Everything,it was perfect .The service was great ,the food was amazing and the swimming pool is warm and enjoyable .It was clean and comfortable .I highly recommended it .The butler and staff are very friendly.

That there wasn't Netflix,Disney ,showmax and other tv channels.It was such a bummer.The room service wasn't there to help us

I recently stayed at the Garden Court Umhlanga from the 21st to the 23rd of February, and again from the 23rd to the 25th, due to a last-minute cancellation at Royal Palm. My experience at the hotel was overall very positive, with a smooth and comfortable stay. Positives: Convenient Location: The hotel is well-situated, offering easy access to Gateway Mall and nearby attractions. Comfortable Rooms: The rooms were clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all the essentials for a relaxing stay. The beds were especially comfortable. Friendly Staff: The team was welcoming and professional, ensuring a seamless check-in process and providing excellent service throughout my stay. Great Breakfast Selection: The breakfast buffet had a good variety of options, all fresh and well-prepared. Smooth Transition: Given my unexpected return on the 23rd, the check-in process was quick and efficient, making the change stress-free. Negatives: Minor Maintenance Needed: While the rooms were comfortable and clean, some areas could use a bit of upkeep to keep everything in top condition. Nothing major, but a little attention to detail would go a long way. Final Thoughts: Garden Court Umhlanga exceeded my expectations with its comfort, convenience, and service. My initial booking at Royal Palm was purely based on cost, but after seeing the state of that hotel, I was relieved to return to Garden Court. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable stay in Umhlanga.

Durban is run down and not worth visiting. Thank goodness for the Garden Court!

We adore this hotel because it offers excellent value. The location is ideal, just a short walk from Gateway shopping centre and the beach was a mere 2 minute drive. The room was perfect for our family of three (one adult and two kids), with a spacious bathroom featuring both a separate shower and bathtub. The room was cleaned daily, and we particularly enjoyed the breakfast. However, my niece insists that pancakes should be served every day during holidays and not just on weekends!!! The kids loved the heated pool area!!!

The woman who prepared the eggs could benefit from some customer service training as her demeanor lacked friendliness. Initially, I thought she might have had a bad day on the first day, but even after making an effort to engage in small talk on the second day, I received the same unfriendly treatment. Food should be served with a smile!

The hotel was ideally located for our purposes. Enjoyed that the hotel offered a holiday programme for the kids during December which kept the little ones busy when we needed some down time.

The card system in the elevator was often frustrating as your card would take multiple attempts to read. As our room was on the 1st floor by the time the card would work we would sometimes travel to the higher floors and would have to then go to our floor. This was a common problem with many other guests experiencing the same frustration.

From the moment that we checked in, we felt welcome and at home. The front desk ladies that we have dealt with made our day with always being friendly and helpful. Bridget is an absolute star and always has a kind, friendly smile to offer. My toddler loved the open, clean spaces to roam around and play in, and with the staff being friendly, he was more than comfortable to do so. The bar and restaurant was incredibly helpful with some special little requests for bottles for our babies, so we had no hassles to try make plans outside of the hotel. Truly an incredible team and hotel and we would definitely return! Thank you

The hotel is beautiful, it was very clean the room was neat and cozy the bed was comfortable 👌..The buffet dinner and breakfast was something to remember..

When we checked in at 3pm ..We then came down to grab a quick bite before the buffet.. I was quite disappointed because our food took like 50 mins before it arrived .. we ordered chips, strips , calamari, beef strips, and Buffalo wings .. The beef was dry, not worth the money spent , and Buffalo wings were boiled its like they just added a sauce on top ..

Just right in Gateway mall. Parking-i luv hotels with safe parking..our security was ensured.breakfast n dinner was good too

We stayed in a family room..room too small to be family room open space just two double beds separated by lamp table..with one chair on the wall attached table..not fit for 2 adults and 2kids...i feel some how we were robbed there

The team at breakfast was very accommodating of my vegetarian family. Breakfast was just awesome. My kids really loved the heated pools as well. Thank you!!!!

We booked in as a family of 4, but the room only had 2 of everything: bath towels, tea, coffee, etc. When asking for additional items from housekeeping, it took forever for them to come and their attitude was poor as they made it seem like we were going to steal the towels or condiments. We did not appreciate the poor hospitality in this regard. Note that this was the only complaint we had.

The pool was good and the service from the staff I had forgotten some of my stuff but I did get them from the housekeeping team

The access cards really gave me the hard time of which it wasn't working at the lift and why the steps are not accessible I ended up jumping on the wrong floor tying to open the lft I was really not happy and it came to my thought of my safety I jumped on the 2nd floor with hope of getting the steps to get to the 3rd floor I was the they other male and that male started touching me I had found that very uncomfortable and unsafety I was really really not happy

Location,Heated pool,Meals,Cleanliness and Comfort..and the Staff was the best and very Helpful

There was noise in a room opposite us Room 430 we couldn't sleep from 2am but Security tried and finally won around 4am😭😭,the issue of iron and ironing board..i waited until I left on Saturday for the Iron..asked for an extra blanket as well on Friday night..they kept saying they will bring it and never did..I was really not impressed about that. One last this please would you allow adults to use the Swimming area until 22H00??
