A good value for money hotel and a handy location for what we wanted to do while in Cape Town. The staff and service was good and the rooms were spacious with everything you would expect at this level of hotel.

The food choice was a bit limited both in the breakfast buffet and if you are dining there but there are lots of places around the hotel where you can dine. Location wise you just have to be a bit careful when walking around this (CBD) area at night, there is tourist police about but you can get pestered and they can be very persistent and hence you need to be careful. If this would cause you concern then the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront area would be a better choice. Note this is not the fault of the hotel obviously.

Very spacious, quiet room, clean and very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast, menu was changed every morning. Welcoming staff in the hotel.

I booked this hotel room and later saw a better deal for the same hotel - bigger room and breakfast included. Therefore I cancelled the previous reservation (within indicated free cancellation period) and made a new one. The trick is that the 50% payment is deducted once you make the reservation and it is processed by the hotel, not by booking. I have to say that I had a very hard time to get my money back for cancelled reservation. This also cost me significant roaming bill, as I had to call them already being in the hotel. By e-mail the reservation team was not responsive at all. This is very disappointing experience besides the fact, that hotel is good and nice.

The staff are really nice and helpful. The style of the hotel is nice and the high ceiling of the rooms are impressive. Everything was simple, yet nicely done. The waitress at breakfast is great.

Location is a bit rough at night and you’ll hear screams the whole night. They only give you one bottle of (filtered) water for your stay - and while they make sure to inform you about that single complimentary water, it is customary in many hotels to have water every day. The breakfast did not impress me.

The location is central to capetown, but full of movement, lots of people. Best to ask for help from the hotel (maneeb was the best porter, extremely helpful and friendly and caring). The room was comfortable, larger and modern. Couldn't hear any hotel neighbors, but heard plenty of people outside. Best to sleep with earplugs. The windows were a little rattley so we wedged a piece of paper in between so they wouldn't wake us up. Otherwise, a great option in the middle of town!

There was no top sheet which made it more uncomfortable. The twin comforter was a little too small.

The Old Bank Hotel is wonderful in every way. But what really makes your stay unforgettable is the team of all the people who make it up. The staff is super friendly, respectful, polite and they make your experience completely pleasant and safe. The hotel has spectacular rooms, comfortable and in perfect condition. Breakfast has what you need but, if you ask, they can prepare more things for you. I've had dinner a couple of nights and the food is wonderful. Special thanks to the breakfast waitress, Aretha, for her kindness, respect and education, she does a great job! Same as the whole Team working at this splendid Hotel, such as Guelord, and many more… My rate 10 out of 10!

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel has classic hotel vibes, and the staff makes you feel like the most important guest in the world. It is ideal for easily (and affordably) catching an Uber for anywhere in the CBD and surrounding areas. The rooftop bar is fantastic after a hectic day of exploring the city. The cocktails are very well-priced! Also, a shoutout to the brilliant buffet breakfast! Just a note - there is no parking available at the hotel. However, they offer valet services to park your car at another location safely.

It would have been extra lovely if there was a pool!

The staff was very hospitable, they made sure that we were comfortable. The room was clean and of good size. The breakfast was great 👍🏾.. A good location if you want to visit the market as the hotel is in the same vicinity.

The room doesn’t have enough ventilation as the window didn’t fully open. Our room aircon didn’t work. We were not aware that parking is paid for separately. This should be clearly communicated when making a reservation. The hotel is in the middle of the mall, making it difficult to get to even with the use of GPS. Had to call the hotel for them to direct us to the place.

I booked this accommodation for myself and a few colleagues to stay at during a trip to Cape Town for our annual year-end function. The location was very central, the staff were exceptionally friendly & helpful and the rooms were comfortable, clean and excellent value for money. They also offer valet service and charge a very reasonable price for parking per day, a huge bonus for the centre of Cape Town and the limited parking available. The breakfast which is also included was a great bonus as well. I will be booking with them again!

The wifi offered by the property was a little inconsistent.

The location was very central to all the want to go tourist locations, a short walk from Longstreet and Bree Street, felt very comfortable during the day and when it came to night time staff would walk us to where we wanted to be, there is a bank around the corner and a bank, again the staff would escort us there and back is the evening and night. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bar up stairs was perfect to have a night cap in. Made Cape Town very approachable and enjoyable.

The breakfast was simple but some the job, a few minutes walk on Bree Street is a nice cafe called Rosetta and is ideal for a late brunch is you decide to skip.

The rooms are new. Bed comfortable, shower strong. The breakfast is good The staff is very friendly and aware of the limitations that the hotel entrance has.

The location was something that I didn’t like because, despite being in the very center of the city, it does not have where to park the car, and not even to stop the car when you arrive with your luggage. You must stop on the sidewalk(!) and then call someone from the hotel to help you with the luggage and then drive your car to the parking nearby that costs something around 10 US dollars per night. The roundabouts are VERY loud, I believe that’s because of the location being in the very center, and even though I stayed at the fifth floor I could hear a lot of people talking in the streets. When you enter the Hotel you see a sign saying that the hotel won’t be held accountable for you losing or damaging your property, which I didn’t think was something I wanted to see being in such place.
