Breakfast was good! Family room was nice and spacious, friendly staff, hotel was clean and nice location at the middle of CBD. Had travelled out of the Cape Town for few days (Garden Route); the hotel let my luggage stay in their store room with no extra charge. Easy access to Taxi, Uber etc.

Nothing much.. bit disappointed with one lady at the breakfast point who didn't allow us to get in the breakfast point coz we were wearing clothes that looked like PJ's... however we could see other people sitting there with the same kind of cloths (even worse) and she allowed them... double standard! However, one lady should not ruin the whole experience there. Overall was good!

The TV channels were limited, to free to air ones in SA. But some were good like Enca. But more Dstv channels could be included TV did not have ability to watch Netflix, in other words not smart. TV not facing bed. I prefer tv sets that face the bed personally. Shower not separate from Bathtub, which is something I expected Cold reception area Room landline phones took long to fix, over 3 days, so if you wanted help you had to go down to reception. But I believe this is a one off, and probably is up on most days of year. Swimming pool small and not heated. Gym area also smaller than I expected. But still good machines to get a good workout. More variety in breakfast could be done

One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed in at this price point. Stayed on 29th floor with spectacular view of the city and waterfront. Everything was clean and well kept. Excellent towels and bedding. Coffee, Tea, Bottled water in room, with fridge. On the edge of the central business district, so walkable to museums, Company Garden, City Hall, Long Street. Long walk to V&A Waterfront due to a lot of blocked/fenced routes (use google maps to guide you). Not too far from Cruise Ship Terminal. Best breakfast in any hotel, w Western and Indian options, many pastries, fresh fruit. Baggage storage available for persons w/ late flights (us). Many cautioned us about safety-not walking after dark almost anywhere in Cape Town, but we had no problems. Uber from this hotel to V&A, Botanical garden, Table Rock Tram is very economical (~35% of US prices).

We had a 4 night stay here between Christmas & New Year, with a room that has postcard perfect views of table mountain. The ambience was inviting and added to the festive vibe. There was a daily kids program which was awesome for families. Perfect location with V&A waterfront about 5 minutes away. Breakfast was lovely with a big variety of food to choose from. Food was of high quality.

The parking entrance & exit is awful especially during busy periods. There is only a very small indoor pool which is part of the spa/gym - you definitely cant relax by the poolside. There is also no rooftop or any outdoor area anywhere in the hotel vicinity - so this would have been an amazing space to enjoy table mountain views.

The staff were so friendly, so ready and willing to assist. Gerald, in particular, was gem with his "24 hour tips"...So were the guys at the bar - they made you feel really welcome, at all times. They went out of their way, whenever I had a special request, including helping me microwave some food...(even though they didnt have a microwave, they used the stove oven)! Excellent location, very safe! Great stay, all around!!! Luved it!

The buffet was very predictable and lunch options were very limited. Television channels available left much to be desired for a 4 star hotel.

The front desk, restaurant and concierge staff were professional in the discharge of their duties, very pleasant, polite and helpful. Special thanks to Rushan, Gerald, Evan, Solomon, Lindsay, Eugene etc. The location to the various sightseeing sites are easy and affordable. The hotel assists with booking cabs to various locations. Some notable shops eg. Woolworths, Truworths and restaurants are in close proximity to the hotel. The rooms are always clean. The staff of the hotel made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. I'll recommend Southern Sun Cape Sun to visitors to Cape Town.

Stellar breakfast, wonderful variety, freshness, service. It's simply amazing. Mountain view rooms great (hotel cannot do anything about clouds or fog unfortnately). Spacious room, plenty of elevators for such big tall hotel.m, so never needed to wait long. Super friendly staff.

The fitness room needs a serious update and more robustness. Also the indoor pool is in reality a splash pad at best. Better to better equip the fitness gym with more better machines. Also for rooms with bathtub, it may be time to replace the side glass rubber to keep water away during showers. I got major set floor and needed ti create a barrier with towels. Also the windows to the outside leaked some noise so also maybe time to check the gasket or seals. Neighborhood at night, not so inviting to be walking around.

Very beautiful hotel. Attentive and helpful staff. Potters and reception were on point. Comfortable beds, pillows and very clean. Enough towels, soap, coffee and bottled water in the bar fridge. Nice complementary welcoming snacks in the room Thumbs up

The long queue, waiting to dish at breakfast. There are 2 dining areas but on the 2nd day the other one was closed and as such were were congested. Had to stand in line for 30minutes waiting for food The first day food was good and there was plenty but 2nd day it was direct opposite. Minimal food It was really frustrating

The rooms were clean. Staff in general so friendly. (A special mention to Gerald going out of his way to please us so please give him a promotion) Good food in restaurants.

Pillows not comfortable. TV channels in room poor need a smart tv with Netflix, you tube etc. Restaurants decor a little outdated. Spa a little poor. Stop using plastic bottles, use glass to save our planet. Avoid all these small plastic containers like shampoo, shower gel etc and even in restaurants use dispensers Hotel should give any food left overs to the poor homeless near the station instead of disposing it. Never saw the GM on the floor or maybe he was there but did not greet us.

Thank you for having me and my son. The room was ready to accommodate my early arrival. The staff are well dressed and receptive. The concierge service was great. I like the fact that the breakfast buffet was not the same everyday and a good variety. The room was clean and the sheets were changed regularly. I loved the view from my room. I was able to see Capetown city and table mountain nicely. Very safe and secured area, good for my son and we could walk to many shops and restaurants if we did not eat in the hotel. I will definitely use your service again.

Yes, apart from all good things said. One thing that was very disturbing was my network connection which was not very stable even after I had called the technician to fix. Again, the channels could not be restricted for the child. I still strongly recommend Southern Sun Capesun. Also, there was no hotel airport shuttle as it was indicated on the website which was an extra cost
