is beautiful and the breakfast buffet has a lot to offer. The single rooms are quite tiny, but enough room for a shorter stay / when you're out all day anyways. The staff was always friendly and accommodating.

The sauna was not included in the price and there weren't many vegetarian options for lunch or dinner. But not a problem, since there are other great restaurants around!

Very good hotel.in a terrific location. Lovely walks very close by. Breakfasts were very good. Close to bus stops and staff were very nice. Good swimming pool though you have to pay extra for the sauna

Dining room was a bit lacking in atmosphere the outside area is definitely nicer. The dinner is a bit expensive for 25 euros and was a bit disappointing in terms of presentation and options. Ok

The view was amazing from the room, The staff were really kind and helpful The food was really good too both the breakfast and buffet dinner. The whole place is the best place to rest as it is very silent and noone is disturbing you. At night if you open the window you could even hear The rumbling of the lake and it is truly amazing there is not too much traffic at night so even that does not bother you. All in all i would recoomend this place to everyone who wish to have a bit of a peace in their life also i would recomennd to take at least 5 nights there as less would not be enough. Great location next to the lake, secure parking, very clean and new, reception staff very helpful. Laundry facilities excellent. A pleasant place to stay.

Restaurant staff were perhaps not all happy in their work. Restaurant food was not great; a mediocre buffet only was available in the evening. Breakfast was not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. Fruit salad of poor quality and little choice. Hot food rather over-cooked.
