Location. Halaal

Would be a nice touch if hotel opened the breakfast area earlier to accommodate runners for a big race such as the Cape Town Marathon

The location of the hotel is excellent and boasts lovely views of the city centre and Table Mountain. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was great, particularly enjoyed the poached eggs and omelettes, the kitchen is halaal certified.

The service could be improved, there was no hot water for most of one of the days and it took some time to fix. The wifi doesn't connect at all in one of the rooms which should be investigated.

The Capetonian hotel was phenomenal! The staff were absolutely friendly and worked hard to accommodate any of our requests. They also went over board and kept our goods in their freezer. Rooms were absolutely clean and comfortable. House keeping ensured that it stayed that way daily and were friendly. The breakfast was fully halaal and staff were incredible. The chef comes out to greet you and walk you through the menu and staff make sure all your needs are taken care of. The location is pretty central, 2 min drive to the VNA waterfront. Used the gym daily. Had basic equipment but enough for a good workout. Overall, an amazing 11/10 hotel

Parking could be a bit more secure but it did the job

I thought I made a mistake to book at the Capetonian again as I was doing this booking last minute and was impressed with the rate. I had stayed @ The Capetonian before and it was old and Horrific. I expressed myself clearly @Reception and asked if I could be refunded, clearly my partner and I were really exhausted. Anyway, I was greeted in a very polite manner by Rafiek who was on duty with his colleague and the response was phenomenal. He assured me that they have revamped certain floors of the Hotel and that he would allocate a room that was pleasing. Wow... We came up to the room 418 on the fourth floor and we were really impressed ,the size, the cleanliness and Bed Comfort .I called Rafiek at Reception to thank him over and over. The Breakast was Halaal and absolutely Delicious....the staff was like family. Thank You, Sukraan Ghairoonisha and Mohammed .

Everthing was Great . I will definetly without doubt return to THE CAPETONIAN

The hotel is well located , close to the Waterfront. Staff were friendly and assisted us by keeping our luggage till check-in. They were friendly and always offering to help or asking if all was well. The breakfast was great and Yvette is a real asset to the team. She is efficient , all breakfast items were tasty and a good variety was provided. Everything was clean and neat. Bed was comfortable.

The only negatives for us were the lack of a view and that the balcony area was old and could do with an upgrade. The metal door kept rattling when left open which was not very pleasant. Overall , despite that I would stay there again. There are minor things that can be worked on for an even better stay but nothing worth not booking here.

It is a very spacious family room. Unfortunately, one wall of the room is right next to the elevator and was quite noisy when the elevator was in use. The location was excellent since we were attending a conference at the CTICC - it was right across the road. Walking distance from the V&A Waterfront.

The room was next to the elevator and was noisy in the room when the elevator was in use - which is quite often. The bathroom door is not very private. It has a glass insert which isn't see-through, but you can see enough.

Breakfast was delicious and generous, we definitely ate well! We booked a family room for 2 couples. Amazing value for money, we almost couldn't believe the price. One room was average sized, the other was very large and spacious, and we each had our own bathroom. Great location also, close to everything. Staff were helpful - we were able to check in early, get a room with 2 bathrooms, and leave our bags after check out.

The shower in one of the bathrooms was awkward - the shower head was too low. We are average height and had to stoop to wash our hair. It seemed more suitable for children. We were 2 couples travelling, but our family room had 2 single beds in one room (pushed together), and a double in the other. It was still comfortable but would have been better with a double mattress. Our travel partners said they could hear a whirring outside all night (maybe an aircon) but we couldn't hear it. Also we could hear the call to prayer in the middle of the night, which lasted some time, but was quiet enough to fall back asleep.

The room was spacious, beds were comfortable with clean ice white bedding. The bathroom was also very clean, room services cleaned our rooms throughout our stays, we have no complaints,none-whatsover.

The 2-seater couches in both our rooms, rooms 1001 and 1019 were very uncomfortable, sunk in everytime we sat on them, that is the only thing we were unhappy with and had it reported the very next day when going for breakfast (Sunday, 12th November 2023). Safe to say that nothing was done to replace or fix the couches, had no choice but to sit on the beds (which is detrimental to the beds themselves as they are meant for sleeping and not sitting).

Everything was beautiful just the lady who received us for breakfast at the entrance as you come in for breakfast was not staff friendly she treated everyone after us like royalthy but treated us not Soo good ...She let everbody walked in but she stopped us to ask for our roomnumber .As we we sitting we watched how she treated guest coming in she didn't ask them anything or stopped them but we were stopped and we assume it was because we were the only colouree people there at that moment .My one friend felt very hurt by that it's our second here booking in when our school is having a prom and this was the first .Even the lady who collect our disches at the table didn't greet us but when she served other tables she greeted the guest .We just stood up and booked out .

The treatment we got when we went for breakfast .

The breakfast was very nice and the staff very friendly from the reception to the cooks ,, we had to wait about at hour for our room to be done but the reception made it all worthed as he made sure we got some beverages and some dessert before he went off from work ,, thank you so much I can’t remember his name ,, and thank you to the manager of that day for giving us complimentary grape juice as we did not know the romantic arrival the prices increased so we could not get the full package but the manager of that day made it all worthwhile ,, sorry I’m not good with names but thank you once again for an excellent service rendered from all staff at Capetonian hotel 🙏❤️👏💯👌👌

We didn’t like the outside parking area as we were concerned about our car ,, strangers were making a noise late at night and our car was in the open ,, and even though our view was facing to the parking area we still could not see our car ,, if it’s able to get us underground parking for next time please and maybe a view to the sea
